She's A Brick House is a wonderful place for family fun.. Few locations on Norris Lake are in as close proximity to both the lake, the mountains, and the LaFollette/Jacksboro retail, restaurant, medical, and business district as we are. Across the street from Indian River Marina, we are 2 miles from town. This is a quiet and very comfortable house nestled up next to Koi ponds, 100 yards from IRM and the lake, and 20 minutes to fantastic ATV trails.
If you need a great place to stay in this area; this is it. Read our reviews. Three queen bedrooms, two bathrooms, large living room with day bed, fully supplied kitchen (blender, microwave, gas stove), gas grill, gas fireplace for cool weather use, laundry room, large front porch and large back porch with tables and chairs, beautiful Koi fish ponds and viewing decks (no swimming allowed), four televisions with cable (one in the living room and one in each bedroom), wireless internet, four car parking with trailer parking available as needed, large front yard looking down to Norris Lake, two miles from the Lafollette/Jacksboro business/retail district, and seven miles from Interstate 75. The property address is 117 Boshears Trail, but GPS maps sometimes show it as 117 Shoshone Trail. They are one and the same. It's easy to find. Gray brick with black shutters. Circular blacktop driveway up to the house.
Coming for the Lake We are a three-minute walk to Indian River Marina where a new store and restaurant have just opened in 2020. Live entertainment through the summer season, great food and beverages, and a nice, friendly, atmosphere. Pontoon boat rental available, or for boat owners who can reserve a boat slip or tie up a spot on the walkway as available. Norris Lake has 850 miles of shoreline and 25 marinas to visit. Our side of the lake is much more peaceful than most other parts. We are located within a few miles from most everything happening in rural Campbell County.
Coming for the Mountains The middle of nowhere is not far from us. Remote mountain areas and trails abound nearby for four-wheeling, seasonal hunting, rock climbing, mountain climbing, and riding/hiking trails. The Cumberland Mountains, Ride Royal Blue, Big South Fork, and the Chuck Swan, Cove Lake, and Sundquist Wildlife Management Areas are easily accessed from our place.
Better than a hotel For those just visiting the area to look at property, attend a family reunion, see relatives for the holidays, conduct business, see the fall colors, or for whatever reason you come to the LaFollette/Jacksboro/Norris Lake area our accommodations should meet your needs.
We have 3 - one bedroom one bath units that we rent, so if this one isn't available or you have a large party, ask about the others. The Backyard Shed VRBO # 1382807 The Corner Shed VRBO # 2243371 The Upper East Side VRBO # 2243485

We had a fantastic stay at this house! The house was incredibly clean and spacious. One of the highlights was the beautiful backyard—peaceful, private, and perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxation watching the fireflies. It felt like our own little retreat! The host was responsive, making check-in and communication easy from start to finish.Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable getaway with plenty of space and a lovely outdoor area. We would absolutely stay here again.
This was such a beautiful and relaxing property! I hated to leave as we made friends with the bull frogs, dragonflies and even a huge monarch butterfly! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Had a great time. The Brick House was very nicely decorated and a great place to unwind and relax in the back yard around all the koi ponds. The boat was also a good idea to rent. We enjoyed the lake also. Very centrally located and would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away for a weekend or week trip to the lake. We are thinking of going again next year. Thanks again, we really liked y’all’s place!!
She's a brick house was a great rental for our family! Super clean, updated and tastefully decorated without being overdone. I love that they provide work towels for messes in order to keep the nice linens stain-free. Owners were super accommodating, boat rental is a great add-on and even though there are multiple rentals on the same property, we never felt like we were in a fish bowl. We would highly recommend and plan to come back!
Beautiful grounds make any stay relaxing. Many comfortable outdoor seating options gave us great places to gather to make memories. We visited a local festival and had a stress free drive to UTK for a game. The kitchen has everything you need and more. Truly a cooks kitchen! Beds are comfortable and bathrooms well updated. Hosts are friendly and make the check in process seamless. We will be back!
When I arrived at the home to check in, the host still had not sent me a door codes for access. I was able to get in touch with him after waiting outside for 25 minutes. While unloading our vehicle, my children were startled by a person who came our of a van (also parked in the driveway) asking what we were doing there. I explained why we were there and she told me I should park on the other side of the house because she pays the host to rent the driveway space and use the water and electric. I honestly have never rented a home through any booking site and had this kind of encounter.
Nevertheless, we proceeded to unpack our things and settle in. The home itself was nice and as described, but in a very dirty condition. There was a broken chair in the kitchen, stains on the sheets and comforters in two bedrooms, missing remote for tv and the most disturbing thing was the black mold stains on the ceiling in the master bedroom from what seemed to be some sort of leek from the attic. I did contact the host that evening letting him know about the condition. He came by the following with a tv remote, new set of sheets, removed the broken chair and painted the ceiling to cover up the mold. When he contacted me later that day to let me know everything was taken care of, he was cautious about the mold and said he did not know what it was but that he was able to clean it off. A total lie, I did take before and after pictures of the areas and all items listed. I would not stay here again
This property was clean, maintained and very comfortable! I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay in the Jacksboro area. Owners were very tentative, polite, hospitable and willing to engage in conversation. Thank you again to the owners for a lovely stay!
From booking to our stay every detail was amazing. Beautiful outdoor spaces. Comfortable sleeping. Fantastic kitchen. Plush bath towels. Unmatched communication. Memories for a lifetime! Great place to stay to watch The Vols beat ‘Bama
We enjoyed staying at this property. It was close to the water and accommodated our family well. Only comment would be to make sure you read carefully what is and is not provided in the house.
Beautiful spot. The pictures are true. The backyard is beautiful. The front is nicely landscaped. We hosted a family event. The kitchen is full-size. We counted we had out side seating at tables for the entire gang. It was nice. The hosts were awesome.
This a great property and the owners are very hospitable and friendly. Koi ponds are a delight and the home is very warm and accommodating. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Enjoyed our stay!
House was clean. Big enough. We got in late and the owners flagged us in.

Why they chose this property
The environment is laid back with flowered landscaping and waterfalls near outdoor seating areas. It's 5 minutes to the retail/restaurant services in our area. It's a two minute walk to the lake and launch ramp. Depending on where you are going to ride ATV mountain trails are 15 to 30 minutes. Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg are about a 1 hour drive away. Knoxville is 40 minutes.
