Great Stay

We stayed here for my daughter’s wedding weekend! It was a perfect location close to the venue (Howe Farms). I wish the weather could have been better to enjoy the beautiful outdoors of your home.

Gorgeous views

We stayed here for a long weekend to attend a family wedding at Howe Farms. Upon check in, we found an amazing welcome basket that both the adults and kids enthusiastically enjoyed! We actually had really nice weather for March and the older teens were able to take the 2 kayaks out and paddled across the river and back! There are a lot of steps down to the dock and river, but it was fun to enjoy the deck and all its space. The sunsets were beautiful along the river.

Great Stay

This property is very nice. The owner greets with a special package of items from the local area. The beds are overly soft for my tastes, but it was manageable. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view of the water.

Great place

This was our 2nd year visiting and it is still a great family friendly place. We love the deck and enjoyed fishing and swimming with the kids. Our hostess was very nice and accommodating. We love the gift basket, only place we been to that does that!

Great escape

This was a nice house with beautiful views both from the house and deck. Good fishing in the river. A great place for a family to escape into nature. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive.

Family vacation

The perfect place!

Wow! There are not enough Greta things to say about this place. Clean, the place is huge! Like other reviewers have said, the pictures do not the place justice. We had such a great time. The doc is really nice and there are plenty of hang out areas. Really nice that there are board games in the house We would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the area. It is perfect!

Wonderful lake front property

The pictures don't do this beautiful home justice! Everything was very clean and had everything we needed! Communication was very easy with the owners. The neighborhood is wonderful, the sunsets from the deck are amazing. I loved kayaking on the lake/river, it was nice calm water. There are tons of stairs to the dock so if you have mobility issues this may not be ideal, but we loved it! The welcome basket was such a nice touch as well! Check out the Laurel-Snow natural area near there, the Laurel waterfall was beautiful!

Best lake venue ever!!!

It was simply amazing!! Reserved the venue for grandson’s graduation celebration…and it was perfect. The house was expansive and had plenty of space for family and friends. The house is well-furnished and exactly as described. What impressed us the most was how clean the house and furnishings were. The dock and pavilion area were exactly what we had hoped for. The views from the house, pavilion, and dock are beautiful…could not have asked for more. The gift basket was unbelievable and an unexpected touch. We definitely will be returning in the future!!!

You won't want to leave!

The house is amazing! It's huge and has amazing views from so many decks. Everything you need is there. Yes, there are a lot of steps to the lake, but every one is worth it. We spent so much time in the lake and on the dock. Used the fire pit for s'mores. Our dog had a blast as well, he loved the water too. Went on hikes and visited the sites in Chattanooga. And the welcome gifts were amazing! So generous and a wonderful surprise. So much too do we didn't want to leave.

Enjoyed the stay alot

We came for a week with family and kids of all ages. The location is breathtaking and the house is very nice. It definitely fits 10 people comfortably and still room left over. We had our boat with us and the dock was great. The kayaks and paddle boards that were provided were used daily by the teens it was a big plus. The house itself was very nice but can use some work in some spots like floors in the living room almost non of the doors lock but in that area I didn't worry about locking doors. When we got in I noticed it wasn't clean. Once we found out that teens next door upkeep in between stays I wasn't surprised. They should really have a cleaning service. However the owner was great in communicating if we had any issues and the neighbors we very helpful and nice. The road to the location was tight for pulling a trailer so go slow if you do. They had almost everything you needed in the kitchen and laundry. The gift basket was a nice touch and some stuff in the fridge. The garbage didn't get picked up until Wednesday and trash started to overflow. As for staying there again, yes definitely. Overall we loved our stay thank you for a great time.

Amazing river views

The property was almost perfect for our large group consisting of kids from ages 3-16 and their parents. We loved the proximity to the water where we swam almost daily. The kayaks, floats, and paddle boards (and life jackets) were a major bonus. We also appreciated the welcome basket as well as other extras (spices, plenty of cooking utensils and cookware, dishwasher pods, ziplock biggies, etc). During our stay, it took about 3 days for the main level to cool off. The upper level and lower level cooled of quite quickly, the main level just wouldn't cool off. The ceiling fans and extra fan in the master closet helped some. The new refrigerator also wasnt making ice as it should. We often found ourselves running out of ice, so we bought a bag of ice from the gas station to alleviate this issue. The host was somewhat communicative. We were notified when they needed to visit the property to upgrade a patio set. Someone was supposed to come by to look at the ice maker and the thermostat, but never showed due to the host not wanting to interrupt our stay. There was also supposed to be a firepit, however, the previous guests scorched the deck so it was removed. We contacted the host about this and were instructed to build a fire on the driveway. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The price point, amenities, pets allowed, and proximity to the water were just what we were looking for during our week long stay. We would definite consider another stay here at Bev's property.

Spacious and welcoming, this “retreat” was perfect for our family’s time near Dayton. The plentiful deck areas made for pleasant outdoor time. The kitchen had most of what one needs to prepare meals and all appliances worked properly. We really enjoyed our stay!
