About this property
Hiker Heaven!! Come and enjoy.
The greatest network of hiking trails in New England, from the very easy to the very difficult, virtually at your doorstep!! Ours is a secluded, private three-bedroom cape with a spectacular view of the Northern Presidential Range, in the northern White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Randolph is a small town with a unique history. Back in the grand hotel era of the late 1800’s, the guests in Randolph were hikers and trail builders, often academics and clergymen, and some of the cottages in town are still owned by their descendants.
We are minutes from Pinkham Notch, and a half hour from North Conway to the south, Sunday River and Bethel to the east, and Franconia Notch to the southwest. Santa’s Village is a 15 minute drive to the west. The town swimming hole is two minutes away. The Mount Jericho State Park ATV facility is only several miles away, and ATV’s are street legal in Gorham (not in Randolph). Moose Brook State Park and Great Glen in Pinkham Notch Are very close with trails for mountain biking, and the Presidential Rail Trail passes through Randolph. We have a notebook at our cabin with suggestions for hiking, mountain biking, ATVing, restaurants, etc.
We welcome our guests to our cabin, and we expect them to treat it as their home also, and not a motel room.
We have recently decided that we have to charge $10 extra per night for guests with dogs. We ask that the dogs stay downstairs and not be allowed on the beds.
Accommodates 4-6 : the twin beds are trundles.

About the host
Hosted by John Person

I am a formerly avid hiker and peakbagger (I was the first to climb the 1000 highest peaks in New England, all solo) but now, beset by aging and deteriorating balance, I am more of a distance runner, attempting to be competitive in the 70+ age group.
