Town house from the early 20th century, tastefully decorated and furnished, bright, very spacious and functional.
Pretty landscaped and shaded garden, not overlooked. 100 mÂČ.
It has 4 bedrooms, 1 on the ground floor, with shower room and separate WC. Large dining kitchen, and large living room.
Upstairs: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, library, small TV lounge, console and video games.

It is located in a quiet residential area, 10 minutes walk from the center (les Halles de Tours).
In the immediate vicinity: bus, shops (bakery, butcher, supermarket, newsagent, etc.)
Farmers market on Wednesday and Saturday (Carreau des Halles) and Sunday (Place Rabelais)
15 minutes walk from the historic center, Place Plumereau, and many restaurants of all kinds.

Our location is also ideal for visiting the Loire castles.

Touring Tours

Great place to stay. Easy to walk everywhere we wanted. Only 20 minutes to the SNCF for ChĂąteau visits (recommend a 3-day train pass for up to 5 travellers).

The property was well represented by the photographs.

The rooms,facilities, garden were excellent and comfortable. Marie was flexible and welcoming on check in. Location is in a quiet area and a short walk to many bars/restaurants while shops for necessities nearby. Would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in Tours.

Family getaway

This inviting, nicely furnished home was conveniently situated near food stores, shopping and restaurants. Plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The kitchen was perfect for cooking with everything needed for making meals. The fireplace looked inviting online , but can’t be used. Being located in town on a one way street meant parking could be challenging. The host was friendly and helpful throughout the process.

Spacious house with character

The parking was a little tight, but what a cool house! Our hostess Maria was amazing and spoke great English and knew all of the best places to go. No AC so it was a little warm upstairs, but not too bad. Location for stores was great

On Tour in Tours for RWC 2023

This is a lovely older property which is really well placed in Tours. We walked everywhere and loved Tours. Great choice of restaurants in both the old and new town. Spent seven weeks in total in the house while attending RWC 2023 so probably had a few minor issues that short-term stay people would not have. Our host Marie was excellent and sorted any issue as quickly as she could. She made us feel very welcome and showed great patience. A couple of negatives - parking is tough, tight and open to all so had to park a few streets away on occasion. Smaller cars better for this. Internet very good upstairs not so downstairs and needed a booster which Marie sorted. Back to the positives - No.5 bus at end of street brings you to main TGV station and is then only an hour to Paris - we also travelled to Bordeaux and Nantes for matches and all ran smoothly. Tours a smashing place to base yourself for a French exploring holiday. Airport a 20 minute drive with easy access by car and tram (10 mins walk). Our family able to visit which was great. Became our French home from home and we were well looked after by Marie.

LhĂŽtesse a rĂ©pondu Ă  tous nos besoins. Sa gentillesse et son professionnaliste sont excellents. Épicerie et boulangerie Ă  5 minutes de la maison est trĂšs pratique pour faire les repas. Chambres nombreuses et propres. Le grand salon est pratique pour les soirĂ©es entre amis. AccĂšs Ă  la cour pour lapĂ©ro.

Nous avons passĂ© une semaine avec deux enfants de 6 et 1 ans dans cette belle maison, trĂšs bien situĂ©e dans Tours, Ă  10 min Ă  pied des commerces de bouche. Petit jardin/terrasse trĂšs agrĂ©able, quartier trĂšs paisible, dĂ©coration soignĂ©e, nous gardons un trĂšs bon souvenir de cette expĂ©rience Ă  Tours. Nous avons Ă©tĂ© trĂšs bien accueillis, il ne manquait rien lors de notre arrivĂ©e et nous n’avons jamais eu de problĂšme pour garer la voiture dans la rue. Nous recommandons vivement, en famille ou entre amis.

Fun in Tours

This is a great place. Close to everything with a great kitchen and garden seating area. Really felt at home. Close to markets, boulangerie, restaurants, and shopping. Good on-street parking. The hosts were nice, helpful and communicated really well. We felt very welcomed.

L`extĂ©rieur (jardin) n`Ă©tait pas Ă  la hauteur de nos attentes, le BBQ est au charbon de bois au lieu d`ĂȘtre au gaz propane, donc beaucoup plus long pour faire la cuisson extĂ©rieur. Table d`extĂ©rieur n`Ă©tait pas en bon Ă©tat.
