Please be aware that bookings DURING THE SEASON (usually June, July & August) are weekly from SUNDAY to SUNDAY. Off season you can request any dates, with a 3-night minimum.
Cottage accommodates 6-7 comfortably. A block and half walk to the beach, the house is tucked away on a secluded drive making it private and quiet. It has an open floor plan for dining, relaxing, and socializing. Features a large covered sound-side porch with new taller Adirondacks chairs and a picnic table for spectacular sunsets or just chilling while watching the activities on the sound. The porch has a gate to secure area for children and pets. Other amenities include enclosed hot/cold outside shower, washer and dryer, a personal pier for fishing, docking your boat/jet ski or just sun-bathing.

SOUNDSIDE HAVEN is a well behaved pet friendly rental... out of necessity there is a PET FEE of $150 per week for one pet and $235 for two pets. Please ask first if you have any questions about this!
Also if your plans change at the last minute and you decide to bring a pet just let us know, or if you decide not to after you've paid the pet fee, again let us know and we will adjust your account accordingly!
*** We ask that pets NOT be on the furniture or beds unless you've brought a large blanket to totally cover any area they will lay on. This is asked out of respect for our home AND respect for your fellow cottage guests.
*** Wet dogs can stay on the enclosed porch to dry, not in the cottage.
*** We ask that you take your pets over to the large pinestraw-ed area to relief themselves, NOT ON THE GRASS. The urine kills the grass and takes weeks to recover. As you'll see we spend a lot of time and money on our landscaping and ask for your respect concerning that.

SOUNDSIDE HAVEN does NOT include bathroom towels / washcloths or sheets for the beds. You may bring your own or use a linen rental service for your linen and beach equipment needs. Some will even make up the beds for you!

Endless opportunities for fun abide, including kayaking, paddle-boarding, wind-surfing, snorkeling, boating, water and jet skiing, and surf-fishing. For those interested, area rental establishments provide rental equipment such as kayaks, jet skis, bicycles, etc. Conveniently, some even deliver to and pick up from the residence. The Jolly Roger ocean pier is the perfect spot for ocean fishing. Near-by gift shops, putt putt and a skating rink offer family entertainment as well as the Missiles and More Museum just steps away. Summer concerts are held periodically and are free to the public. A popular coffee shop, The Quarter Moon Books and Gifts, offers a wine bar, evening musical performances by local artists and book signing events. Just around the corner is a public playground for small children to enjoy. In addition, Wilmington is nearby with its own host of coastal activities, including the notorious North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and the USS North Carolina WWII Battleship. Take a family field trip to the famous Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation Center located just off the island in Surf City.
