The cabin sleeps 7 comfortably, 1 bedroom has a queen bed, another bedroom has bunk bed with twin on top and a full on bottom, and the loft has another queen bed. The kitchen is open to the great room that has a pellet stove as a second source of heat for the home plus the cozy feel of a fire. Hiking through the woods is a wonderful way to enjoy the day. There is also a dog sled trail behind the cabin. You can also cross country skiing or snowshoeing in the winter.
If you like to ORV...the trailhead is on Sterns Road and near the cabin
The cabin is: 15 minutes to downtown Baldwin 30 minutes to Ludington 40 minutes from Caberfae Ski Resort Close to 3 different launch locations on the Pere Marquette River

So glad you enjoyed your time at the cabin! Thank you!
Gorgeous, quiet, peaceful woodland cabin! The cabin was clean, and stocked just as described in the listing. Loved breakfast in the screened front porch! Loved the quiet walks along the dirt road. No neighbors nearby, except the birds and squirrels! The 4 seasons room at the back of the house is amazing!!

The property was nicely decorated. Would have given 5 stars if would have had the amenities they listed in the posting and it was very difficult to cool the loft and back livingroom areas.

Thank you for staying at the cabin. I’m not sure what amenities were missing that was listed. I’m truly sorry that something was missing for you. The cabin is older and full of rustic charm. Originally there was no duct work to the loft or back porch. We had the furnace company run a line for heating and cooling up to the loft and back porch with limited options without huge remodeling. It does take those areas longer to cool down as the thermostat is in the living room and heat naturally rises and it is a longer run to the porch. Keeping the doors open helps regulate the temperature in those rooms as well. We don’t have high nightly rates that reflect the cabin’s imperfections. We do have many guests that stay here year after year and love it as we do but we understand it is not for everyone.

Just what we needed to get away from everything. Close to River Access points and half hour to ludington. Lot is big and private, cabin had everything we needed.
We had a great stay. It was private and peaceful! The screened porch was a highlight! We loved that we could bring our dogs. Thanks for a fantastic week!

Why they chose this property
My husband and I went to Baldwin on our first date....do I need to say anymore : ) We had a wonderful and when the opportunity came to buy this cabin years later we could not resist. Come for a visit and you might fall in love too...
What makes this property unique
There is so much to do or you can take time to just sit back and relax with nature all around you. We have a blast here at the cabin when we have an action pack day out on the ORV trails, snowmobiling/skiing, or in the Pere Marquette River, or hiking in the woods, or cuddle up on the couch in the cabin. It is a wonderful place for couples, families, or for groups of friends.
