Livin' the Dream and Poolside Paradise were outstanding homes to rent, relax and enjoy a quiet week at the beach.

These rentals were absolutely beautiful, great access to the beach and accommodated by family of 12. The amenities were new and well taken care of. The location was perfect for a fun week. The homeowners were very easy to communicate with and sent daily available activities for the family to participate. I recommend this rental to anyone looking for a beautiful, safe and enjoyable vacation along the gulf coast.

The hosts have thought of everything to make the arrival, stay and departure easy. The house is beautiful and very well stocked with everything you need for an enjoyable beach vacation. Amenities are up to date and the house is impeccably maintained.

Fabulous Family Beach Home

“Livin the Dream” is a beautiful home which offers all the comforts & extras for our family gathering. Its location provides convenient accessibility to the beautiful Carillon beach. The secluded pool was a fun retreat after a fun day at the beach, especially for our 7 grandchildren. We highly recommend this gorgeous place!

Amazing location, house and owners

We stay at Carillon every year and this property was a great location (very close to walk over to the beach). The house was great and we had everything we needed for cooking! The pool was great for after we came back from the beach. The owners were very attentive to make sure we enjoyed our stay. It was an amazing week!

Simply the best!

Our family of 10 has just returned home from Carillon Beach and our stay at Livin’ the Dream - we have already rebooked for next year and can’t wait to go back! The home is gorgeous and was the perfect size for our family! Melody was so helpful and kind throughout our stay and we feel so lucky that we had an opportunity to enjoy this beautiful home with all of our family! Our favorite memories were our evenings spent on the front porch! Counting down the days for our next stay!

Spectacular property - great indoor and outdoor space

This is a gem of a property and in a quieter community than Rosemary or Alys Beach - just steps off the gulf, so you don’t have to deal with the wind. The private pool and hot tub are fantastic - we had no need to use any of the community pool areas. The property is as good (maybe better) than the pictures on VRBO and is immaculate, well stocked, and overall a great vibe. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which was great for our multigenerational family. We mostly used the pool house as a breakfast area for those up early and beverage center for the night owls. Nice seating area in the dining room to accommodate everyone - and great front porch for lunches or lounging. BEST vacation rental we have stayed in - almost don’t want to tell others about it, it is that great. We will be back!

An Unforgettable Stay at Livin’ the Dream

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Livin' The Dream beach house at Carillon Beach for the 2nd time, and it was truly a dream come true for our family of 10. The house was not only clean but also well equipped to cater to all our needs during our beach vacation. Our stay was hassle-free and allowed us to focus on creating lasting memories with our loved ones. Melody is a fantastic and attentive host. We recommend renting a golf cart to explore the Carillon Beach Community - our "night rides" were a highlight for the kids each night and it was so fun to get ice cream each night at the Little Beach Cafe. We were lucky enough to be there during the 4th of July parade and summer concert series, which added an extra layer of excitement to our stay. It was a fantastic way to celebrate the holiday and create lasting memories with our family. We highly recommend this beach house to anyone seeking a remarkable vacation experience.

Another Wonderful Carillon Beach Trip

This house worked great for our family of 11 with 3 tag along teens. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking any meal including a very nice gas grill by the pool. The younger boys enjoy riding their bikes around the neighborhood while the older boys love the basketball court. I personally enjoy the quite early morning walks around the gated property to start my day. The beach is not crowded with plenty of room for beach games. After a day on the wonderful beach which is just a short walk from the house the pool was a great way to finish off the day. Melody was very easy to work with and responded quickly to any question or need we had on our stay. We have been going to Florida beaches for 25 + years and this is one of the best houses yet with everything you will need to have a great week at the beach.

Our family ❤️‘d “Living the Dream”

What a wonderful week the Justice/Rogers family had at the beautiful “Living the Dream” in Carillon Beach. We could not have picked a better place for our family’s special events: daughter and son-in-law celebrating upcoming addition to our family (baby boy in January) and Dad celebrating his 85th birthday. The house and associated carriage house were perfect for our extended family, and were beautifully and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was better stocked than mine at home! An espresso maker, milk frother and electric tea kettle with a vast array of supplied teas are just one example of how the Dunn family has outfitted this exceptional property. And all this just steps away from one if he most beautiful beaches in the world! The pool, spa and large, immaculate gas grill were also well used and much appreciated. Melody was wonderful to work with and very responsive if we had questions. Thank you for sharing this amazing beach home!

