Spacious charming property, well equipped, with large park and tennis

Valletta is an elegant castle located in the heart of Poitou, between Châtellerault and Poitiers, close to the Futuroscope.
This house dating from the seventeenth century was restored and enlarged during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
The assets of Valletta are many for those who wish to rest in a harmonious setting and enjoy the wealth of Poitou in a family home combining tradition and comfort.
The house is located in the heart of a park of 10 hectares composed of wood and flower garden. A small river runs along the edge of the property.
With a living space of 500m², the house is spread over 3 levels and can accommodate up to 16 people (ideally 12 adults maximum).

Inside, we find all the facilities of a main residence: fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, 6 gas burners, kettle, toaster, flat screen TV, DVD, WIRELESS.
The house is also equipped with complete equipment to enjoy the outside: garden furniture, tables and chairs for meals, charcoal barbecue, deckchairs.

For children this is a dream place with a trampoline, a swing, a wooden cabin, an inflatable castle and a ping pong table.

Athletes are not left with a tennis quick and bicycles available (including 2 with baby seat).

Rental Information: The minimum rental is one week.

In addition ...

For lovers of the unusual, an original room (double bed) and a small lounge are at the top of the tower.

A room with a single bed and its bathroom (sink and shower) is on the ground floor and has its own entrance.

Great location for a cycling vacation

My group of 6 cyclists hired the Chateau for a week to cycle around the area. The Chateau had a lot of charm and character and all the facilities we needed - and more. We cooked at home every night and the kitchen facilities were good and there was a huge dinner table for us to use.

Maison super agréable et au charme indéniable! Les photos sont conformes et sincères. Très bien située (accès autoroute, train, Futuroscope) donc très calme selon le sens du vent! Mais c’est vraiment supportable. Parfaite pour une grande bande d’amis (nous étions 16 dont 7 enfants de 7 à 14 ans). Et un grand merci au propriétaire pour les échanges que nous avons pu avoir.

Incroyable séjour au château. Lieu magnifique, tout est réuni pour passer des vacances rêvées. Nos hôtes étaient très accueillants. Seul problème, nous n'avons pas pu utiliser la piscine à cause d'algues qui ont rendu son accès impraticable. Malheureusement le problème n'a pas été résolu durant notre séjour. Dommage.

Grand domaine pour vacances à plusieurs familles

Cette grande maison ancienne possède tous les équipements nécessaires pour loger plusieurs familles sans que l'on empiète sur l'espace de personne. Le bois attenant à la propriété est gigantesque, les jardins sont pourvues de jeux pour enfants trampoline, balançoires et cage de football. La cuisine pourvoie tout l'équipement nécessaire à la préparation de repas qui raviront de grandes tablées. Toutes les chambres possédaient également un ventilateur ce qui nous a permis de supporter les deux jours de chaleurs de la semaine. Nous avons l'habitude de partir depuis bon nombre d'années en groupe d'ami et depuis peu se sont rajoutés les enfants (12 adultes et 7 enfants), rien n'a manqué à notre confort.

Château ancien avec tout le confort nécessaire

Très grande maison ancienne où nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Nous avons pris tous nos repas à l'extérieur à l'abri du soleil compte tenu de l'orientation. Nous avons bien profité du parc pour les promenades et du court de tennis en parfait état. Hôte très disponible en cas de problème. Nous avons bien l'intention de revenir.

La vie de château à la portée de tous

Superbe résidence avec une grandeur inouie. La maison est immense, non seulement il y a énormément de chambres mais à cela s'ajoutent encore des bureaux, livings, ... Nous avions avec nous une personne en chaise roulante et il y avait un appartement au rdc qui était parfait. Nous louons chaque année avec un groupe d'environ 15 personnes et - en tant que amateurs culinaires - nous voyons rarement une cuisine aussi bien équipée: spacieuse, bien fournie, dotée d'une énorme cuisinière, ... L'espace extérieur est fantastique:::::::, un énorme parc et un bois privés plus terrain de tennis. Les dépendances qui sont au service du locataire étaient sympas:, :::: la 'salle de mariage' était immense et il y avait une table de pingpong, un babyfoot, ... A part ça il y avait plusieurs vélos, des raquettes de tennis, .... En plus de tout ça, l'accueil était très chaleureux et relaxe (merci Mélanie!). On reviendra!

