Can’t fault this place, really good value, clean, spacious, beautiful, close to everything and the hosts are superb. Kay really went out of her way to make us feel so welcome.
We will 100% be returning.
Thanks so much for kind review. Kay.
Great time with family
We had a wonderful time at Pine Tree House. Enjoying days having breakfast and playing games at the large kitchen table. Kay is gem. She was so accommodating to our large group of 9. Kay made us feel as if we have known her for years. I would definitely return again and stay at the Pine Tree House, you are an hour to an hour 1/2 away from all the wonderful places Ireland is has to offer. Thanks again Kay for everything. Regards Kelly.
Kelly. Thank you so much for kind review. Kay
Great accommodations in peaceful, non-touristy setting, which was what we were interested in. Conveniently located to short drives to Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula, Beara Peninsula. The Tarbert Ferry makes for much shorter trips to West Ireland (Galway, The Burren, Cliffs of Moher and northern WAW routes, to name a few). Our hosts Kay and Eddie could not have been more engaging and helpful, from sight seeing locations to restaurant, shopping and genealogical recommendations.
The property has all the amenities needed for a comfortable vacation. We were there for a month and the on-site washer and dryer was very helpful. Although there was just the two of us, there were two other bedrooms and bathrooms on the 2nd floor which would be very comfortable for an additional 4 persons. Highly recommended for your Ireland holiday in a convenient, central location.
Dearest Maggie and Dave. Thank you for such a lovely review. We were so enriched to have met ye both and priviledged to have ye stay in our Pine Tree House in Tarbert to research The Leahy ancestors. We wish ye well with tracing your family tree. So until we meet again when ye come back home ,god bless and good health together. Kind regards. Kay.
I traveled to Ireland over Spring break in April with my husband and 2 children. We were apart of a much larger group- my parents, sister and brother and their families- this property was perfect for our family meals. The house was very clean and well kept with beautiful wood floors and comfortable beds. The owners, Kay and her husband couldn’t have been more hospitable. I texted Kay when we arrived to ask her how to work the heat, TV and showers- within 10 minutes her son was knocking at the door ready to show us around. There were 15 of us total in our group and we hosted Easter brunch without a problem- plenty of room for us all. My kids and niece loved the detached game room. It was a 5 Star experience and I highly recommend if you’re looking for a place a stay- this is it!
Anna. Ye were our dream guests too. Wonderful to have ye and hope this will b the begining of many more happy reunions in Tarbert.Kerry. Kind regards.Kay and Eddie o Connor and family at cross of wood.
Cozy Home Away from Home
My 89 year old mom, and my sister and I spent a week at Pine Tree House. Kay and her family made us feel very welcome and comfortable there and gave us great tips on where to get groceries and some of the local sites. Although the weather was cool and damp the house was very cozy and warm. We loved all having our own bedroom and bath. When we weren't day tripping we spent most of our time together at the house in the huge kitchen and cooked dinner there almost every night. The house is very well stocked with dishes and cookware.
This would be a great place to stay with kids as there is a game room which is separate from the rest of the house and a large yard. There is also plenty of seating in the house itself for large family dinners!
Thank you to Kay, Edward and Michael for sharing Pine Tree House with us!
Hi Julie. Thank you for your kind review. We were honoured to have such lovely guests like ye stay at Pine Tree House. It would b our pleasure to have ye back some time. We could even keep Mum for longer stay next time. She was so wonderful to do all that travelling. Good health to all of ye until we meet again. Kind regards. Kay.
