Welcome to Cochran’s Corner, our cozy family-owned cottage in Kill Devil Hills! Located directly across the street from a beach access, this 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottage comfortably accommodates 7–8 adults, making it a great option for families or groups traveling together.

Enjoy the coastal scenery from the large wraparound deck, multiple outdoor seating areas, and crow’s nest deck with panoramic views. The queen bedroom also features a recently renovated private balcony, providing a peaceful spot to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening sunset.

With the beach just across the street, you can easily come and go without worrying about beach parking. After a day in the sun and sand, you also have the convenience of rinsing off in the large enclosed outdoor shower, which includes a changing area.

The main living level is bright, comfortable, and designed for everyone to gather. An enclosed sunroom branches off the kitchen, providing another gathering space with additional seating.

Beautiful, large house! Howard was very responsive to messages and made the check in and check out process very easy. We especially enjoyed spending time on the numerous decks on each floor of the house. The close proximity to the beach was unbeatable!

The pictures don’t do this home justice! Literally across the street from the beach and the home had everything we needed! Kitchen was stocked, beds were comfortable, home was immaculate and communication with the host was super fast! Beach chairs and wagons were a bonus! We will definitely be back!! Such a great place to stay and end my summer!!

Clean house, conveniently located steps to beach; grocery stores and restaurants are just moments away, stay in and cook if desired in the fully furnished kitchen. Comfortable beds, but tight second floor bathroom and some of the furniture is dated, everything was clean and comfortable. Easy pull through parking, a clean propane grill, outdoor shower, laundry, spare fridge, and plenty of beach accessories are found on the ground floor. Ocean views from both decks, shade on the second floor deck and sun on the 3rd with plenty of seating. Great for a family vacation. Communication was excellent, fast replies and very courteous. Homeowner is clearly focused on providing a enjoyable experience.

Great stay!

We loved staying here! The location can’t be beat (unless you’re paying for actual oceanfront). Worked really well for us to stay on main level and use the two upstairs rooms for the kids. It was so nice to have beach chairs/umbrella/cart available. Howard was great to work with (though we didn’t need anything because there were no issues!).

Simplicity!! Beach access across the street, steps away from a great beach bar! It was great not having to bring beach chairs, umbrella, shovel, beach cart, boggie boards etc…they had everything we needed. Nice to be able to walk to Goombays for a meal and drinks also and not worry about parking the whole trip.

Wonderful week in the OBX

What a great home. It had everything we needed to fully relax for the week with the kiddos. Can't beat the location being super close to the beach. Also really nice being near grocery stores, mini golf, and lots of restaurants. Host was awesome and made the trip seamless. Highly recommend this home for a relaxing vacation.

Beautiful getaway

We had a wonderful time at Cochran's Corner. It's a lovely home right near the beach. We enjoyed sitting on the multiple decks and watching the ocean. The kitchen was well stocked and the house had all the amenities that we needed.

Perfect Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time staying at Cochran’s Corner! The house was very clean and well equipped for cooking, relaxing and enjoying family time. There was easy access to the beach right across the street, plus beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and a cart to use - which was such a nice touch! Very convenient to grocery stores, restaurants and activities. We had plenty of room for our family of 6. We will definitely be back!

Great location and lay out

Great central location close to beach and stores. Well laid out to allow privacy when needed or wanted… upstairs great for teens. Short ride to bayside bike trail. Well stocked with dishes and cookware. Loved the sunroom!

Amazing space and location!

I can’t say enough great things about this property. The location and space were perfect for our family. Also, the owner was extremely responsive and accommodating. He really went above and beyond! Do yourself a favor and book this place for a perfect beach vacation!
