Everything in walking distance, no car necessary, although free parking nearby. 10 minutes from Carcassonne Airport with regular Ryanair flights. 50 minutes from Toulouse Airport (easyjet, Flybe, BA). Mediterranean coast & beaches 40 minutes drive. Excellent golf course 5 minutes. Numerous picturesque circulade villages & Cathar castles under an hour. Upcoming wine region with delicious discoveries on your doorstep. Leisurely cruising, walking or cycling along the Canal du Midi. Ideal central location for exploration or house hunting.

Having ditched life as medical secretary (Inga) and life in the City of London (Mick) we decided to try something completely different. We moved to the region in 2005 with our youngest daughter (then aged 10) and instantly fell in love with Carcassonne and the surrounding countryside and landscape. We live approximately 20 minutes away, in Montreal, having totally renovated our farmhouse too.
Why they chose this property
Location, location, location - there are not many properties that offer views of the Cite like this and we instantly fell in love with the building (being no 17 it has a special meaning to us) and the views! We have renovated Cezanne to combine the old world charm with modern living. A few minutes walk and you are within the Cite itself.
What makes this property unique
Beams, old floor tiles with terrace at back for outside sitting and dining. A few minutes walk and you are in the heart of a World Heritage Site.
