**2 Kayaks Included** Cabin 3 at the Holiday is a four-season cabin rental just South of the town of Phelps. Once part of the historic Holiday Lodge and Resort, Cabin Three is on North Twin, one of the finest Walleye, Musky lakes in the region as well as one of the best Perch and panfish lakes. We have a beautiful view of the lake with easy access and a private dock just a short walk away. Shore/bottom of lake by dock is washed stone and sand. Great for swimming. Bring aqua socks for tender feet, as there are some rocks closer to shore.

Note: During Summer months between the holidays of Memorial and Labor Day we do hold our cabin for full week rentals Saturday to Saturday. This has been a tradition for weekly family vacations since this property was a resort in the early 1900's. We are flexible if dates are still open in the Spring.

This cozy 1,100 sq ft A frame has two lofts upstairs. One bedroom with 1 twin bed and one full, a second with 3 twin beds. Master bedroom downstairs 1 Queen bed. We have...

Great get away cabin

Although the cabin appears to be older, it was quite clean and the amenities were all that we needed. The lot was spacious with plenty of parking and the lake is large and beautiful. The public boat launch is nearby and the private dock is very nice, with electric available for charging boat batteries.

Musky Trip!

This is my second time staying here. Todd is a great host! This place great for our fishing trip. Close to the boat landing and plenty of parking! The cabin is great, we always had what we needed for cooking our meals. We will be back! (The muskies were biting too!)

Great Twin Lake Experience

The cabin was very nice. Clean, and well equipped. Great front porch. Communication was excellent from the owners. Nice TV and satellite. Good appliances and furnace. A/C also available.

Great Place

We had a great trip to Phelps. The property we stayed at was very clean and just right for a few fisherman. Everything worked well, even the air conditioners. We had eagle flying overhead and deer walking through the yard. The fishing was a little slow while we were there, but we still found plenty. The only drawback is the property is not right on the lake so you can't see your boat at the pier from the house, but that's minor. We were even able to contact the owner of the property for some fishing advise. We all enjoyed our trip and we will probably be back next year.

Not located on the lake

Beware the cabin is not located on the lake. It is located on the other side of a dirt road with a cabin and trees blocking views of the lake. There is a dock but you access it via a strip of property that leads to the dock. If you have a boat and need electric hookup a cord has to be run from someone else's property. The description should state that this cabin is not located on the lake. The pictures and description are deceptive. Cabin was as described. Not a bad place to stay if you don't want to be on the water or you are not worried about your boat. Deck and grill were nice.

Peaceful Location

The house was fairly clean. The beds varied for comfort. The listing states for an updated kitchen in 2011 with new pots/pans/utensils, these items are no longer new and it’s a mix of pots/pans that we made work but they are definitely well used. Overall for the price the place was fine but definitely gives you more of an old hunting cabin feel.

Great vacation with family

Nice quiet location with low traffic. Very nice place to ‘unplug’ and enjoy summer activities on the lake and in the woods in the area. Cabin is not on the lake - very nice to go ‘back to the woods’ when the group needs a break from sun glare from the water. Very relaxing.

Had to clean a bit. Air conditioner filters made a smell. But all women so cleaning was ok. Very comfortable. Kitchen stocked very well. Nice and quiet. Had an owl visiting us.

Beautiful view by the lake

Very cute, quiet and cozy. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked. We just had to bring our food and toiletries. Definitely a place worth checking out.

Nice place with great surrounding scenery.

The owner Todd was friendly and easy to get in touch with.The place was well furnished and very clean.It does sleep eight but it is a bit tight with that many.Todd gave us some tips on the lake that helped.Fishing was tough the week we were up there.Large lake without much cover so the heavy winds made it tough.Still had a great time .countless times had eagles flying low and right over our cabin.Had a nightly visit from a deer that was nice for the kids.With the exception of the tough fishing had a great trip.Would recommend for the price it’s a good value.

Perch were hungry

Everything was as listed. Rented a pontoon from Barefoot Water Sports and got on a good school of perch. Todd have some good ideas for fishing spots and caught over 100 perch. Kept enough for a couple meals. Good getaway for a fishing trip and no cell phone service.

Our stay at the cabin was great! Cool design of the cabin being an A-frame. Lots of space and beds, clean rooms and kitchen, and overall the place was as described. Todd was easy to get ahold of if we had any questions. Would recommend to others and will be back!

Northwoods Cute A frame

This place was exactly as advertised, clean, quiet, and close to the water. A short walk took us to the pier on the lake, and the whole setting was quiet and beautiful. Everything worked, and our only surprise was that there was no door between the two bedrooms upstairs - which was NOT a problem for us.

Great Northwoods getaway!

Cabin 3 makes for a great place to enjoy beautiful North Twin. While not directly on the water, there are views of the lake and access to a nice dock for 1-2 good sized boats. North Twin is hard to beat for watersports or fishing. Cabin has a large deck to relax on and nice grill for cooking, very clean & well maintained.

Weekend Getaway

Cabin 3 is a great place to stay. This was our first stay, and will not be our last. There is plenty of room, inside and out, for us and our family. The cabin is close enough to the highway, but is secluded enough that you would never know it. Of all the places we have stayed, Cabin 3 has been the nicest and most well supplied we have been in. The kitchen has a full size fridge, nice microwave, newer clean stove, and full assortment of pots, pans baking dishes and enough silverware for everyone. These are just a few things that make the kitchen great. Todd was very easy to work with and responded in a timely fashion. We would highly recommend staying at Cabin 3. We loved our stay, with plenty of room for cars, trucks, boats and trailers. There were many amenities we did not use but would love to make mention of. An inviting fire pit for family time, fish house for those people who are looking to clean their catch and a private dock for those who want to tackle North Twin or just watch a great sunset.

Needing lake time away

Cabin #3 was wonderful in every way. Dealing with the owner was very easy and professional. Communicating with the caretaker was flawless and he is a wonderful man. The children and I were very excited and relieved when we saw the cabin, especially considering the price. It could have been much higher for what we got. The furnishings were rustic and cute, everything they provided was exactly what was necessary, and the place was very clean. Renting the 16' boat with motor made the weekend just what we needed. We will be back!

We have owned Cabin 3 since the Summer of 2005. Our family enjoys providing a comfortable year round retreat for those who wish to enjoy the Northwoods as we do. Our goal is to provide an affordable stay with all the comforts of home. We treat our guests with all the amenities that we want when we visit.

Why they chose this property

North Twin has provided years of fantastic fishing without the over commercialized feel of more populated destinations in the Northwoods. It is a quiet lake with a beautiful views, and sunsets from our dock are spectacular! Our lot is very large (almost an acre) with a 1/2 court recreational basketball court. We have a lawn for games, and neighbors are spread out with no feeling of being crammed next to the other cabins in the area.

What makes this property unique

Access to some of the best Walleye and Musky fishing in the State. We provide a very spacious lot for playing, relaxing, parking your toys and trailers without other cabins right on top of you. Sit on our deck and enjoy the Bald Eagles cruising the shoreline or perching in the trees above. Paddle the quiet shoreline with our kayaks provided.
