About this property

1850s Farmhouse on 70 Acre Family Farm (Flower & Goat Farm)

Enjoy a Farm-Stay at our vintage farmhouse that has been gently restored but where Pinterest comes alive in each room and attention to detail. Relax on the wrap around front porch and take in the serenity of the farm, the bounty of flower beds on all sides, and even explore a bit of the farm. We are recognized by the State of Georgia as a Flower & Goat Farm through their Agri-Tourism office. We also run a wedding venue business, The Barn at High Point Farms, on the grounds in seasons mid-March through November on most weekends. Always double check availability before booking since our priority is our wedding guests. The grounds and landscaping will beckon you to talk a leisurely walk to see it all.

One Dog is allowed with a pet $50 fee. Dog MUST BE crated if left alone unattended in the house. Dog is not allowed on the bed. Owner must bag up/dispose poops and place in an outdoor garbage can. We are a family farm and a working farm. We often have on our farm property family, friends, and other guests who may be working, lodging, riding horses, touring etc plus we often have chickens loose around the animal barn or our Great Pyrenees loose as they try to protect our many critters so please either leash or have total verbal control of your dog when they are outside — for everyone’s safety.

Upgrades are optional such as a personalized farm tour ($25), a fresh out of the garden bouquet ($25/$35/$50), a goat visit ($25), or even a bonfire ($50). With Chattanooga only 15 minutes away, it makes staying a few days at the farm a convenient way to have it all.

Respite from the city

This was the perfect retreat from city life. Covered porch and shade trees made being outside most of the day so very pleasant, even on the near-90 degree days. The goats and other family animals provided great entertainment and company, and the human hosts are superb!

Tranquil

This is the 2nd time we've booked this property in order to spend time with our grandchildren for Christmas who live in the area. We love the property and the fact that there is plenty of room for them to roam and play outside. They enjoy the farm and seeing the animals.

Heavenly

What a wonderful labor of love that this beautiful farm house represents. So full of charm and character on the inside, surrounded by the most beautiful flower gardens that I've ever seen on the outside. You can not take a bad picture around here and the friendly dogs, goats, and horses all add to the magic!

The Beautiful, peaceful Farmhouse.

The farmhouse is surrounded by beautiful flowers and fields. The house is very clean and comfortable. There is a huge front porch with a swing that was perfect for enjoying my morning coffee. The location is great if you enjoy outdoor activities. It is only a few miles away from downtown Chatanooga. We will definitely be back. One of the best VRBO's we have visited.

Mom/daughter getaway

The farm and farmhouse did not disappoint. It was our 2nd time here and we plan to make this a yearly event. The beauty and peaceful atmosphere is so refreshing to my daughter and me. The place was spotless and we had everything we needed for our stay. We’re so grateful that we found this place. It’s away from the city yet close enough if you need something! It’s a perfect place to get away for a little R & R. Thanks for everything!!

What a beautiful, peaceful place!

We came here for a quick destress from these very stressful times. It was perfect. The location is beautiful. The farm itself is beautiful. The farmhouse was perfect. I was so impressed by how they restored and decorated the house. The hosts were attentive but completely unobtrusive. We WILL be back and we have already recommended this place to our friends.

Every detail of this trip was wonderful! The home was beautiful, clean and comfortable! The property was lovely and the host Margie Is so kind. She was easy to communicate with and helped us to have a great time! We loved getting to explore the farm and feed the goats. Margie even brought a new born baby goat to the house for us to hold! The location is awesome if you’re looking at heading to Rock City or into Chattanooga also! We are already talking about our next trip to the farmhouse!

The most serene getaway

This is the most charming, serene setting and place ever. We needed a quiet getaway to rest and recharge and this farmhouse was so perfect. It had every single thing we could want and was just the right amount of charm and rustic. The animals we got to see, goats (OMG so cute—bring ritz crackers to feed them), horses, chickens and a sweet Great Pyrenees dog that roams around. The wraparound porch is the perfect place for morning coffee or a glass of wine. We watched the fireflies under twinkle lights at night! We strolled rows and rows of beautiful flowers too. Just so charming!!!

Just Perfect

We were unaware that this property is also a wedding venue. The farm house was perfect for our stay - very roomy for one couple and small dog. Loved the setting with rolling hills and flowers, goats, horses and heavenly sunsets. Owners were also very accommodating. The barn and outdoor firepit would be a wonderful place for a reception. It even has a tree house! Loved it.

Tranquil and beautiful

What a wonderful place to stay and decompress!!! The location was perfect, close to Chattanooga, Mt biking and hiking trails, yet off the beaten path enough to be peaceful and relaxing. The hosts were so kind, gave us great information on places to hike and bike. We also enjoyed listening to the history of the farm. The gardens were beautiful and the goats were so much fun to watch. The porch was a great place to sit in the evening, playing games and watching the fire flies. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Just What We were Looking For

A wonderfully peaceful three nights at this property. Close to the things that we wanted to do including hiking at Cloudland Canyon and spending time in Chattanooga. Each evening we strolled the property taking in the mountain skyline, talking to the farm’s goats and horses, and breathing in the fresh air. Hens laying eggs in a pen nearby and a rooster crowing now and then — tho not super early. Also enjoyed visited the Shirley Miller Wildflower Trail, not too far away. Definitely recommend!

Barn review😁

we would definately stay here again. We relaxed fully in this farmhouse style location. Peaceful and quiet. Enjoyed walking the property with beautiful gardens. As an added bonus the goats, horses and dogs added to the charm, along with a little songbird the visited us several times a day sitting on an old barber chair that decorated the huge porch. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. Love love love this place. My husband says you need to get some chickens.🐔

Cute and cozy!

We enjoyed our stay in the farmhouse and would definitely stay again! This charming house is very old and the pictures accurately describe the house. When we arrived, the house was clean, soft sheets on the kind size bed and overall a very comfortable feeling. The owners were very friendly and gave us information about a nearby wildflower trail. Make sure to checkout Shirley Miller Wildflower trail and you won’t be disappointed. Chattanooga is a short drive away as well. At the farm, the goats were a big hit with my seven year daughter just be sure to bring Ritz crackers. We didn’t mind the busyness of the surrounding homes but if you want to be totally secluded, this isn’t for you. Well maintained gardens and flower beds were getting ready to bloom so I would imagine late spring is gorgeous here!
