Classic beach cottage with panoramic ocean views of Cuttyhunk & Buzzards Bay. Smell the salt air and listen to the waves hit the rocks and the birds singing!
The first floor features a vaulted ceiling with kitchen, dining and living, bedroom, cozy den and half bath. The second floor loft area offers 2 twin beds. A separate guest cottage has a double bed and a full bath. An ocean view deck and large outdoor shower, gas grill, fire pit and hammock complete the lovely yard. This cottage abuts wetlands and is across the street from Westport's East Beach or the Audubon Society's Allen's Pond Wildlife Sanctuary with miles of trails along the beach, salt marsh, and coastal environment. Westport offers many venues to explore: beaches, rivers for kayaking, bike paths by the ocean, wineries and restaurants. Best of all it is a little over an hour from Boston with no Cape traffic!

The property was in great condition, ready for our arrival & the hostess was very responsive to all our questions. Our entire time went flawlessly. Location was excellent. We would definitely return.
This cottage fit my descirption of the perfect beach getawy. The view was beautiful and the location was ideal- close to fishing, SUP/kayaking, walking, biking and swimming. Our family had a relaxing time just enjoying all the thngs we love to do at the beach. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The host was extremly attentive and welcomed us with a few goodies. There is really nothing we would have changed. It was exactly what we wanted.
So many great things to say about this place! The beachfront is just a few minutes walk from the cottage; you fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the surf. And the nearby Allen's Pond Wildlife Sanctuary offers miles of beautiful wooded and beach trails for walking/running. Of course, the immensely popular Horseneck Beach Reservation is also nearby - an easy 1+ mile bike ride (on bike path) or drive to the staffed lot. Cindy, our host, leaves a generous basket of treats, and is very welcoming and responsive. We wished we had brought more friends - the extra bedroom nextdoor is adorable!
We hope to come back.

Liz,
Thanks for taking the time to write a lovely review! We really appreciate it and hope you come back and stay again….. maybe with your kids next time!
I enjoyed chatting!
Best,
Cindy
The views from the cottage were incredible and we woke up to the sound of waves each morning. Our party consisted of 2 couples so the two houses worked out perfectly! Both were clean and spacious. Even the smaller house felt open and airy. There were plenty of towels and blankets. My husband enjoyed the outdoor shower!
In addition to the wonderful home, Cindy was one incredible host! She had beverages and snacks for us so we did not have to worry about rushing to the grocery store upon arrival. Cindy even called to check in on us our first night to make sure everything went smoothly.
We have already discussed plans to come back and stay at Cindy’s cottage again next summer!

Thanks, Melissa! It was a pleasure hosting you. btw: Next year I promise to leave you the book on New Bedford whaling for your nighttime reading:)
My family and I had a perfect week at Cindy's house. We enjoyed ocean views from the house and deck as well as stunning views of the Audubon preserve across the street. Sea breezes constantly blew through the house and kept it cool and conmfortable. The house itself is brighter and airier than the pictures indicate. The beach is a 3-minute walk away and the house is surrounded by miles and miles of country roads that are ideal for biking, running and walking. Cindy and her husband are great people and we enjoyed meeting them both.
