We really enjoyed being able to fit the entire Bachelorette party at this property! Super cute aesthetic, walkable distance to coffee, shopping, and food.
The home was located close to downtown and was clean and comfortable!

Beautiful home and close to main st
We enjoyed our stay. We were 3 couples and shared the whole home.
The home is fully separated into 2 suites. Both have kitchenettes with very small refrigerators and the key items needed to heat things up. There is no stove so keep this in mind if you are a family and need to cook something.
The beds were amazing and super comfortable. 2 hot tubs were a plus and parking was easy.
This property is in such a good location and the booking was so easy! Would definitely stay again!

Enjoyed!!
We enjoyed our stay. Great location! Clean. Nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. Nice linens. Microwave but no range or oven and limited glassware and dishes so not the place to stay if you intend to cook. We rented the entire house-two units. Very steep and narrow stairs in larger unit so difficult to bring larger suitcases upstairs (we didn't bring up). Would.be nice to have decaf coffee along with regular.
In Bijou Jeannine unit some plumbing issues which we brought to attention of rental management (shower drain slow - and inefficient toilet). Hope for future renters it is addressed. Loved porch swings. Rainy so didn't use backyard space.

We loved our stay!
We had so much fun on our visit! Bijou House was so nice, so cute, we loved it. We will definitely return for another visit!!
This location was perfect for our friends weekend ! walking distance to all of the town but not on the main drag so it was quiet and peaceful! This was wonderful for us to unwind, cool and clean I would recommend this location !
Not only is the property beautiful, the beds are high quality. The hot tub was clean and really nice. All was high quality with a very pleasant ambience. I’ll be back.
Came in for a girl’s weekend for my bestie’s 50th birthday. The house was quant and welcoming. We loved the space and the outside areas were just as inviting as the inside. Enjoyed our visit. Will definitely come back.
This place was so adorable. My children thoughts it was amazing. Everything was just as pictured. We satyed for a wedding that was at a church down the street, so it was very convenient. And it was near town so that we could walk to different stores and restuarants. I would absolutely stay here again!!!!
This was a girls trip with my mom and nieces. This house was PERFECT! They have several little touches that were nice. Extra coffee, coffee creamer in the fridge, wine opener & glasses and more. The location was great for going downtown but far enough away that when we were in the hot tub it wasn't loud. We all think the beds were very comfy and there were plenty of pillows to choose from. Only thing I would like to note is in the 3 bedroom house, the stairs are a little steep but I think only young kids or older adults would have issues with them. I would highly recommend this house.
We decided to travel to Fredericksburg for Christmas this year instead of celebrating at home. We rented both sides of the Bijou. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas right down to having stockings hanging on the mantle. It was perfect in terms of size and comfort. A few things to note, however, for those looking at this property. There are two bedrooms upstairs at Charmaine. The stairs are extremely steep. Also there is no oven or cooktop on either side, so your only choice is to grill everything. Very convenient to Main Street and shopping.
The house was in a great location. It was clean and the owners were communicative. However, the stairs leading to the two bedrooms upstairs are treacherous. I would say that if you have older people in your party and plan to use every room, this could be a big issue for you. I had to stay in the upstairs bedroom and I can attest first hand, it is a problem. The stairs are most certainly not to code. It's nearly impossible to haul luggage up the stairs. And one additional, somewhat minor complaint, the bathroom shower in that upstairs loft doesn't have anywhere to put shampoo or soap other than the floor.
The hot tub never worked, and plus the water was murky. The tv worked half the time. It rained most of the time we were there, so there was not much to do other than watch tv. They never sent anyone to work on the hot tub. The first time they sent someone to work on the tv it took all day for the guy to show up. The second time the tv quit working, they sent the cleaning lady to fix it. One of the chairs squeaked constantly. The tile in the showers were scary slippery. The small charcoal grill in the backyard was rusting so bad that one of the legs snapped off as soon as we touched it. The hosts were snarky and rude. One of the hosts showed up at 1030 (checkout time was 11) the day of our checkout and was unhappy that we hadn’t left yet.
This is a cute little setup for two couples traveling together, but still wanting separate space and privacy. Essentially, it is one well-decorated house with two divided living quarters with a shared outdoor area. Do not, however, be fooled by the prospect of four bedrooms. The extra two bedrooms are upstairs in an attic. To get to this space, one had to navigate the staircase. The steps are very narrow. And the whole staircase is extremely steep, definitely not kid-friendly. Once upstairs, be prepared to duck… getting out of bed and going to bathroom. Our favorite part of the house was the outside covered area and fire pit, great for visiting and playing games. Property line extends beyond the gathering area, but it was somewhat unkept with a few limbs down. Again, not great for kids running around. Lesson learned is to read the fine print and consider all the details.
Sweet living spaces. Family/Friends can gather around inside or outside to chat and/or eat in two different spaces. (There’s an additional quaint space for outdoor chats.) The front porch swings are nice for morning quiet-times. The counter space in the kitchen is quiet small, so prepared charcuterie boards, sandwiches, and finger foods work best here. Plenty of parking in a very quiet part of town. We will be back!
The Bijou house is wonderful. We had the whole house and it was perfect for our family. Fabulous location. The homes are decorated beautifully! Remember to take note this is no stove or oven. Just keep that in mind. We will be back!
This is a beautiful historic home. The house is actually a home with two separate units, each with a nice front porch swing. We rented both sides (the entire house). Each side has a kitchenette area, with a tiny refrigerator and a table with chairs. There is no stove. There is also no washer or dryer on the property. (We had another house rented as well, so we were able to cook and do laundry at the other home.)
The bedrooms all have king size beds and they are all quite comfortable. The bathrooms are all very nice as well. One unit has a large tub for soaking. Each unit has a TV mounted on the wall in the living room.
The outdoor space is fantastic. There are 2 jacuzzies, a large patio with table and chairs for 8 and a fire pit with 6 chairs.
We spent evenings playing games and relaxing in the outdoor space after retuning to the home. There is plenty of parking if you have a large group.
