Cabin Sweet Cabin is a relaxing and conveniently located lakefront property located about one hour northwest of Green Bay near Tilleda in Shawano County Wisconsin. Main cottage is a two bed, one bath recently remodeled cabin with a view of very quiet and peaceful 30 acre lake. Secondary building has a third bedroom a small game room and a hot tub room with view of the lake.
Opportunities for sailing, kayaking, swimming, fishing, hiking, biking, skiing, antiquing, and snowmobiling exist in the area. There is a casino nearby and Lambeau Field home of the Green Bay Packers is about a 45 minute drive.

A dock and boats (canoe, paddle boat, row boat, kayak) provide water recreation and a campfire ring is located near the water. State Natural Area Jung Hemock Forest is a 10 minute drive and Rib Mountain downhill ski resort is a 40 minute drive.

Privacy!!! Privacy!!! Loved the ability to get away! The large pond/lake did not have a boat Lauch...doesn't allow motorized or electric...however, we brought a family of kayaks and the kayaking was Amazing!!! A Family Memory!!! This is NOT a HILTON! This is a property in progress. Our family had a wonderful time. A plus is a campground and a store across road. Convenient! Kids loved Perfect Hot tub... but no air conditioning in the at extra bedroom...fan provided, Main home very clean. Thanks for DVDS provided. Used the lovely back deck often.

The low reviews have it! The cabin in Shawano is not unusable, but is also not clean or in good repair either. During our stay most boats and boating items are in disrepair or need serious cleaning. The main Cabin is better than tent camping but also not well maintained, walls inbathroom and bathroom in general in pretty bad shape. Shower leaks and water issues (leak/only burning hot water) not repaired as mentioned in other reviews. Extra room in the sepatate building not attached I would not use, cobwebs attached to beds and junk piled in the corner of the space. The views of lake are overgrown with trees and weeds as well as some of the walkways. We did not even attempt to go in hot tub. "Game room" is a table room - bring your own games.Mainly the description does not match the actual state of the cabin at this time but probably when first acquired. If you trust the good reviews like we did you will be unimpressed. If you are just looking for a place to sleep and dont mind a little older place that is not super clean and just want 4 walls and a roof this will work. We feel like the listing doesn't offer what the pictures and description show we included expectation VS Reality pictures, we would not recommend!

Upon entering the cabin, the nauseating smell of mold was unbearable. The beds were not in condition to sleep. The windows could not be opened. The furniture was in very bad condition. There was only a small air conditioner which only cooled down a small area in the living room. The towels were old and smelled awful like the cabin. The third bedroom was in a different building where the hot tub was, without air conditioning, the thermometer on the wall in that room read that it was a 80 degrees inside. This second building is in very bad condition. The ceiling was falling apart. The beds had spiderwebs on them. It's not a place for a family to enjoy. We rented for 5 days, we stayed 3 hours because it was the time we were on the phone with the VRBO representative. If you decide to take a risk and rent it and regret it later, do not contact the host, talk directly to VRBO because if you do not make the claim before 24 hours you lose all chance of recovering part of the money.Really I don’t know from where those 10/10 reviews. All the descriptions of the cabin are OFF. This cabin doesn’t deserve not even a single star. Do not trust this listing.

Nice cabin and property

It's a very nice place. The lake and provided boats are a fun way to spend your days. Did a little fishing and the dog loved swimming. I do have to mention county road D is adjacent to the front of the yard. It seems to be a well used logging route and not safe for kids or animals. Keep your dog on a lead at all times.

Fun!

The property location was great, all amenities as listed. Shower was not useable as we could not get anything but scalding hot water in the shower. Could use a bit better cleaning/dusting.

Thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed your stay. As mentioned, a plumber was not able to arrive and adjust the water heater until the day after your request (your departure day) since this is a rural area. The water temperature is now adjustable and working fine according to our guests over the past two weeks. Also, we have hired a new cleaning service with an employee nearby and they do fantastic work. Thanks again for being our guest!

The cabin has a lot of problems. The slidingvpatio door bearly works , bottom of door is full of dead bugs , owner left pills on top of fridge, the shower leaked from underneath, the bed was small had 2 box springs so it was way too bouncy. Seemed like the owner had just thrown this together that day. There were dead bugs on floors wasps flying around, animal pee on bedroom floor. The hot tub is in a separate building you have to walk outside to access it. The rarea is very dirty , spider webs , looked like the ceiling tiles are getting ready to fall the light over the hot tub is full of bugs n maybe mold. We got in hot tub then realized there were thousand s of dead bugs in the tub. Scooped out handfulls. The patio door by hot tub was unusable n the bottom looked like black mold. The cover for the hot tub is probably 150 pounds. Dont plan on putting it on alone. The dock pier was dilapitated half sunk. The watercraft that we could use looked like it hadn't benn touched in years I dont think anybody would want to use it. After getting home we both got very sick to our stomachs and bad diarrhea. Pretty sure we got e coli from the hot tub.

