We know you will love this house! This bay view home is ready to welcome your family. Enjoy all that Broadkill Beach has to offer from sunrise on the bay to sunset over the wildlife refuge. Located just steps to the beach access and walking distance to the Broadkill Store. Imagine having breakfast looking out at the bay, swimming with the family, and then having a bonfire under the stars on a private beach. The first floor features a gourmet kitchen that opens to the living room, dining room and porch, all with views of the bay. In addition there are 2 bedrooms on the first floor, a deck overlooking the yard and a full bath with walk in shower. The first bedroom has a King bed while the other has 2 twin beds. The second floor has a large living room with a gas fireplace, and deck, with postcard views from inside and out. The second floor Master bed room has a king bed and a large custom bath with a walk in shower and a Bain Ultra Massage Tub.The house comfortably sleeps 6-8 with it's three bedrooms and two full baths and an additional queen sleeper sofa in the second floor living area.

Excellent property right on the beach

As advertised. House is right in the beach. Two large bedrooms for adults. Room to sleep for kids. Very well stocked, including beach chairs, a kayak, various beach tents, and a beach cart. Everything you need for some on vacation. Definitely will book again

Week at the Beach

Awesome house, great location. Gunnar is extremely responsive and helpful with all our needs. This was a quiet beach that was not overcrowded. Def would come back if we visit the area again.

Exceptional House

This was a truly lovely house in a very magical location - complete with view of the ocean just a short walk over the dunes. The house was immaculate, well appointed and extremely comfortable, with plenty of space. We are already talking about going back soon!

Peace at the Beach

It was just what we needed! The beach right down the street and much less crowded than ocean side but a nice evening drive if you wanted to get to the boardwalk. Able to enjoy the water and the beach with younger kids right out our back door. Easy access to get back inside and a great little neighborhood to walk! The layout of the house was spacious and has a great main area for hanging out together. Would highly recommend as a nice calm beach getaway for families!

Clean Family Friendly Home with Easy Beach Access!

Everything was very clean and smelled very clean when we walked in. Location was excellent, a short walk over the berm to the beach that was much less occupied than others we have been to. Being able to wash up when we got back with the outside hose area was great. Shared beach amenities (wagon, toys, inflatable, shovels) were very nice. Private garage and parking was also much better than other locations. Very nice home and quiet neighborhood at the end of a road. Kid friendly. We are hoping this place is still available when we book next time!

Relaxing and comfortable

The house was immaculate and so relaxing for a stay at the beach. You can’t beat the views or the short walk to the beach, especially with young kids. The owners have provided a lot of extras to make the home comfortable - we’ve never had such comfortable mattresses and bedding at a rental property before! We loved the quiet of Broadkill Beach and hope to come back to this exact home one day.

A wonderful stay on the beach!

We loved our 5 day stay at the Mission House. It was a beautiful home and very spacious and accommodating for our family. We enjoyed our daily time on the beach and in the ocean. The views were amazing and the neighbors were all so kind. Gunnar was great as usual and quick to reply to any messages. He even called us on our way down to check on our arrival and to offer suggestions. One restaurant recommendation that we really enjoyed was for Raas in Lewes! Amazing food! Love every second and hope to come back next summer!

Relax and Reset BKB redefines Beach Life

Broadkill Beach is a breath of warm fresh air. This house is top notch with all the necessary amenities of a vacation home. The location is amazing. BKB is a quaint off the beaten path little town. Our family had an amazing time. Thank you Gunnar for sharing your lovely vacation home. We hope to come back in the future.

10+++ beach house

Gorgeous house with all the amenities. Very child friendly ( possibly excepting stairs for very small ones) and extremely appealing design and convenience for adults. So many areas to lounge, including top terrace w view of the beach. Beds very comfortable. Water at the beach warm! Beach so perfect for children and fascinating to see all the horseshoe crabs coming in every evening. It’s a sanctuary for them. Adorable little neighborhood store walkable along the beach —excellent takeaway pizza! Host extremely accommodating and responsive. Cannot recommend more highly!