We were so happy this worked out for your last minute family celebration trip for your dad's 85 birthday! We designed the house specifically for the needs of families and extended families. Because most of our neighbors are residents and the neighborhood is gated, our quiet street is a great place for families with children. I'm so glad you enjoyed the kitchen. We love to cook and have tried to include everything needed for gourmet meals. We found most families enjoy meals at the house during the pandemic. It's also easier than getting reservations for large crowds. So glad you got to enjoy the pool and hot tub after days at the beach and the natural gas grill for easy dinners. It was a joy having you all and we look forward to your return.

We will be back!

We have been renting vacation properties for over 25 years, and Living the Dream has definitely been our favorite rental! Melody is an absolute dream to work with! She was wonderful with communication, and it was obvious she wanted us to have a great time! The home has everything you could possibly need… every small appliance to beautiful linens/towels and plenty of rolled beach towels! Melody and Randy’s home is beautifully decorated. It’s even prettier in person than the online pictures. It sits on a quiet street in Carillon and is so close to the beach walkover. This is the first time we have not stayed beachfront, and I have to say we didn’t miss it at all! The kids loved playing in the ocean as well as the pool at the house. The hot tub was a nice addition as well. The pool house is adorable and well-furnished, too! Our son had the place to himself and thoroughly enjoyed the extra privacy! Thank you Melody and Randy for sharing your beautiful home! We felt right at home and plan to be back again!!

All Encompassing Luxury *even during quarantine

I have so many wonderful things to say about this luxury vacation rental the VRBO text box application truncated my message. The full review can be read on Facebook Livin' the Dream & below is my somewhat smaller version of the review. We highly recommend renting this luxury vacation home. Everything related to this property was IMPECCABLE! Beginning with responding quickly to my inquiries through the VRBO website to giving us state & local updates during the Coronavirus Pandemic via text & email, Melody & Randy Dunn were responsible, dependable conscientious, empathetic & thorough owners. Our family & friends never had to guess when payments were due or changes were being made within the city or neighborhood gated community. I received regular emails and texts from the owners regarding mandates by the city from reliable sources as we arrived before the surge in illness in the U.S.. I felt cared for and safe. If you want pampering & luxury with safety & cleanliness, this is the place for you! Property Description: This property appears exactly as listed on the vrbo website if not better. You must see the amazing photos they provide. No furniture, soft goods, decoratives or greenery have been changed & it is luxuriously decorated (seems a professionally trained interior school of design graduate put their stamp on this property). No appliance or piece of furniture has gone overlooked & the carriage house as well as outdoor living spaces were no different. Outdoor space looks like a Frontgate or Restoration Hardware catalog page. Cleanliness: When opening the front floor to ceiling French doors I noticed all glass, mirrors, acrylic, quartz & marble surfaces were so clean they reflected & gleamed light off surfaces. Our family & friends visited during the initial time of the COVID-19 pandemic. Melody made certain the house had no one in it prior to our arrival, we had bleach laced dish soap & counter spray, we had hand soap, sponges, 2 paper towel rolls & toilet paper with a back up in each bathroom. She also had a starter supply of dish & laundry soap. At no time did we feel unsafe or germ-y. We had such a safe and wonderful time we extended our stay. These owners treat you the way they would treat their own family. Without any hesitation, our group fully recommends renting this vacation home. Livin the Dream is a perfect name for it.

Perfect House!

We absolutely LOVED Livin’ the Dream & Poolside Paradise. We had 6 adults and 6 children (8 -3) and there was more than enough room for us all. They provided everything you could imagine you would ever need from plates to baking trays, pots and pans, utensils, espresso maker, beach towels, etc. Beds and linens were very comfortable and furniture was beautiful, but kid friendly! We loved playing games with the kids on the front porch and the pool was the perfect size for our crew. House is just a few houses down from beach access and close to neighborhood pool and town where we enjoyed coffee, pizza, cocktails and icecream. The kids loved daily golf cart rides, basketball court and fishing in the pond. Owners were receptive to every request and quick to respond. Would absolutely recommend staying here!

Livin’ the Dream is DREAMY!