TILEDA FALLS CABIN

This is not a luxury stay, it is a cabin with access to Tileda Pond and some of the watercraft to get out on it, while having a place to sleep and make meals if you choose to. The indoor hot tub in the outbuilding is nice to use when the weather outside does not cooperate with being on the water! When we travelled a lot, the quality of a shower was important and good water pressure and plenty of hot water is available here. The beds are small for two, but the pillows are comfortable. If you happen to own stand up paddle boards, bring them along, the dock can be used to launch them. Given the close road access, and some of the bedrooms being in the outbuilding, it may not be suitable for young children, but it is fine for adults.

Host was nice but property only gets checked once a week so if u book for that day they do go sooner so if there’s a problem you don’t know until you want to check in. We had to wait 3 hrs due to an issue they didn’t check on. The hot tub was dirty and the water is very strong mineral wise so we got a rash. The beds are very old and it wasn’t very clean. It worked for what we needed but it was hard to relax after a long night so we just ate and went to bed.

The cabin is in dilapidated condition. Carpets are filthy. Walls are rotten with holes in them. Dock unusable. Landscaping and front entrance very unkept. Beds are horrible and rickety. Linens are old enough to vote. Strong smell of mold/mildew. Kitchen was clean but scarcely stocked with dishes, pans, cups, utensils. If you just need a bed to sleep in and 4 somewhat sturdy walls, this place is adequate. Definitely not vrbo worthy or anywhere worth the price.

The property is unkempt and in need of serious repairs. The shower and toilet were badly stained with water-damaged walls and debris on the floor. It advertises three bedrooms, but one of the bedrooms is in a detached shed with no plumbing or ventilation. The back porch seemed unsafe and the front porch was under construction with rotted eaves and exposed electrical. Access to lake was poor and recreational equipment was in poor shape. I really feel like I was duped with renting this property.

Couples weekend away

My husband and I were looking for a secluded place on water with canoeing, fishing and walking distance to a bar/restaurant. This was perfect! The water was not for swimming but the cabin came stocked with a kayak, canoe, row boat and a paddle boat. The main house was perfect for what we needed - bed to sleep, deck to sit on with our coffee and fully stocked with kitchen, bedding needs. We did not spend much time in the 2nd house (green building) because we didn’t need the space. We did use the hot tub once and it was clean to use. The rest of the green building could use a thorough cleaning, it looks as if it isn’t used much. We were about a 15 min drive to Shawano and spent a lot of time exploring everything it had to offer, including a new favorite supper club, Kassidys Studio Lounge. We also took the 10min (or less) walk to Wright Place Bar and Grill to have some drinks and good food. Our host was very helpful, quick and thorough communication before and during our stay.

Stay away!!!

Do not bring your family here! Stay far far away from this property, the bad reviews are 110% spot on! owner says he has a cleaning crew but as you can tell immediately upon arrival there is not much cleaning going on. Down right nasty, lipstick marks/finger prints on the windows, 100s of dead flys in the door/window jams. Dirt/dust on everything. the place is falling apart, shower head held on by duct tape, roof leaking making the drywall peel by front door, back deck is rotting away you can put your finger through the frame. The “secondary building” is in even worse shape! Coming from a short term rental owner this place gives us short-tern rentals a bad name! Needs to be pulled off VRBO!

BEWARE!!! All bad reviews are true! Pictures are a huge misrepresentation of what this cabin is! The cabin is falling apart & the lake is over grown & can barely be accessed. The dock is falling into the water. There are boats but you can’t get to them & they look unsafe.During our stay there was a HORRIBLE smell. After 24 hours the host sent someone to investigate & they found a dead animal under the cabin. We continued to have to smell it our entire stay. I asked for reimbursement for the night we had to spend with the dead animal & the host denied.When we arrived, the a/c wasn’t on & it was 90 degrees outside causing the cabin to be a disgusting smelling hot box.The bathroom wall was disgusting & falling apart as well as the front entrance roofing. We didn’t use the shower bc it was gross & I felt I would get dirtier getting in it.There were carpenter ants all over & critters scattering when I opened the cupboards.There is a small tv with a dvd player & old dvds. The volume had to be maxed in order to hear it over the window a/c that had to be on full blast.The mattress was 3 mattresses stacked on top of each other. The pillows had stains. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had.

The place was somewhat clean but the house is very old and needs a lot of repairs! Kitchen sink faucet was very loose corner in entry way looks like water damage and bathroom wall is falling apart! DO NOT RENTDidn’t get check in details until after driving two hours to get there and waiting until 9:52 at night (check-in was at 3pm 7 hours earlier) literally had to guess where it was because I didn’t get sent an address. EWalked in to a disgusting smell coming from moldy dishes in the sink. Literally couldn’t even walk through the house and had to leave and get a hotel room. Had to use the bathroom and took a quick peak in and it was absolutely disgusting.Dirty laundry/towels hanging off of front porch.Large bugs allll over the second building floor leading to hot tub, which was left with doors open to the outside. Would not let me kids/family sleep here
