About this property

Most Primo Spot on Lanier - Family Fun & Location, Location, Location!

Tucked in to a cove just a 5 minute boat ride to Gainesville Marina and minutes by car to all the conveniences of groceries and restaurants in downtown Gainesville is this quiet and majestic 3-acre lake property. A blessing for families who desire a place to escape and get away. Guests have plenty parking including boat trailer storage and will stay on the terrace level where every room has beautiful views of Lake Lanier. Just off the patio is a fire pit and a hot tub for your use. Your reserved boat slip is just a short gradual walk off the back porch.

To be clear, my wife and I live on the upper floor and guest stay in the private terrace below that has a separate driveway, entrance, patio fire pit, outdoor griddle and hot tub ... all within view and a short easy walk to the lake.

Great place on the lake

We stayed a week and enjoyed our time a lot. The driveway coming in was hard especially with a boat. They have a great dock for the boat and plenty of space to park our trailer. They don't mind dogs which helped me to choose this place. I was worried because there is no stove but we did good without it. They have a great appliance in the kitchen that has a single burner and an outdoor griddle and grill. When I had a question about something the owner responded right away. They live upstairs which made it handy at times. We will probably be back next year.

We thought this location was perfect and the view of the lake was nice. I would have given it five stars if the beds would have been comfortable, but we couldn’t sleep well and the pillows weren’t great either. Other than that, it was a cozy place.

Excellent Stay

The owner's communication is top-notch. The rental is downstairs, but still very private. The grounds and unit are very neat & tidy. There is a nice sundeck at the dock, a hot tube, a fire pit, and a nice covered porch with comfy outdoor furniture. Room 1 has a king bed, Room 2 has a queen bed, and the nook between Room 2 and the bathroom has a twin bunkbed. There is an additional sink vanity outside of the bathroom making it easy to "get ready" if someone is using the restroom. The kitchen has a nice table, a hot plate, coffee maker, microwave, air frier/toaster oven, and a full-sized refrigerator. The owner's provide plenty of supplies. I have no complaints. I would return to this property.

Very Nice Property

You are renting the basement of the home. It has views of the lake and a large property. The owners are very nice and friendly. You do hear them walking around upstairs. You have privacy and can come and go as you wish. It is a relaxing getaway spot and I would stay again.

Quiet retreat

I was in town for business and it was amazing to wake up with a lake view every morning! My friend was able to bring her two small dogs and we loved it. The owners were lovely and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.

Wonderful Fun and Relaxing

I rented this for my son and his family for his birthday. They said it was above and beyond what they expected. The owners were very nice and the property was accessable to them kayaking , roasting mashmallows , going to town and just quiet to enjoy from working all the time. Highly recommend .

Great stay at Lake Lanier

Everything you could need was at rental. Loved being right on the lake. Deck on top of dock with loungers is a nice place to catch some sun. Appreciated having amenities such as hot tub and fire pit. Great location close to groceries and restaurants.

Friendly family get away!

Comfortable get away for a week or a weekend. We came in July. Insanely hot but thw bass were still active. Loads of fun on the water and the host family was fantastic! Tha ks again!

Location, Beauty, Relaxation & Fun!

We live locally and wanted a fun relaxing weekend with family at the lake. We brought our boat, dog, nieces & grand daughter. Everyone had fun. We enjoyed all the provided toys including the paddle boards, lilly pad, floats, & hot tub. The kids loved jumping off the dock and the view from inside was almost as beautiful as the one from the dock. I think we will be returning in the Fall to enjoy more boat rides and the amazing fire pit. The owners live upstairs and even though some footsteps can be heard occasionally there is still plenty of privacy. Claudia & Mark were great hosts being friendly & informative while still giving us our space. We highly recommend this property.

Cozy cove on the lake

The rental was clean and tidy with great views of the lake. It was super cozy and comfortable. We loved the location on the lake, in a semi quiet cove. It's also closer to shipping and restaurants. The owners are super friendly and communication was quick and easy. The only downside is that you can hear them walking around and their dogs barking above you, but otherwise it's the perfect rental. We'd definitely rent again.

Lovely lake retreat

Our family had such a wonderful time! Mark & Claudia are gracious hosts, and were very accommodating to our needs. The property is just beautiful! The home is newly adorned and there was plenty of room for our family of four plus our two dogs. Based on the property listing, we were surprised to find out that the owners live upstairs. We thought it would be a problem, but we came to find out that the Tibbetts are just a lovely couple. The only other thing is that the kitchen is not a full kitchen. There is a very nice flat-top grill outside that we used to make most of our meals. Overall, this place is a perfect spot for families. We would definitely stay here again!