Livin’ the Dream and Poolside Paradise were both an absolute winner for our family! From the clear communication by Melody, to the immaculate properties and amneties, we truly were able to enjoy our family vacation! Our little 9 month old even had his own “crib room” off of our master bedroom-couldn’t have asked for a better setup. The location of the home is just a short walk from everything: beach, community pools/tennis courts, and town center where you can get coffee, breakfast, lunch, or shop at the general store. Additionally, the pool at the house was beautiful and so clean. The kids swam and swam every day! Added bonus was that the pool is mostly shaded the majority of the day. We hope to return to this property in the near future! Thank you!

Beach, Pool, and Fully Equipped House!

My family had a great week at Livin' the Dream, especially my granddaughters (all 7 and under)! Between the main and carriage house, we had more than enough room and bed options for 5 adults and 4 young girls. The house was very kid-safe and kid-friendly, with lots of beach toys, high chairs, crib, etc, and special door locks and alarms to prevent unintended access to the pool. The furnishings were beautiful and functional, with lots of high quality TV/video screens, about every type of coffee maker you could imagine, and tons of cooking and barware equipment. We especially appreciated the standalone ice machine and refrigerator space. The walk to the beach was easier and quicker than we expected and having the beach chairs and umbrellas already set up for us was great. We enjoyed morning coffee on the comfortable and quiet front porch and afternoons around the shaded pool area! Melody and Randy were great hosts and very responsive to the questions we had before and during our stay. This was our third year staying in Carillon Beach and we'll definitely be back again!

Fantastic, multi area property.

Fantastic house with very responsive hosts. The pool is great, easy walk to the uncrowded beach. The neighborhood is extremely safe. Using both houses on this property allowed some space for quiet or work, napping or loud game playing. We would love to return again.

Exceptional property

This was a once in a lifetime trip for me and my family to spend a week together that would otherwise be impossible. Family came from NY, Missouri, Alabama and Georgia to the most beautiful beach in the world. The house was large enough to accommodate the crowd of 13 in absolute luxury. From the well equipped kitchen (and I do mean well equipped with coffee makers, griddles, instapot and the list goes on) to the comfortable beds there wasn't anything that wasn't first class. The proximity to the beach and shopping is a definite plus. I can't find enough adjectives to do it justice but encourage anyone looking for an exceptional place to vacation to consider this property.

Absolute paradise!

We couldn’t have asked for a better home for our large family get together. This home had everything we needed…we barely even left the property! Spent our mornings at the beach and the afternoons lounging by the beautiful pool. The kids, the teenagers, and the adults all had a perfect vacation! Melody and Randy were so accommodating and easy to communicate with. We can’t thank you enough for the incredible memories!

The Best!!

We’ve stayed at Carillon more times than I can count over the past 20 years. This property exceeded all expectations. and was a family favorite. The owners have paid attention to each detail and provided an atmosphere that was beautiful, trendy, hi tech, efficient and welcoming. Everything we could possibly need was there. It was a short walk to the beach and the pool was a welcome relief at the end of a hot day. I admit to being a little OCD, but I had my confirmation that it was clean when I put on my white golf socks and they didn’t get dirty as I walked through the house! We’re hoping to return again. Thank you Melody and Randy for opening your home so our family could make some lasting memories.

Beautiful property-perfect for multi-generations

Great location close to beach walkover. Home has high end furnishings and finishes. Main house, pool and guest house were perfect for elderly with large bedroom on main level and 3 bedrooms on 2nd level. Carriage house has full kitchen and two bedrooms which was perfect for my niece and 3 children under 4! I highly recommend this property and owner Melody was so responsive and helpful. You will not be disappointed.

The home is beautiful and close to the beach. We have rented many vrbo homes and have never had one that was so well equipped- especially this kitchen. It was a perfect place for our family of eleven.

Super clean, gorgeous home, attentive hosts

We really loved staying at this property -- it was very clean. Like, sit-in-the-bathtub, put-your-clothes-in-the-drawers, no dust on the woodwork clean. It made us feel very comfortable with 2 children under 3. The house was well sized with ensuite bathrooms in every bedroom. The beds, sheets, towels, etc were nice, like the kind you would have in your own house, not a rental house. The location to the beach was amazing -- just a half a block away. We had some issues with the spa heating which we had paid for. The owners were very attentive to it, had someone come out twice and were checking in with us frequently. You could feel they truly cared that our experience was excellent. Given the issues and inconsistency of getting the spa heated, they refunded the payment before I even asked. Things will go wrong, but how they are addressed and how you are treated can make all the difference and the way they handled it did. The neighborhood is good, a bit unkempt in some areas but had everything we needed. I would go back to this property for sure.
