About this property

Historic 3 Bedroom on Chatham Square

The Chatham House is a private historic row house right off of Chatham Square. Located 2 blocks from Forsyth Park and within walking distance to all of Downtown Savannah and the Victorian District which includes the Starland District. All mattresses are Tuft & Needle memory foam.

There is an eat in kitchen, patio and foosball table.

Styled with a bit of classic modernism, the space has a full Greenpan and Stainless Steel cookware set as well as Calphalon bakeware. The Moccamaster coffee maker replicates a beautiful classic pour-over, but at scale for the number of guests. Cangshan Japanese cutlery for all the slicing and dicing, and an electric kettle for tea on demand.

All TV's are smart TV's with access to all your apps and each has a Chromecast Ultra for 4k streaming.

We offer super-plush towels and a full suite of care products by Public Goods that are free of every harmful chemical under the sun and scented with just essential oils.

Everything. Treat it like a home and it'll feel like a home.

We leave you it to it. The entire check-in/out process is completely digital. But, if you need us, just send a message through the app and we'll get right on it.

At the bottom of the Historic District by Forsyth Park. Walkable to everything, but quiet enough and right off a beautiful square.

Best by foot or bike.

PARKING: There is limited free parking in front of the property. Or you can often find a free spot south on Tattnall for free just a block up the street and then forget about it. Except on street sweeping nights.

Otherwise, you will be looking for metered street parking. Beware of street sweeping signs for the early morning hours. Should you need a spot, we highly recommend you download the Park Savannah app to pay. It makes it much more convenient. Meters are free after 5 PM and on the weekends.

Lastly, the city has visitor parking passes. Visitor Parking Passes are $15.00 (1 day) and $24.00 (2 days). The Visitor DAYPASS is available at Mobility & Parking Services, 100 East Bryan Street, BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Call ahead.

There are bikes you can borrow free with the house.
HOUSE RULES

-Noise is a big deal in Savannah. The City Ordinance states that a sound can't be above 50 decibels (dB) between 7 PM and 7 AM for residential homes. This is a conversational volume.

-Any courtyard or outdoor area must be vacated by 10 PM Friday – Saturday and 9 PM Sunday – Thursday out of courtesy to the neighbors and other guests. This is also to comply with the City of Savannah Noise Ordinance. It is our main concern that you truly enjoy your visit to Savannah. The city will assess heavy fines for violation of the noise ordinance.

-This is a lodging-only property. No parties are allowed on the grounds except for events utilizing the whole estate and where the owner grants a permit.

-We cannot accommodate late check-outs and need you to please observe the designated check-out time (11 AM). This is a large property, and the place must be cleaned and readied for the next guest, and our cleaners work on very tight schedules.

-We cannot accommodate early check-ins for the same reason. If you need a place to store your bag before your designated check-in time of (4 PM), you can drop your bags off in the room any time after (12 PM)

-Please always remove shoes in the house. This helps with noise for any guests that may be below you, protects the floors, keeps the home clean, and is a simple rule that helps everyone.

-Smoking is never allowed on any part of the property, courtyards, garages, or patios. Would you please leave the premises if you need to smoke? Savannah is beautiful to walk around.

- We cannot fix or refund any issue not brought to us as it occurs, not after your stay.

- Bath products are for use during your stay and are not to be taken.

Thank you in advance for complying with the house rules. I look forward to hosting you!

Beautiful Home!
The home was absolutely stunning! The interior design was superb. It had a southern Victorian feel but still with Savannah warmth. It was incredibly clean, neat and organized. Loved the no shoes rule as I implement that in my own home. The kitchen was fully stocked with any cooking tools you could ever need. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed and I can't wait to book my next stay here!

A great place to spend time and unwind
I was blown away by this experience. We were a group of nine and had plenty of space to rest and recharge in our own beds, but also to eat and gather together when we needed. The attention to detail in the decor was incredible. We were also pleasantly surprised by the Google Home products that we were able to connect to so easily to play music, and were even surprised by the Netflix already being logged into the home’s own account (I hate when I forget to log out at other Airbnb locations!) Lastly, The public goods products were so high quality and I like the commitment to reusable products. Don’t let the parking situation scare you off either, I was there for two weekend days and I had no issue parking within twenty yards of the space. I am trying to figure out another reason to spend a weekend in Savannah so I can stay here again!!

Birthday weekend
What a beautiful home. The pictures don’t do It justice. It is located in a quiet area of Savannah so there is no street noise. The home is a bit far from River Street but right around the corner is Forsyth Park. We had the best nights sleep on the most comfortable mattresses. The carriage house was so quaint with all the modern amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return one day soon.
