L'Escal'Arbonne, in the heart of the Fontainebleau forest and climbing sites

Environment and place:
In the heart of the forest of Fontainebleau, mythical place for climbing and walks, we welcome you to "l'Escal'Arbonne" for a stay with family or friends.
Just 50 km from the gates of Paris, ideally located between Fontainebleau and Milly la Forêt, and only a few km from the village of the painters of Barbizon, come and make a stopover with us! You will be seduced by the environment, the calm and the nature!
Many possible activities in the region (hiking, mountain biking, climbing, trail, horse riding, canoeing, castle visits, etc.)

Housing:
Apartment type F2 of about 40m², comfortable, with independent access and parking space.
Separate entrance leading to living room with open kitchen, dining area and lounge.
Upstairs, large separate bedroom with king size bed 180cm + single bed 90cm + storage.
Shower room with WC.
Possibility of sleeping in the living room sofa (140cm queen size bed)
Very calm environment and large garden of 2400m² with games for children (swing, trampoline, Mölkky, balloons etc ...).
For aperitifs or outdoor meals, part of the garden is reserved for accommodation, with garden table, chairs, parasol, etc.

Facilities:
Dishwasher, fridge, microwave grill, coffee maker, kettle, dishes and utensils, TV, DVD player, board games, games for children, travel cot, baby bath, books etc ...

L'Escal'Arbonne is a 5-minute walk from a pizzeria, restaurant, grocery store and farms selling local products.

Cosy apartment with spacious garden

The apartment was perfect: very clean and tidy, thoughtfully equipped and close to many bouldering spots. Our two small sons especially enjoyed the garden! Aurelie and Christophe were perfect hosts and gave us helpful Infos. Thank you! We will certainly come back!

La forêt tout autour à quelques minutes à pieds, vélo ou voiture, les fameux blocs à deux pas, Le Cyclop et l’accrobranche tout aussi proches, on est bien placé ! Le gîte invite à passer le temps au jardin, à dîner dehors et à cuisiner au barbecue. Nos enfants ont adoré la présence de jouets, livres et DVDs. Enfin les hôtes sont aux petits soins pour s’assurer que le séjour se passe bien et de bon conseil pour bien profiter des environs.

Very nice hosts and perfect location

The apartment ist perfectly located close to several bouldering spots within a 10 minute-drive (bois rond, canche aux mercier, 95.2, Isatis, etc.). The apartment is quite cozy and the kitchen is well equipped. Christophe and Aurelie were very helpful and welcoming! See you next year!

Great location and lovely home to stay

We really loved to stay at this place! The house location was right in the center of many popular bouldering areas, within about 5-10 mins drive you will arrive in a place . Super convenient! The rooms we stayed in was just next to the host’s house above their garage. It has a super comfy king size bed and a small single bed, we had a cot bed for our 2 year old daughter. Well- equipped kitchen and dinning area. Our daughter extremely loved their garden, as there were a large trampoline, swings, slides and climbing frame... Highly recommended home stay for couples with young child!

Lovely holiday home with garden

We had a great stay at l'escal'arbonne! The house was nice and clean and we had access to a great part of the garden. The owners ware kind and welcoming and exlained in great detail where to go and what we could do in the surrounding area. Great location for climbing and other outdoor activities near Fontainebleau, since everything is very closeby. Thank you Aurelie and Christophe (and Charles) for the great stay!

Quiet, comfortable Gite with kind, thoughtful owners.

In Addition to the comfortable, clean and quiet environment, we were grateful for Christophe and Aurelie’s forethought. As we were arriving from Canada early in the morning, they extended an offer of early check in for us. Given jet lag and one of us being injured, we were grateful to take the kind offer! Tips and referrals for climbing, restaurants, and community events were all outstanding! Retiring to the restful beds was a treat at the end of the day. What we will remember most about this property and owners is the thoughtful, kind owners with an easy and relaxed environment. Thank you Aurelie and Christophe!

In the heart of the boulder area

Very nice appartement. It is a nice little house next to the owners house. The family next door is very friendly and like to help. They know a lot of cool spots in this area. The house was very clean and we found everthing we needed. Nice decoration so you can have a nice an stressless holiday this area. If the weather is good there is enough space to sit in the garden and have a barbecue. If you want you can rent crashpads or bikes from the owner.

Sehr schöne Wohnung mit perfekter Lage zum Bouldern

Die Wohnung war sehr schön und hat gehalten was auf den Bildern versprochen wurde. Besonders zu erwähnen die Gastfreundschaft des Vermieters. Außerdem ist die Lage für Boulderer perfekt da alle Gebiete in weniger als 15 Minuten zu erreichen sind. Die Unterkunft ist jedem zu empfehlen!

Those young guys can be trusted without any problem and I recommend them to any other host for their future trips. The appartment was left very clean and in order. Schöne Lage zum Wandern und Bouldern. Gerne wieder.

Wir hatten uns sehr kurzfristig für einen Aufenthalt in der Region von Fountainbleau entschlossen und waren sehr überrascht schon am selben Tage eine Bestätigung von Christophe zu bekommen. Da wir noch nicht wußten, wann wir genau ankommen würden, haben wir dies wunderbar über Whatsapp zeitnah mit Christophe klären können. Die Kommunikation mit unserem Vermieter war ausgezeichnet. Hilfreich waren auch seine Deutschkenntnisse ! Mit der Unterkunft waren wir sehr zufrieden. Schön eingerichtet und sauber. Die Wohnung hat einen separaten Eingang und Garten. Ein eigener Parkplatz steht auf dem Grundstück direkt vor der Haustür zur Verfügung. Die Familie wohnt im Nachbarhaus und ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Fernseher verfügt für Nachrichten über 2 deutschsprachige Sender Arte und DW. Die Lage ist als Ausgandspunkt für Wanderungen und zu den Bouldergebieten ausgezeichnet. Für Boulderer interessant : man kann von Christophe Chrashpads leihen. Boulderführer und Wanderführer sind auch vorhanden. Fazit : Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Great location & great accomodation!

We had a very pleasant stay with the family at L'Escal'Arbonne. First of all the owners are very proactive and attentive to make tour stay as pleasant as possible. The accomodation itself is perfect for a family with two small children. Especially the garden is really spacious and has a small playground and trampoline. And finally the accomodation is perfectly situated in the heart of fontainebleau, which is perfect for bouldering, hiking and other trips in the area. In short, we had a great stay and I can highly recommend it!
