We invite you to come enjoy our family home. It’s been in our family for over 50 years. Originally belonging to Keith Russell, owner of the restaurant Rudy’s Place at the bottom of the hill. A native Bahamian, our family coming to the Abacos during the Revolutionary War.
Interior was completely renovated with completion in late 2017. We put a new roof on in March of 2019. King bed in the master with ensuite bath, queen bed with Jack and Jill full bath, also an extra sleeping loft with full sized bed, up our ship stairs off the main living room.
The house has cable, WiFi, local phone, and whole house automatic generator.
Chef’s kitchen boasting a large sink, an additional island prep sink, gas cooktop topped with plantation teak countertops. Fully equipped with stainless and nonstick cookware. Keurig and toaster are hidden away in appliance garage to the right of the sink, keeping the countertops clear. The island seats 6+, we often have 10 or more for family gatherings. Kitchen is an open concept to the living area. Also opening to an Eastern 14’ door to the deck as well as a 6’ door to the outdoor kitchen.
32” TVs in both bedrooms, with a 55” TV in the living alcove off the kitchen. Not currently depicted. There are Bose outdoor speakers available via Bluetooth.
Almost 800 feet of deck space has been added to the home. Also not depicted is an outdoor kitchen with grill, sink, and seating. Parking for plenty of golf carts.
We simply truest enjoy our home but homes are meant to be shared and we look forward to sharing ours with you and the memories you’ll make there.

The host was very welcoming and accommodating. We loved the house … clean, comfortable and really a beautiful home. The location was quite and just a 6 minute ride to town to restaurants and shops. We hope to be back next year!!!!
The property perfect for our stay for a family Wedding. It is well appointed with comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. It has an automatic full house generator which was needed several times during our stay. The owner was very easy to reach and took great care of us when on the island.
House was in great shape and conveniently located to move from one end of the island to the other by golf cart. As others have stated, the driveway/road to the house is rough.
This was one of the best and cutest houses I’ve stayed in!! Short golf cart ride to everything, great view and has everything you need!!! We are definitely going to stay here next year
The house was great! Very well appointed. Jess did a great job communicating and was very helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Magnolias. It was a great experience. I have already recommended it to two other families coming to Elbow Cay in the future.
I had a wonderful stay at this property. All amenities are as stated in the listing The owner was extremely helpful in trying to help me with a problem I had with a Golf Cart rental (he did not have anything to do with the problem)There were also a couple of incidents at the property which were resolved very quickly (within half an hour)The only minor inconvenience is the very short access road to the property which is extremely bumpy (not paved)I recommend this property
We loved our stay! I think it worked well for adults but not sure if we would've had our kids with us. We are definitely going to bring them and check it out though.
Excellent property. Absolutely adorable and well maintained. The owners were extremely responsive and helpful. The house has easy access to everything Hope Town has to offer. We cannot wait to go back next summer!
We had a great experience at this location. The Magnolia house was so cute and worked out great with our family. The owner’s checked on us to see if we checked in before our arrival and made us feel very welcomed. They also checked in on us during our stay to see if we needed anything. We will definitely visit the Magnolia again.
We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay in Hopetown. The house was fully equipped! It was cozy, and the kids loved the loft. The home is very nice and is a short golf cart ride from the convenience store, the sports bar, and On Da Beach. Highly recommend
Owner was accommodating and friendly, house is even better than pictures...very clean, pretty, great view of ocean from the deck and well stocked with everything you would expect and then some. Highly recommended

Loved having Paul’s family share our home. Hope we see them on their next visit to Hopetown
The house was perfect. Super clean and updated. Location was great. Just a short golf cart ride to On Da Beach and Fire Fly. House/ location felt very safe. The owners were super nice and helpful. We will definitely be back! Thank you again, Ashley
Terrific house for a get away for our group of four. We enjoyed having leisurely time at the house, and the kitchen was well equipped. The house is central to most everything on the island via a golf cart. We enjoyed beaches, the various restaurants and some island exploring. The house was terrific and quite up to date especially considering the hurricane that came through in 2019. Very nice vacation.

About the host
Hosted by Phillip Russell
I’m Jess and my husband Phillip inherited his uncle’s home in 2016. I’m from Florida but he and his family are originally from the Bahamas, since the Revolutionary War. Phillip is Hope Town born and raised. We have a two year old, Magnolia, who loves to get back to Hopetown to see her grandparents and cousins. We have a lot of family still on the island, all the better excuse to get back to visit. We are both pilots for major airlines in the US.
What makes this property unique
Close to everything but out of the settlement for privacy. Great house to get away from it all or have everyone come together. We built the house with the plans of having lots of friends and family over. Minus some serious stairs to the the loft it’s very family friendly. That said our two year old can’t get enough of playing in the loft, supervised of course. Also the coldest sleep in the house. Also taking advantage of our Eastern exposure we added a large deck that’s shaded by the afternoon with a great outdoor cooking/entertaining space. Walking distance to dockage as well.
