Hi Linda, I apologize if you feel it was unfair that you paid more for your unit than other renters in the building. Each unit is privately owned, decorated differently, and modeled different. Our property did just go through an entire remodel last year, shortly before your arrival and our rental rate is still significantly below the average rate for others in the building. Most of the units in the building do not have screens in them on the higher floors as they do not get bugs that high, so the owners and visitors just open the doors without the screens. Had you contacted me at any time during your stay I could have let you know that it was no issue to open the door for a breeze. Regarding your maintenance issues....Again, had you contacted me then I would have been more than happy to have them addressed immediately. As I understand, you did contact the neighbor who had provided you the key and she was able to have someone look at the air conditioner (based on the outside vendors schedule). I apologize for the delay as we have to wait until they have availability for an appointment. No one was informed about any other issues you were having. In fact, I received no communication via phone, email or VRBO regarding any questions or issues at your unit aside from a response to an email I sent to you about a complaint against you from other guests in the building. In the future, please understand that most properties do not have someone immediately on site to personally view and recognize many of these issues, and rely on you to contact them if you need something addressed. Had that been done in this situation, then we would have been more than happy to have taken care of anything you were having a problem with. Unfortunately, you gave us no opportunity to show you why we have had nothing but great relationships and reviews from other guests in our unit.
