Apartments as described in listing. Nice location. check in process came with thorough directions and went smoothly. Beds were very comfortable! Slept great! Apartments are a bit older and dated.
Solid "no frills" place to stay. Listing is 100% accurate. This place is kind of bare bones. No hairdryer, a couple outlets didn't work, the TV in Suite A didn't work. Some insects in Suite A bathroom. The building is old, smelly, and a little run down. HOWEVER - it worked just fine for our 2 night stay in Waikiki. It was clean enough and served it's purpose. There's a view of the canal from windows. Yummy French-type breakfast restaurant in the building and lots of food trucks to choose from. It's only a 15 minute walk to the shops and Hard Rock Cafe. We were pleased with the stay.

Great value for the location
We stayed as a family of 6 (4 kids between the ages of 6 years to 13 years). It was easy to have our kids share one of the suites, but also maintain privacy. The kitchen(s) and bathroom(s) were quite basic, but provided all that was really needed. The rooms themselves are similar to how I might describe a dorm room (thin walls, DIY fixes), but the views are impressively beautiful. There was also beach chairs, a boogie board and other snorkel gear for us to use. It was nice to be close to the beach and Waikiki, though we actually drove to the North Shore more often (we rented a car- which I would recommend). You will need to pay for parking (but there is a garage on site). This was a central location and a great value for our experience. (Our time was primarily spent out of the room). The rooms are also air conditioned, which was a necessity. There are food trucks right across the street and a 7-11 as well. We did not end up using the pool/spa. If you are looking for luxury, this probably isn't it. But if you'd rather budget your time and money for experiences outside of the room where you sleep- this is a good option and the owner was kind and prompt in her communication.
36th floor apartment with partial view of the ocean
We rented both condominiums and it worked out well for us for 3 nights. The location is in the northwest corner of the Waikiki area near the canal. It is 2 minutes by car, 0.9 miles walk to the King Kamehamaha statue on Waikiki beach. The northwest corner of Waikiki was also very convenient for driving out of Waikiki to the airport and other locations on the island. One condo has 2 queen beds. The other has one queen bed. The kitchen is basic in the larger room and a little smaller in the other room but both have good sized refrigerators. The view from the smaller room was quite impressive. The mountains stood out above Honolulu, the other high rises looked nice during the day and night, you could see the ocean in the distance between high rises. The rooms are relatively small. Beyond the space taken by the beds, there was room for a chair and a little open space along the other wall and about 4-5 feet to the kitchen counter. The bathrooms were basic but everything worked well. Parking was very convenient in the building's multilevel parking garage which was accessible by the elevators. Security seemed fine - card keys were required for the elevators and the doors. Garage entry was monitored by an attendant. Overall, very convenient.
The room was clean and had everything I needed. I love having a kitchen in the room. The bed was very comfortable. I slept great. Good view and location. I could walk to the beach, restaurants, bars and convenience stores. I didn't swim in the pool but it looked nice. I will definately stay there again.

My wife and I love to travel and the best part of traveling is the people we meet. By acquiring a rental property in Waikiki, we are able to meet people with diverse backgrounds from different parts of the world.
Why they chose this property
This property is at the entrance of Waikiki and represents a gateway to the rest of Honolulu. Many attractions are within walking distance and there is bike, scooter and car rental nearby. We bought this place so we could spend time in Waikiki with all the visitors that come to our beautiful island.
What makes this property unique
This unit is budget friendly with the feel of higher end hotel rooms. View is magnificent with canal, city and mountain range view and peek of the ocean and waves between the buildings. Night time view is the best as the city lights up immensely.
