Viewtopia - New Hot Tub with Amazing Views on 160+ acres

GET AWAY FROM IT ALL at scenic Viewtopia, less than 30 minutes from Chattanooga and it's many attractions. This quiet, secluded retreat is perched atop a north Georgia ridge in Rock Spring, GA on 160+ acres of woods. The views are amazing and the peaceful solitude will surround you. This romantic retreat is nestled at the end of a winding private road where you may see deer, rabbits & wild turkey grazing along the way. There is a wrap-around deck, sun room and covered patio all facing the expansive view across distant ridges as far as the eye can see. Sorry but no fires are allowed at the house. Please do not try to make a fire on our property or bring your own fire pit. The winds are too unpredictable up here.

NEW 4 person hot tub as of November 2021. Sit and relax and take in the view. There is plenty of outdoor furniture for your enjoyment, including a propane grill in our covered patio. Sip coffee as you watch the radiant sunrise or enjoy the glowing sunset with a glass of wine. Whatever you choose to do while visiting “Viewtopia”, we hope that your stay will be renewing and blessed. We welcome you to our “secret place." Even the locals who visit say 'I had no idea there were such amazing views in Rock Spring!'

Please be sure to read the Parking description in full! This house is up a dirt and gravel road. It is not accessible with a sports car or low riding vehicle. You may need to drive faster than the 5 mph posted signs up the hills only. Please not in front of the neighbors.

Our kitchens (we have 2 full kitchens) are well stocked with condiments, spices and appliances.

RENOVATIONS - New paint, new sliding doors, new refrigerators, new front door with blinds, upgraded water filtration system for pure, great-tasting well water, tankless water heater for unlimited hot water, new sun shades in common areas and black out shades in the bedrooms. New 4 person hot tub and metal roof in November 2021.

Smoking is not allowed indoors; however, there are plenty of decks and porches for smoking. : ) Please use the ash trays provided. We do allow well-behaved dogs. Our pet fee is $50 with a limit of 2 dogs.

***Owners may be onsite in a camper, but will not be in the house, accessing the house or in your way at all. We are NOT 'helicopter hosts' as we want you to enjoy your stay as we share our home with you.***

Great Getaway!

Clean property, wonderful views as described! Pool table and hot tub a big plus for us and our kids. LOVE that this is dog-friendly and has a dog run! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful location and view!

The location was ideal for our family get together. Room for 8 adults. Beautiful view and peaceful but Chattanooga close. The house was clean and we really enjoyed the hot tub at night.

Incredible View!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Viewtopia! The house is very well stocked and accommodated our group of parents and travel softball players perfectly. We wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the views and the amenities!

Fabulous place!

We had such a great time here. The view was amazing and it was a great place for having a large party of adults. We had 7 adults total and all had plenty of room. This place is very dog friendly with the fenced in yard that connects to one of the bedrooms balcony. Our two dogs had a great time as well.

A Must Stay Property

My family and I stayed at this glorious property, it was a very last minute decision and Diana was able to accommodate. The process was so easy and she was super friendly!! The place is AMAZING!! Amazing views in every direction!

We loved our stay at Viewtopia! You can see for miles and miles from every window, the views are spectacular! A cup of coffee on the kitchen balcony for sunrise. A cocktail on the deck for sunset. The house was well stocked and perfect for a relaxing stay with our dogs. The hot tub was a great way to soothe the sore muscles after taking in a nearby hike.

Viewtopia is a fitting name

Property was beautiful, clean and comfortable, and Mel was easy to communicate with. Only gripe was that running water doesn't seem potable, but two large cases of bottled water were provided and that was greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the great words! Viewtopia's water comes from a well with a filtration system. It's totally safe, and we drink it whenever we're up there. It just smells peculiar. The high mineral content is actually good for you, if you can get past the "fragrance." ;-) Update: We have now upgraded our filtration system and the water has drastically improved!

