Perfect getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at Let’s Flamingle, and are already looking into returning with our children. The hosts were very communicative, the property was secure (two locked doors; one to property courtyard and one to the actual room) and clean, and the location is excellent too.

Do not stay here

The bedding was dirty! The lights from the brewery next door shine in the place all night long. It looks like day time all night long. The place backs up to a super busy highway, the noise from that makes it impossible to sleep. We booked five nights and only stayed one night. It is that bad!

Denice Please read the listing. It says you are the closest unit to the brewery so please don’t be upset that you were the closest to the brewery. You were there during the week and they close at 10pm You were also informed that the comforter had a black mark on it from being damaged from the laundry machine rubber and while clean it had a mark. You were also informed that a new one was being delivered the next day. We have never had an issue with light. The blinds block most of the light. The guest before you and after you gave us 5 stares.

My sister in law and I stayed for 2 nights at this property and it was awesome! It was in a great location! The brewery next door was such a plus! The property had a nice outside atmosphere and the place itself was super clean! Will definitely look into staying here again!

Very noisy

The location is in a somewhat sketchy neighborhood. The bedroom backs up to the main road with a lot of traffic noise. The listing did not mention that there was no cable tv, and the size of the bed, we found out a day prior to checking in when we received the check in instructions. My husband and I are both over 6 ft tall and were not comfortable in a double size bed. The AC unit starting beeping in the middle of the night and there was nothing we could do to stop it so we did not sleep at all the 2nd night. We then decided to check out a day early and go back home and I was not able to reach anyone to let them know of our issues. I sent a message and received an answer the next day.

Hi Louise We are obviously not happy that you did not have a 5 star experience. I am not sure what you mean as a sketchy neighborhood. I don't think St Pete beach would be vote number 1 in the country if the neighborhood was sketchy. We are surrounded by residential homes and great restaurants across the street and the neighbor Brewery is always a great attraction for our guests. We have never had any incidents that would cause someone to have these thoughts. The size of the bed is listed in the listing as it is a requirement of VRBO to have the size listed in there. We have queen beds in all our apartments and I apologize if you missed this in the listing while booking. We also mentioned in the listing that this unit is next to the parking lot and the brewery and may have some noise. I apologize if you missed this in the listing. We try and be upfront with everything to set our guests expectations. We did respond to you about the claim of the ac beeping and did mention that the units had just been serviced the week before and would reach out o the company. Upon your departure found it was a setting that had been altered on the system by a guest. So I am not sure why you felt you were not responded to.

We enjoyed our stay and the place was decorated so cute! Close to restaurants and a brewery. The only complaint we have is that the bed was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable.

Hi Christina. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately mattresses are a personal preference ( that's why mattress shops have about 15 choices)so we go with a medium mattress. We have guests tell us it was the most comfortable mattress they have ever slept on. We unfortunately have no idea what your preference would be.

Comfortable and so close to beaches!

This was a great place to stay for a few days, it has everything you need for a quick trip to the beach. Everything we wanted to do or see was only a short drive from us, and the apartment was too cute!!

Great getaway

Entire experience was wonderful. Location right next to a brewery and across from two Italian restaurants so eating and drinking out were easy. Kitchen well equipped for the breakfast we did make on site. Bikes, beach chairs and towels had us over the top, felt like home!

Nice area/location for having a night out. If you're planning on everything being quiet, just be aware that there is a brewery less than 20ft away. That's one of the resons we chose this place, so we didn't mind! Once the brewery closed however, things were pretty quiet, just occasional road noises. Place was clean and perfect for our short weekend trip. Close to downtown

Horrible Check in

Check in was not smooth and It was hard to get in touch with the owner during check in and eventually he advised me he was on vacation and I was not supposed to contact him via that number, which BTW is the number on VRBO. It was the worst check in I’ve had with Homeaway/ VRBO. With that said, I will say the property was largely clean, except the floors (socks were filthy upon walking on the floors), cute property and looks exactly like the online pictures, bed was a bit hard for my taste. The bikes are in good shape and one was brand new, enjoyed using the bikes to get around. check out instructions in the book at the property are inaccurate regarding, putting bedding/linen in the laundry and starting the load as there is no laundry at least not opened for vacation renters but there is a coin op laundry across the road if you want to use for personal laundry. I would not recommend to friends primarily based on the check in experience.

Thanks Vivien Unfortunately the batteries in the lock were low and there is a number for the maintenance man if there is a problem with check in. This number was not contacted and had that been used, your check in process would have gone a lot smoother as there is a back up key on site in the event of this happening. Your delay would have only been a few minutes had you contacted the correct number. My apologies this did not meet your expectations.

Flamingle

Very cute space. Fun decor! The outside area where the trash is disposed of needs to be cleaned up. Owner might mention in the write up that the Brewery across from this property plays thumping music all day and into the night! The music can be heard from inside and out of this unit. Loved the close proximity to the beach. Walked there each day! Great bakery within walking distance. It would have been nice to have a rug in the bedroom and sharper paring knives. All in all, fun stay on Sand Key!
