We booked this for a quiet peaceful weekend by the lake for our birthdays. The walk to the lake is not as close as it appears and once we arrrived to the lake (followed directions in welcome book) we were met with a rather large and new NO TRESPASSING sign. Bring mosquito repellent, there were swarms of mosquitos (only at the lake). I thought the lake was a natural lake and maybe it is but we were not expecting it to be part of the golf course. The house is beautiful and would be perfect for a larger group with plenty of sleeping space. Overall we had a beautiful and quiet stay. They do have a coffee maker, filters and Keurig- I thought I'd add that since I didnt see it listed anywhere when I was searching. The kitchen has everything you need to cook/bake- just bring food. They have a limited selection of spices- we did leave brand new salt and pepper as of 03/2026.Have fun!
Great instructions. Decently clean. Master bedroom lights would only dim to lowest setting not completely go out. Light outside of master wouldn’t shut off. Fishing reels were not able to be used. Pictures are a bit deceptive as you are surrounded and literally sharing property line with a driveway of another home when it looks like wide open in your picture. Beds are not comfortable and are extremely loud. TV remotes were very dirty and the TV’s are extremely slow.
The cabin was perfect for us. It is charming and in a nice area. We had plenty of room and we were very comfortable. It was great to come in from the chilly outdoors and build a fire in the wood stove. Very warm and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay!!
Delightful and peaceful extended weekend. All the things we needed, a bit of cool and rainy weather, with comfortable places to kick back and just chat.
Our family stayed here to enjoy some holiday time together. This location is about half way between where they live and I live. The cabin had everything we needed, plenty of cookware, utensils, dishes, blankets, towels, plenty of space too for all of us. The kids and adults enjoyed sledding and having snowball fights. It’s a great spot and had everything we needed. Good Wi-Fi to do I was able to do some work remotely as well.
Enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely with many neat artistic features. Everything worked fine. Slight surprise that it was not dlactually on the small lake. Gotta walk a few hundred feet past othrr homes. It is a few miles off the main highway so quiet, but surrounded by 100s of other newer homes in a suburban but treeful area.
I thought the listing showed the cabin had A/C. Due to the very warm summer, the cabin got a little warm in the late afternoon and early evening. A note over the thermostat, indicated no A/C available. Anyway, other than that, it was a very nice place to stay.
For starters, the home is beautiful and you can tell the owner prides themselves in caring for the property.
Something that I would look to improve as the owner is listing transparency considering the limited refund policy. With booking, you pay up front and then sign the contract. However, once you pay you are subject to a limited/zero refund before reviewing the extensive list of requests and limitations of the contract.
Things I learned after paying and being subject to limited/no refund:
-No Air Conditioning: although in owner’s defense it is not listed as an amenity, we live in AZ and are in a heat wave, this should be abundantly clear there is no AC. It was uncomfortably hot and some guests upstairs simply could not sleep all night despite windows open.
-You must provide a full guest list including names and ages
-The home sleeps 10, but 8 is the max before you are subject to an additional fee for 2 more guests
-Quiet hours at 9pm with no patio light
-24hr surveillance
-Limited parking (max 4 vehicles)
Thankfully, we were able to stay within these confines, however, this could be a big problem for some.
Unfortunately, the WiFi, a listed amenity, did not work for the duration of our stay and nobody had reliable service which was certainly disappointing.
Overall, I enjoyed the stay but would have very much appreciated more detail in your listing as opposed to a secondary contract after paying.

Thanks for your feedback Samuel. We are glad you enjoyed the beauty of the property. We do take pride in providing a beautiful place for our guests to experience. I’d like to address a few things…
The contract mentioned above is all the same rules that are listed under rules on Airbnb which you can see before booking a stay. Nothing new is added after the fact. As you mentioned, AC is not listed as an amenity so that is clearly able to be confirmed before booking a stay. Many homes up the area do not have AC so it’s pretty common for an older cabin. I’m so sorry this impacted your stay. It can sometimes get warm during those bad heat waves which occurred during your stay (sometimes in July),. Most of the year it is not a concern or problem for most guests.
I apologize the wifi was not working effectively during your stay. There were outages in the area that were out of our control. It is normally sufficient for all guests and works fine.
We do have 8 guests listed as the standard for nightly rent, since there are beds for 8. We do approve up to 10 on some occasions with an extra guest fee which is normal procedure for a vacation rental.
Parking, quiet hours and backyard light requests are all listed in our house rules which can be. checked before booking. We have 2 security cameras on the exterior of the property for safety purposes. This is also disclosed in the listing before booking.
We are good responsive owners that try to provide a wonderful place for our guests to escape.
Enjoyed the patio and afternoon rains. Great location for walking, hiking, shops, music in the park.
Comfortable. Guest bath a bit difficult to navigate its uniqueness for older adults.
Those were my 10 year old son's words to describe this trip. The cabin was exactly as advertised! The location was perfect, beautiful and serene. Plenty of peace and quiet, the rain and weather was amazing, the greenery was beautiful and the animals 😍 the cabin was super cozy, the games were awesome, never a dull moment. We absolutely loved our stay, words can't describe how amazingly restful and fun it was, will definitely be back!!
Thank you very much for the lovely stay. The house is absolutely beautiful!
We greatly enjoyed spending our honeymoon here. We’re also extremely grateful for the sweet and thoughtful gift that was left for us upon our arrival. The Chocolates were delicious! The care and attentiveness is evident within all of the small details found in the house. Also thank you Teesha and Blaine for being so helpful and attentive when we got locked outside 😂. We appreciated how nice you both were during that situation. We made some great memories during our stay!

The house was great and the location was perfect for what we needed. The property was beautiful and allowed us to spend plenty of time exploring and playing in the snow. The only complaint is the heating. We could not get it to stay set where we put it and this made for a very uncomfortable stay. It was in the 20’s and lower at night and despite setting the thermostat at 71 it kept reverting to low 60’s. We woke up one night at 4am to find it was 64 degrees and we were freezing. Another day we left to ski for the day and came back to a 59 degree house that took over two hours to warm up again. Whether it is a programmed by default, or some type of app that is controlled offsite, it needs to be changed so guests can set the temperature and rely upon it to stay where they set it. Other than that the stay was great.
We have stayed at multiple properties in Pinetop, and this has become our favorite! We loved all the beautiful upgrades, and its close proximity to Jackson Lake. We had so much fun walking around it watching and feeding the ducks. The basketball and air hockey games were another favorite; they were a blast for the whole family! We are definitely looking forward to the next time!
Lovely home in a quiet country club neighborhood. Close to a beautiful little lake. The kitchen supplies were somewhat neglected. Master bath needed a light bulb as the shower was very dark. Little stuff. Never did get the TV working. The master bedroom was very comfortable however. Very clean home.
The cabin is beautiful and peaceful. And at the same time close to many activities. We had fires every night in the cabin and during the day we went fishing, horseback riding and antique shopping.

Why they chose this property
There is something genuinely magical about our mountain cottage. Photos really won't do it justice, but the minute you pull up and see the green grass, the gardens, and the tall pines, you'll totally get it! It's different, in such a great way. From the creaking wooden steps up to the loft and the adorable bed underneath, to the exposed log beams up top; the one-of-a-kind bathroom with amazing wood features and deep jacuzzi tub, to the back deck being the perfect secluded spot to enjoy the mountain weather, this place is just plain specula! We have five kids, and there is something so neat about getting up and walking less than 30 seconds and being at the lake to go crawfish hunting or fishing. We really feel like you will fall in love when you come and stay with us at Lake View Lodge and most importantly, you'll want to come back over and over again!
