Skiing, yes, but also a typical hamlet in the Méribel valley.
A traditional barn XVII century renovated as part of a protection program of the valley's heritage.
In winter, more than a rental for skiing, you will feel at home, as part of a hamlet and a built in protected architecture. You can ski back to the hamlet by the route of the villages. Here you can also start a snowshoe day. In summer, you will feel the heart of a traditional village and can enjoy the many opportunities of all types hikes.
The chalet is situated in the heart and in the bottom of the hamlet of Chandon in bundled and terraced buildings of Granges and tiered houses.
Close to the free shuttle that brings the center of Méribel.

Beautiful converted barn

This was a thoughtful barn conversion in a quiet hamlet with excellent facilities. We loved the lounge area with views of the mountains. The bedrooms and bathrooms were great.

Tolle, moderne Unterkunft mit super Gastgeber!

Daniel hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und uns die wunderschöne Unterkunft gezeigt. Der Ofen im Wohnzimmer ist ein absolutes Highlight! Auch die Zimmer sind sehr modern und absolut geschmackvoll eingerichtet. In der schönen Küche fehlt es ebenfalls an gar nichts. :) Die Lage ist super, um in Meribel an den Skilift zu gelangen (mit dem Auto(/Skibus ca. 5 Minuten). Sogar ein Skikeller mit Schuhheizung & 2 nahegelegene Parkplätze sind vorhanden! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

On a adoré

Malgré une conjoncture particulière liée à la crise sanitaire nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel dans cette ancienne grange classée et aménagée avec goût. Logements cocon et fonctionnel. Le village est situé au calme et en même temps très proche de Meribel station. Le contact avec Daniel est très facile et agréable. Au petit soin !

The Owners:
In parralel to their international careers, they are very attahed to the idea of preserving the Méribel valley heritage, they support the initative of the municipality of Les Allues regarding the protection of the houses and barns located in Chandon.

They created the first restoration in 2003: this was La Maison de Marie, a bourgeois home with its wrought iron balcony coming from Italy. In 2015, they perform a second restoration: Les Granges de Chandon - le Bucher attached to the first one. 
In 2018, they perform the third restoration: Les Granges de Chandon - la Grange.

They currently speak French, English and Dutch.

Why they chose this property

An old family house for generations.
One finds tracks of the Chandon hamlet in the "mappes Sardes" and in the 18th century land registry.
