Our Cabin:
Our family cabin has modern updates including granite countertops, high end furnishings, and above all comfy beds. The open kitchen has new appliances, a spacious breakfast bar, and the adjacent dining area seats five. Kitchen is fully stocked with a coffee maker, pots, utensils, dishwasher, microwave, oven, spices and grill. Our cozy family room has a gas stove for your enjoyment. A washer/dryer unit is available for our guests. We try to keep our cleaning fees and costs to a minimum. During the summer enjoy our outdoor grill and available yard games. Deck furniture is available year-round because our front porch is covered for your enjoyment.
Note: Since we are right off of Highway 4 there is some traffic noise from our deck and outside. You do not hear the traffic from inside the house with windows closed. There is a positive to this during winter months as winter access is a breeze and you are less likely to get snowed in.

Location:
R & R Family Cabin is located in the desirable neighborhood of Lakemont Pines Arnold. Steps away from the Stanislaus National Forest. Highlights of our area is the year round fun it provides from a private lakefront beach in the summer, and in the winter, skiing, tubing and snowboarding are only minutes away in Bear Valley. Hiking, wine tasting, and other activities are available year-round as well.
Lakemont Pines is a private HOA with a beautiful lake and lodge. It has a vintage lake resort feel, and is much quieter and less crowded than other nearby HOAs. Summertime activities abound during the Fathers' Day to Labor Day season, with outdoor movies, and various games and contests down at the lake. Hiking and mountain biking is available right out the front door in any season.
If you've never been to the Arnold area, you're in for a treat! Ideally located in the Stanislaus National Forest, we are 40 minutes from Bear Valley Ski Resort to the east, and 15 minutes from the charming gold rush town of Murphys, with its wine tasting rooms, boutique shopping and gourmet restaurants. Also nearby are Columbia State Park, a preserved gold rush community; Calaveras Big Trees State Park and its giant sequoias; and Railtown 1897 State Historic Park, not to mention golf, winery tours, cave tours, zip lines, horseback riding and more! Yosemite Valley is about 2.5 hours to the south.
Arnold weather is ideal for all-season fun! The warmest months are June through September, with average temps in the perfect upper 70s - low 80s range. The cabin is shady and cool, and the lake water temp is in the mid-70s. Ski season normally begins in December and carries through mid-April. Because we're at 3,500 feet, we get the postcard views without the heavy snow load farther up the hill, which means easier access during the snow season. And spring and fall are normally in the 55 - 65 range -- perfect for checking out the fall foliage in Ebbetts Pass, or visiting Yosemite without the crowds.
