This spacious condo with 1,279 square feet features a Nautical theme with nautical accessories, crown molding, chair rails and porcelin tile throughout. Other upgrades include 43' high definition TV (1080P) with Blu-Ray/Wi-Fi connection (Movies via Netflix available) in living room with convertor cable box providing a full range of wide screen high definition channels. You'll enjoy movies, sports and your favorite shows broadcast in true High Definition on large TVs. There is a 42' Hi Def TV with Blu-Ray/WI-FI (Movies via Netflix available) in the Master, 31' Hi Def TV with a DVD in the Bunk room and a 36' Hi Def TV with Blu-Ray in the guest room. There is plenty of comfortable seating with a sofa, love seat, occasional chair, dining table that seats six and three bar stools at the breakfast bar. There are sleeping arrangements for up to eight people with a king sized bed in the master, a queen sized sofa bed, a queen sized bed in the guest bedroom and bunk beds in the Kid's room. Family vacation

Was a perfect vacation for my family with having little kids. Beach and pool was right there and food within walking distance. Would definitely stay again! Pools could have been a little warmer only negative.

Amazing place, right on the beach

Our family had a great stay, with other friends staying in the same complex. Pool and hot tub were great and being so close to the beach was super convenient. We had a great time.

Destin West Gulfside 408 was a great spot for our family vacay! The beds were super comfortable, and we all slept awesome. We made the most of the amazing patio view of the ocean as well :)

This unit was wonderful and clean. This was the first time we stayed in a condo as we usually stay next door at The Island. I will likely never go back to a hotel stay and hope to continue to book at Destin West.

Our new favorite

This is probably our new favorite place to stay on the gulf coast. Great view of the beach and ocean and overlooks the pool. Nice having different amenities on both sides of the resort.. Loved having staff checking on who's coming and going as well. Condo was clean and well stocked for our group of 5 adults. Would not hesitate to book it again. Thanks Paul

Beautiful Beach, Perfect Location

This condo was perfect for our first trip to Okaloosa Island. It had everything we needed and was very clean overall. The resort is clean and well maintained, with a fantastic location. The private beach is stunning. We had a fabulous week and hope to return. I took off one star for cleanliness because many of the plates and utensils in the cabinet/drawers were dirty upon arrival. We ran a large load through the dishwasher and all was well.

The condo itself was fine, however the facility’s elevators were out of order off and on the whole time we were there which was very frustrating seeing as I was already struggling with a broken ankle and walking boot.

Best one yet

We rent in the Gulfside building everything we come to Ft. Walton but this has been the best condo by far. We had extra luggage this time and couldn't bring our chairs but this condo had chairs and toys in the closet. That meant a whole lot to us and my 8 year old daughter loved the toys. This is a beautiful condo with a spectacular view. We will rent again in the future. Thanks so much. We made lots of memories.

Michiganders

We were amazed by the spectacular fine white sand and aqua clear water. Much to do in the area even if its cool. Bucceneer Pirate Boat was a blast and Gulfarium was wonderful. Although it was cool the sun was very intense and warmed us up. 60 degree days made the beach very enjoyable too. Bring a kite -plenty of wind and space to fly. Bonus-we found 3 keepable sandollars :) Wish and large pool was heated and recommend having shuffle board and at least 2 corn hole games out on the beautiful large Gulf side Pool deck for added pleasure. We used The Island resort games a couple of times. We will be back for sure!!

Review

Our only complaint was the side pool gate isn’t open. Your property doesn’t offer any bar or food service, but the next door property does, yet we had to walk twice as far to get. That was beyond ridiculous. That needs opened w a key code if you think other people would take advantage of. Open the gate!

Why they chose this property

We discovered the beautiful beaches in Fort Walton Beach and Destin in 1970's. Since discovering the sugar white sand and crystal clear waters of the Gulf we've never visited the Atlantic again. We also love boating and fishing. Destin's harbour is absolutely gorgeous with magnificent yachts, charter fishing fleet, sight seeing boats, pirate sail boats and exciting night life. Destin and Ft. Walton also have upscale and discount shopping, golf, tennis and numerous restaurants offering everything from Jimmy Buffett casual to fine dining. It's paradise!

What makes this property unique

We purchased a condo at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort because of all the amenities. Families on vacation desire something for everyone to do. In addition to the beach there are six pools including a Lazy River, a zero entry pool and a waterfall. There's a beach front fitness center with state of the art equipment. Within an easy stroll is the Boardwalk with numerous restaurants. Within four miles is Destin's vibrant harbour with loads of activities. Fun abounds!
