Gorgeous 200 year old stone house right on the lake in a quaint medieval village. The house is three storey. Kitchen, pantry, living area and bathroom/laundry on the ground floor. Two bedrooms, full bathroom and study on the second floor and fantastic self contained area including kitchenette, bathroom, bedroom and living area on the attic leve. There are amazing views of the lake from almost every room. Step outside and throw a line in the lake where there is excellent fishing. Hire a catamaran or pedelo. There are plenty of water activities available in summer. Everything you need is in the village, two boulangeries, boucher, supermarche and four restaurants. Twenty minutes to the city of Dinan with its gorgeous architecture, easy drive to beaches and Saint Malo. Water sports on the lake, heated pool and tennis court in the village, the house is cool in summer and in winter, the house is warm and snug. All three levels of the house have been completely restored with modern kitchen and bathrooms. The house is filled with high quality furniture, bed linens and everything you need for a wonderful relaxing holiday. The lake house is absolutely charming, it exceeded expectations and is better than in photos. It is also more spacious than we had imagined and the internal courtyard is pictured postcard stuff. The village is also very quaint and the House is a short hop from the main square. The lake offers water sports and we also visited a wake park nearby. All in all Jugon les Lacs is strategically well positioned for visiting the coast and local attractions, Dinan above all. Our only criticism would be of the eating opportunities in the village, not always open and not great food. Our thanks to Jayne, who left all the instructions we needed and suggestions as to how best to enjoy our stay.

Monty and I live in Sydney, Australia. We fell in love with rural France in 2009 when we did a house swap. After that we were determined to own a house in France and in 2010 we found the Lake House. We live in Australia but get over to Brittany twice a year.