An exceptional property

Sincere thanks for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. Situated in a quiet village a short drive from Poitiers, La Valette is a chateau full of character and charm set in a beautiful parkland. The house easily accommodated our family group of 7 adults and 4 teens, with room to spare for half a dozen more. Rooms were furnished comfortably and sympathetically in keeping with the magnificence and charm of the house. The kitchen was amply equipped with everything we needed to cater for our large group. Above all, we loved the outdoor space, large gardens and woodland to the front and rear, together a small pool and a well-maintained tennis court. We didn't really got round to using the bikes or the table tennis/table football in the games room, but made good use of the football goals and badminton net in the grounds. Nearby, the Lac de St Cyr provided great swimming opportunities for the boys, as well as kayak & pedalo hire, and a aquapark to amuse the family. The nearest town, Poitiers, is a charming place to explore and Futuroscope (one of France's most famous theme parks) is only a 10 minute drive away and great fun. Thank you to our wonderful hosts for a lovely holiday. It truly was a privilege to stay. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

Excellent option for large family gathering

Beautiful property with lots of space for outdoor games, great tennis court in good shape and plenty to do in the surrounding country side. Friendly and extebsive reception by the host who is clearly very fond and proud of this property that is still regularly used by the family.

La vie de chateau

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille au chateau de La valette. Le cadre etait magnifique et l'endroit absolument reposant. Ballades dans la forêt du parc, tennis en famille et baby foot avec les enfants. Le calme a permis de belle siestes sous les arbres. L'acceuil que ce soir au depart ou l'arrivee a ete parfait et fort sympathique. Nous mettons cette adresse dans nos favoris.

Excellente semaine à La Valette

Excellent accueil. Nous avons passé une très agréable semaine à 8 adultes + 7 enfants. La demeure est superbe, très bien équipée pour de très grandes familles ou couples d'amis (il y a suffisamment de chambres et de salles de bains pour que tout le monde soit au calme). Le parc est très grand et bien entretenu, beaucoup de jeux pour petits (château gonflable, trampoline, jouets...) et grands (tennis, ping-pong, baby...). Nous reviendrons avec plaisir :)

Une semaine parfaite pour familles nombreuses

Nous avons passé une semaine à 8 adultes et 7 enfants dans cette immense et superbe demeure. Nous avons été très bien accueillis. La maison est très spacieuse et permet à chacun d'occuper des chambres sans se marcher dessus. Nombreux équipements pour cuisiner facilement. Nous avons pu profiter de l'immense parc, et des très nombreux jeux pour les enfants (et aussi pour les grands avec tennis et ping-pong).

Desde el primer momento ha sido una estancia encantadora, el recibimiento, el Chateau, los datos que nos han facilitado de los puntos de interés de los alrededores... por supuesto la casa en si, que es fantástica y muy espaciosa, la pista de tenis, los paseos por el bosque; además de las fresas del huerto ¡desde luego! Las fotos coinciden totalmente con la realidad, si acaso se quedan algo cortas, todo es mucho mejor visto en persona; todo esta limpio y cuidado y la atención recibida de los propietarios ha sido encantadora. Nosotros lo recomendamos sin ninguna duda... Muchas gracias por todo.

Vacaciones inolvidables !!!Nos ha encantado!!

Encantadoras vacaciones en esta finca. Hemos pasado unos estupendos días alojados en esta mansión, con suficientes habitaciones para 16 personas (eramos 4 familias), y a una aceptable cercanía de los más importantes castillos del Loira. El "chateau" estaba perfectamente equipado, con un salón comedor con mesa amplia donde hemos disfrutado de unas cenas familiares entrañables y una espaciosa cocina, con todos los utensilios necesarios y una gran mesa de desayunos. !!Y con fresas recién cogidas del huerto!! También hemos tenido buenos paseos en bicicleta, o a pie por el encantador bosque de la propiedad. !!Una delicia!!! Lo recomendaremos. Muchas gracias a los propietarios.
