About this property

Pet Friendly Efficiency Near Beach

Freshly renovated in 2022, this first floor room has one king and single sleeper sofa and bathroom with a shower. Kitchen has a small refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig. Wireless internet and one color cable TV. Dog friendly with a $100 non refundable pet fee. The Continental Condominiums offers our guests 27 cozy, individually owned units that are managed as vacation rentals available for short-term as well as off-season monthly stays. Located on Sunset Beach and just across the street from the Atlantic Ocean allows for a simple walk to the Sunset Beach Pier for fishing, or just to spend the day on the area's finest beach strand. When you are done at the beach, enjoy our outdoor pool for a lap or two (mid-April through late-September based on the weather). You'll find a local market and shops next door to us. Wi-Fi available, On-site Shared Laundry Facility, and on-site grills for cooking that fresh caught fish. Non-smoking.

Golf carts are not permitted at the Continental Motel.

The door lock was an issue. Took multiple times before it unlocked. The stricker plate was missing so the dead bolt went into the wooden door frame. Not very secure at all. Thanks for the room.

Overall was okay. Was not worth the high amount that we paid (Labor Day weekend). Location is the best feature. The bed was very comfortable. Room overall pretty clean although there were a few things that were missed. Shower curtain should been changed out. Dirty washcloth from previous guest.was left hanging up in the room. Ceiling in the room needs work, especially over the sink. A lot of dirt build up in the corners of the room but the main floor was clean. Probably wouldn't stay there again unless it was a good deal.

Floors were really dirty. There were no dishes and few linens and supplies. There was no maid service. The location was great. Other than dirty floors, the unit was comfortable. There should have been more storage space.

Throw rugs would be nice to have in place around the bed itself. No matter how careful you are, the vinyl flooring traps sand and you carry it into the bed at night. We ended up using a hand towel to alleviate this issue. There was only two bath towels, it would have been nice to at least have a couple more. There were two types of pillows on the bed, both were poor quality (I wish I had brought my own). The bedspread needed washing. There were several stains on it and stains present on one of the pillow shams. One family dominated the entire pool area the whole time we were there. Next door guests smoked weed while they were in their room with the front screen door open, so it was wafting out in the front of the building. We booked on a fly so perhaps some of this could have been avoided with better planning on our part.
