In the woods getaway
Bonnie has thought of everything. So secluded. If you can’t get a goods night rest here something is wrong. My family totally loved this property. Inside and out. Just wonderful. Mike W

About the host

Hosted by Bonnie and Glenn Price

Host profile image
Owners Bonnie and Glenn Price welcome you to PM Trailhead Lodge. The Price's have been coming to the Pere Marquette River for over 25 years and they moved to the area full time in 2015. Their love of the river, outdoor wildlife and the numerous outdoor activities and adventures in the region are displayed throughout the property.

Why they chose this property

The Pere Marquette River is famously known as the place where brown trout were introduced into North America in 1883. In 1978, the Pere Marquette River was designated as a Wild and Scenic River. The PM River is the longest unregulated (no dams or impoundments) river system in Michigan's Lower Peninsula. The river is a nationally known, high-quality stream, which supports large populations of resident trout, steelhead and salmon. From M-37 to Gleason's Landing, the State has designated the river as quality fishing water requiring catch and release with flies only.

Baldwin is one of Michigan's top water recreation areas. It is situated on the Baldwin River, about three miles north of where it meets the Pere Marquette River.
Known as a premier canoeing experience and for its specialty fishing lure and equipment shops, not to mention gifts and antiques as well.

The Shrine of the Pines is a world famous tourist attraction that is displayed in a Northwood hunting lodge, in a secluded, wooded spot on the banks of the historic Pere Marquette River.

What makes this property unique

Nestled just 3 miles outside downtown Baldwin, MI and less than 1 mile from the famous Pere Marquette River - a designated national wild and scenic river - the Lodge is uniquely located to provide extreme privacy (closest neighbor is over 1 mile away) but relatively close proximity to many of Lake County's attractions.
