Welcome to your beach home away from home!
This condo is located in the Ocean & Racquet Resort, which offers several amenities. Enjoy one of our 2 pools (one is heated in winter), 5 hot tubs, 2 private boardwalks to the beach, 4 tennis courts, pickleball, fishing ponds, grill area, bocce ball court, and shuffleboard. There is a clubhouse available to rent which is perfect for family reunions or weddings.
The Wave Home condo is named because of the water-esque designs incorporated throughout the main living area. When you enter the kitchen, we have a custom-made countertop created by a local artist that looks like the frothy ocean washing onto the shore. Layers of blues and hints of golden sand will give you the feeling you're on the ocean, even when you're under a roof. The aquamarine backsplash sparkles like jewels and the kitchen bar opens up to a large living and dining area with beachy rattan that give a casual and relaxed vibe. Another local artist has created a watery painting that ties in the ocean wave theme.
There is even a separate mini-bar stocked with cocktail glasses, shaker, champagne bucket and more, if you feel so inclined to indulge on your vacation.
A teak bistro awaits you on the balcony that overlooks palm trees and hibiscus bushes, where the ocean breeze will rustle their leaves, as you enjoy a coffee, tea, or beverage.
The master bedroom is decorated in a traditional coastal style, which is a peaceful space of blues and creams. From the master bedroom's window, you can see just a slice of the ocean above the palm tree's tops, which is just enough of a tease to draw you down to the boardwalk to go see it in person. It's a lovely view when you wake in the morning, and you'll be able to tell if it's the kind of pink-and-orange beach sunrise that you must hurry down to see in person, or you can simply enjoy the view from your comfortable, white King-sized bed. Attached to the master bedroom is a newly renovated bathroom, where you'll find all the necessities you may need.
The second bedroom is a fun space for the rest of the family or vacation party. Decorated in a navy and white nautical theme, the tri-bunk bed gives the feeling that you're stowing away on a sailboat for the weekend. Children and adults alike adore this fun space! The bottom bed is a double/full, and there is a trundle bed that can roll out and pop up from beneath, if needed. Above are two separate twin beds for those who call "top bunk!" The room and linens are all decorated with anchor motifs, nautical knots, compasses, and ship wheels. Separate from this bedroom, but only one foot away, is a second bathroom, newly renovated in teal and white.
The entire apartment is stocked with items that will make you feel at home. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer, and all of the necessary kitchen items you'll need to do your own cooking while on vacation. All of the basic necessities you'd expect, such as an ironing board, extra pillows and linens, or miniature shampoos are tucked away in closets and cabinets for your use.
The condo is family-friendly with a pack-n-play, booster/high chair, toddler potty and bathroom stool available for little ones, as well as floaties for kids.
The living area, master bedroom & bunk room all feature a Smart TV, which allows you to log in to your own favorites (such as Netflix, Disney+), as well as cable. We also have a DVD player and a decent collection of classics for you to pull from, as well as games!
As you enter the condo apartment, the very first room on your left is a small laundry room with a stacked washer and dryer. The machines work great and there are beach chairs and other pool/beach items we have left in there for your use.
Families: We have a step-stool in the second bathroom so that little ones can more easily get on the potty. There is a pack-and-play stowed away in the master bedroom closet. We have a puddle-jumper floatie in the laundry room. There's also a high-chair/booster for the dining room.
There is a guide book with personal tips and recommendations for making the most out of your St. Augustine vacation, and even maps and coupons for discounts at local eateries.
The resort location:
This condominium resort is situated in the perfect location. In one direction, you are less than a mile away from a shopping center for groceries, gas, souvenir/beach shops, restaurants, etc. and, in the other direction, you are less than a mile away from the beach center where the local bars and seafood restaurants are mostly gathered together. The St. John's Pier is also here which has volleyball courts and a wonderful Splash Pad and park for children. Nearby on the island is the Alligator Farm, Ampitheater and the Lighthouse--all wonderful activities! On the north end of the island is the infamous Bridge of Lions which crosses over into historical downtown St. Augustine, where you can wander the historic streets of the nation's oldest inhabited city and admire the coquina (shell) walls, Spanish-style architecture, the bayfront marina, and tour the Castillo de San Marcos
Other things to note:
-PARKING PASS

Our resort requires that at least 1 renter/guest be at least 23-years old and over. Whoever books & whoever collects the Parking Pass must be at least 23 or up. About the host
Hosted by Meagan Fowler

Hi! We are the Fowler Family and the hosts of this fun vacation rental in St. Augustine Beach!
Mr. Fowler is an avid surfer and the reason we moved to the St. Augustine Beach...there's nothing as wonderful as being able to hop on a bike and surf every single day, or at least when there is decent swell.
Mrs. Fowler is an artist & writer and full-time mother. We have two little girls who relish growing up on the beach! We all ride on a tricycle together, loaded down with kids, a toy poodle, and beach bags and we head to the beach almost every single day--no matter the season.
Our passion for the beach life is why we were excited to jump into hospitality here and offer a dreamy beach vacation to others who would like to experience this historic and beautiful area.
We have compiled a Guidebook with our personal recommendations so you can "live like a local" while you are here, while also doing all of the must-see tourist things that you'd like to visit.

Why they chose this property
As locals who love this beach town, renovating this condo was absolutely a labor of love for our family. When we purchased this property, it had not been updated since 1980...and it took a lot of work to renovate it into the fun ocean-themed space that it is today. We wanted to find something beachside, so our guests never have to walk across the busy road. Our unit is just a simple strolling distance to the beach. As a family with little kids ourselves, we love to travel as much as possible...and we know the challenges that also come with this. So we've stocked this condo with things only families would understand are needed (like a step-stool for the bathroom and a little toddle potty lid for tiny hinies!). If you're a family with Littles, I know you'll appreciate the extra attention to make your vacation run more smoothly.
What makes this property unique
We love that the Ocean & Racquet Resort has 24/7 security. The guards at the front entrance are very helpful and keep a close eye on the property. There are several landscapers that work full-time to keep the property gorgeous. We love that there are two swimming pools and that one is heated, and that our unit has a bubbly hot tub in the center of its courtyard. Its fun to the "jacuzzi hop" and try all of the 5 different hot tubs out, too! There's tennis, bocce ball, pickleball and a few other outdoor games set up to play, too! What a wonderful space to bring a family for new memories! There's a lovely fishing pond stocked with fish on the property and a little dock for sitting with your rod. There's plenty to do while at the resort, though we encourage you to get out and about to see all this amazing historic town has to offer as well.