Pleasant Surprise

Beautiful clean home. Quiet isolated little area with minimal traffic. Almost like we had our own beach. House is literally half a block from the ocean. Beautiful views from the house. The beach is clean but natural with some seaweed etc. Loved the location as there are still waves, but much calmer than the ocean side. Great for children. I’ll be back! Thanks!

Fantastic property steps from the beach.

This house is lovely, moreso than even the pictures would indicate. Beautiful views and easy access to the beach, we left quite impressed with Broadkill Beach. Having stayed in Bethany and Rehoboth on previous occasions and never on the Delaware Bay side, this was a pleasant surprise. Vibe is laid back and all about the beach experience. With unusual (for the East Coast) sunset views on evening strolls through the surf. House is equipped with everything you would need and all the modern conveniences. Spotless and clean with seamless transaction with the owner. Couldn’t have been better! Would highly recommend.

Lovely Family Vacation

We absolutely loved staying at this house! It was the perfect house for our family to spend the week. Our children are almost 6, almost 3, and 2 months. We didn’t stay close to the water last year and we regretted it big time. I cannot explain how nice it was to be steps away from the beach! The house was very nice and very clean! It had everything we needed and more. The host was very responsive. The neighborhood is quiet and we felt like celebrities while at the beach because of the privacy it offered! Also, staying bay side was great for the kids since the waves are very small; we couldn’t get our two oldest ones out of the water! We visited the Rehoboth boardwalk twice while there and also went to Dogfish Head Brewery! We had dinner one night at Thompson Island which was very family friendly! Easy drives to all! We will definitely be booking this property again!

Picture Perfect

My husband and I stayed here the weekend we got married, so I can confirm it works great as a makeshift honeymoon suite! Easy access, beautiful views, comfortable and clean house. I’d recommend to anyone.

Very clean house. Literally has everything, down to the beach cart and a kayak, no need to bring anything extra. Good AC. Very pleasant neighbors. Literally 200 feet to the beach.

WOW!!!! What an amazing week. I'll try to keep this as short as possible but will most definitely fail. We arrived saturday afternoon and were totally impressed. Clean, spacious and well appointed home. We unlaoded the car and headed out to the beach for a stroll. Not overcrowded at all for a saturday(nor was it ever crowded all week)afternoon. We did an online grocery order at food lion in milton and picked it up. We were good to go for the week. Broadkill store has good donuts on the weekends(best to pre order) Picked some up on sunday morning. The next door neighbors are awesome. Our boys had so much fun running and playing with their dogs on the beach. We went to rehoboth, lewes and the outlets during the week. Traffic can be heavy. Broadkill and Mission beach house are something I wish I would have discovered sooner. The owners are great and are always quick to respond should you have a question. We will definitely be back. Thanks for all the memories. ps The on demand hot water dispenser on the kitchen counter is a game changer to preheat your ceramic coffee mug. I didn't know I needed that in my life.

Spacious Clean Beach House

Enjoyed a week at the beach even with mother nature taking a couple days away due to winds and rain. The house was large, clean, and fantastic views. Right on what feels like a private beach due to limited number of houses and no public parking except for the Broadkill store. Took advantage of close distance to Lewes and the Cape on the rainy days. The owner is very responsive and nice. We will be returning for our next beach trip when possible.

Exactly as advertised, house is right on the beach.

Very clean, comfortable, house, right on the beach. The owner was terrific and very responsive. He even let us stay later on our checkout day! The screened in garage door was perfect to assemble and disassemble our beach stuff without getting eaten by mosquitoes. Master bed faces the ocean so you wake up with the sunrise over the waves.

Perfect vacation home

Loved everything about this house!! My favorite part is that the beach is private and there’s hardly anyone ever there! We went to nearby beaches that were insanely busy and just came right back after 15 mins. We will definitely be back next year!!

Why they chose this property

We love the area and our Prime Hook house. So we decided that this is where we wanted to retire and we wanted a house that our kids and their kids could come and enjoy. This house has room for all of us and is beautiful inside and out!

What makes this property unique

The views got us right away and the proximity to the beach access makes it so easy to get to the water. The house is beautiful and has a great kitchen and bathrooms. The two living spaces make it perfect for large families with multiple generations.
