About this property

Ancient farmhouse from Valpolicella dated from 1812

Ancient farmhouse in stone of three floors perched on the hill; it offers a wonderful view over the valley. On the ground floor, you will find different environments: the old barn, transformed into a wide porch and heated by a mighty chimney, the kitchen which is equipped with white goods and dishwasher, the dining room for 8 people, and the two living rooms with satellite TV and a small library, all with chimneys. On the first floor you will find the bedrooms, all with a view over the valley. They can accommodate up to seven people. The bedrooms come in different styles: one large bedroom with a king bed, that with previous notification can accommodate a small bed for children, double bedroom with single beds and a chimney, another double bedroom. All of them have exposed beams. Lastly, a refined single bedroom with a wallpaper from the era. Two recently restored vintage bathrooms that offer wide showers; the building concludes with one laundry room. On the outside there is a garden equipped with tables and small beds, and also there are wide green spaces that are part of the farm.

Heaven in the Valpolicelle region of Italy
Campolongo, in the heart of Italian wine country, is heaven on earth. This 4+ bedroom farmhouse is charming and comfortable beyond belief. Close to the historic city of Verona, it offers a perfect home base for exploring the richness of northern Italy. This was our second stay at Campolongo, and it won’t be our last. Grazie Stefano!

Traumhafter Kurzurlaub

Great place to explore Valpolicella
Right in the heart of Valpolicella. There were wineries everywhere, lots of name we knew and even more we didn’t. We found it well equipped with updated bathrooms and lots of hot water. Being from the 1800s the building still had lots of character that you just can’t get in new buildings. The kitchen was small but we had no problem making some great meals during our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed and the fridge was a good size. There’s no store in the little village so you should take some groceries when you go. The beds were comfy and we got great sleep while there. The views were spectacular. The hot tub was a nice touch after driving all day. Verona was 1/2 hr away Lake Garda was a bit further. The approach to the villa was a bit tight but we made it with our suv you just have to go slow in a couple of spots. I would go back again in a heartbeat.

Mehr schlecht als recht
Moderner Gasofen ?

We represent the third generation of our old family that has always lived at Verona. Our family ancestors include various local artists, painters and colloquial poets. We are two professionals passionate for travelling, nature, and the beauties that surround us; The Valpolicella, the Garda Lake, the dolomites and our Verona, a UNESCO patrimony. We dedicate part of our free time to whoever wants to visit these places.

Why they chose this property

My family has been dedicated to this house from three generations ago. My grandfather; reaching the end of his working career, had made this his summer residence, restoring it completely.
In the eighties, my parents continued the family tradition by making further improvements. A few years ago the third generation completed the restoration. The house has always been opened to our friends for dinners and tours in the farmland, moreover in the season when cherries are harvested in our orchard. Our idea to offer our house for your vacation is born precisely from this innate inclination towards hospitality.

What makes this property unique

We have spent our childhood in this house and love every single detail. Our house is a true residence typical of the area, restored by respecting the local traditions and using materials from the place. In the entrance near the iron bell, there is an engraving that reminds us of year 1812. All the environments have exposed beams and old wooden floors. The old barn is now a fresh environment with a collection of old tools of the peasants tradition. Underneath the house there is a typycal cellar carved within the stone. On the outside a wide garden offers a colourful view depending on the season.