Breathtaking view and ammenities

Mel, the owner, was so available to us at any times before and during our trip (not that there was ever a problem). The hiuse was clean, hot tub hot, and view AMAZING! It would be great for a large family because they have made it to where everyone can have their own little porch for privacy but also had several large gathering places to eat as a family. 10/10

Viewtopia at Rock Springs

We had an awesome weekend at Viewtopia. We planned to come to the Vintage Market Days of Chickamauga and visit with family who live in the area. This house was right in the very location that was perfect for our needs. We found everything we needed here to have a very relaxing weekend with a spectacular view. New Years Vacation

Our stay at Viewtopia was PERFECT! Pictures simply do not do the view justice. Mrs. Diana was so sweet and was quick to answer any question I had concerning our stay. The house was very spacious and accommodated 6 of us perfectly. Our family will be visiting viewtopia again in the near future! A sweet host, beautiful view and spacious home! We will be recommending Mrs. Diana as well as viewtopia!!

They're not kidding about the views

I loved this house. The views were amazing. You will be able to experience incredible sunrises and sunsets. Perfect for climbers heading to rocktown. I would/hope to stay here again. Could use a larger hot water heater though since it was not large enough to fill the tub in the master but it was a very cold weekend as well.

Oh that's awesome! Rocktown was the first place I rock climbed outside way back in 2001 :). So glad you enjoyed your stay at our house. As we are new owners we learned this winter about the tub & hot water heater not being a good match. We are in the process of putting in a tankless hot water heater to help with this issue. Great rental especially for 2 families. Great view.

Positives: amazing view,plenty of room for 2 families,inside clean and inviting,loved 2 kitchens & 2 laundry rooms. Well stocked,nice furnishings,pool table great. Lots of outdoor seating. Negatives: outside needs pressure washed and decks replaced (felt main deck was unsafe so we did not use) mostly used covered area near garage. Road to house should be grated and high weeds cut. Overall a great rental.

Thanks for all the positives! : ) There were some unpretty boards on that deck that we just replaced. We take safety seriously and never felt it was unsafe. We (and our guests) are on the deck regularly and have had family get-togethers there. We had replacing the boards on our lengthy to-do list, but since we knew they were sound, they weren't at the top of the list. That said, we definitely want people to feel safe, so the new boards are now in place. We do have the driveway graded from time to time, but we have to have it done during the dry seasons, or the next rain after the grading will turn it all to mud. As of now, it's bumpy, but solid. (Update 8/7/18: We had a long enough gap between stays this month that we were able to go ahead and have the grading done, instead of waiting for a dry spell.)

Perfect Birthday Get Away

I couldn't ask for a better birthday weekend. It was exactly what I wanted. Secluded, but close enough to enjoy the area. The views from the house do not disappoint! I even woke up early to watch the sunrise from the hot tub! Loved how dog friendly this place is! The dog run made letting them out to go to the bathroom so easy! The sunroom is perfect to cuddle with your pup and read a book. I could go on and on. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, book this place!

Beautiful views and fantastic furnishings.

Had a fantastic time. The views were spectacular. The lady bugs took some getting used to. Although the place was great. The smell of the water is so bad it was impossible to take a shower. I grew up around well water but this was the worse I've ever encountered. I will not be staying there again.

Thanks for all the positive stuff about Viewtopia! We had a new filtration system put in a few years ago, but it didn't improve the water as much as we'd hoped. We'd been looking for a solution and had just ordered a new catalytic carbon and peroxide injection filtration system. I'm sorry we couldn't have had it installed before your stay! It's now in place, and has made a GREAT difference! The cold water now has no odor, and the hot water has a minor residual sulfur smell that we think will go away as the hot water heaters are flushed with use.

Great getawa

Really cool setting and the house was perfect for or family of 4 plus our pup to escape for a few days. Having the dog run was awesome. We played many rounds of pool. We arrived after dark and it was a little confusing because there are no pics from the driveway but being the last house wasn’t to hard to figure out. The kitchens were well stocked with just about everything you could need. The only downside is the are so well stocked there is limited cupboard space for food. All in all I would return here and have already recommended it to friends and family.
