Beautiful tranquil house and garden

We thoroughly enjoyed our week here. The house was beautiful, spacious, clean and filled with lots of antiques which added character. The house is in a quiet rural location but close to Excideuil (we recomend the market) and Brantome for kayaking. Didier was a lovely host and came early in the morning every other day to clean the pool. Would highly recommend

Charmante, authentieke woning gelegen in een prachtig streek. Wij hebben hier 2 weken verbleven met ons gezin van 3 kindjes en de grootouders. Vriendelijk ontvangst van de gastheer die om de twee dagen het zwembad kwam poetsen en het vuil mee nam. Omliggend heel erg mooie dorpjes om te verkennen. Er leek wel een probleempje met de afvoer (onaangenaam geurtje in de badkamer). Zeker een aanrader voor gezinnetje die de rust opzoeken.

Wonderful!

A beautiful property inside and out, equipped with everything we could need and full of character. The location was quiet and relaxing but well situated to travel (by car) to chateaux, markets, caves, a recreational lake, the velorail and lots more. The pool was great and there were plenty of games (and WiFi in the lounge!) for the kids. The host was most welcoming and very happy to help us with any quick questions throughout our stay.

We had a fantastic time in this beautiful gite. Didier was very welcoming and helpful throughout the stay. It was in a quiet location and well equipped with the pool, table tennis, games, kitchen and a gorgeous garden with fruit trees and herbs free for use! Lots of villages, markets, chateaux, caves, Velorail accessible by car. We would definitely recommend it!

Het eerste wat opvalt in en rondom de accommodatie is de rust. Een paar huizen bij elkaar gesitueerd in een landelijk gebied. Het huis zelf ademt historie uit en kent verrassende vertrekken en plekken, sommige met trapjes te bereiken. Het terrein waarop het huis staat is ruim voorzien van planten en struiken en is groter dan men op het eerste gezicht zou verwachten. Gebruik van het zwembad was heerlijk tijdens de warme dagen. Elke dag werd het zwembad door eigenaar Didier in de vroege ochtend schoongemaakt, zonder dat wij er last van hadden. Onze privacy werd volledig gerespecteerd. Didier heeft ons hartelijk ontvangen en op de dag van vertrek uitgeleide gedaan. Voor wie het aangaat: Didier spreekt alleen Frans. Vanwege de dikke muren is het bereik van de wifi beperkt in het huis tot de woonkamer en de kamer erboven. Maar dat hebben we eigenlijk niet echt als nadeel ondervonden; het past goed bij de rust die daar te vinden is!

Le propriétaire est sympathique, la région est jolie, le jardin est superbe et tres bien entretenu, la piscine très agréable, la maison est spacieuse et fraîche. Nous avons passé un tres bon séjour.

Prachtige tuin met ruim zwembad. We werden hartelijk ontvangen, en konden eerder in het huis dan aangegeven, contact daarover vooraf was prettig. De inrichting past bij het huis maar is wel gedateerd. De kamers en bedden als ook de keuken zijn prima. Het sanitair is ook ouderwets maar volstaat. Wat heel plezierig is is de ruime tuin en vele kamers in het huis. De tafeltennistafel is veel gebruikt. het huis ligt op een rustig plekje. We hebben twee weken genoten!

la casa es preciosa y con muchos objetos curiosos, antiguos y de colección. Tiene muchos lugares para descubrir. El jardín consta de diferentes partes con varias casas que pertenecen a la propiedad. Muchas zonas para que jueguen los niños. Tiene muchas cosas que te hacen poder disfrutar más de la estancia. La cocina muy completa y con muchos accesorios y materiales básicos a tu disposición. Tiene muchos juegos, ping pong, petanca, pelotas también de rugby, dardos, billar juegos de mesa, colchonetas para la piscina, también dispone de accesorios básicos como 2 planchas para planchar, el secador... El entorno es muy tranquilo y la zona es muy accesible (no para personas con dificultades para moverse ya que la casa tiene diferentes niveles). Me han encantado los muchos detalles del anfitrión como los diferentes centros florales que hay por toda la casa. También sus detalles de bienvenida entre ellos la fruta fresca puesta con mucho cariño en el centro de la mesa de la cocina. El Internet realmente sin ningún problema era rápido y sin interrupción. En la casa había problemas para la conexión con las llamadas en algunas zonas pero no si salias al jardín. Lástima de la dificultad con el idioma ya que no pudimos agradecerle todos esos detalles que valoramos. Nos pareció muy cercano y atento. Ha sido una experiencia muy buena.

heel vriendelijke en korrekte eigenaar die ook uitgebreide info verschaft betreffende de mogelijkheden die de streek bied,zowel op culinair als op toeristisch vlak. mooi ingerichte historische woning .prachtig zwembad met omliggende tuinen. De gastheer beschouwt het verblijf van zijn gasten in optimale omstandigheden, als zeer belangrijk en is hoewel heel discreet,toch vlot bereikbaar indien er zich problemen voordoen. Wij hebben de woning gehuurd met de intentie rust en kalmte te vinden en het verblijf kon voor ons niet beter geweest zijn. Met oprechte dank aan de heer Cluzeau. Wij keren zeker weer.

Prachtige vakantie. Hadden wel geluk dat het de hele week 36gr was. De verhuurder is zeer vriendelijk maar spreekt enkel Frans. Het huis is verzorgd en er is veel te ontdekken. Het zwembad is meer dan in orde en de verhuurder komt om de 2 dagen om het te reinigen. We gaan er zeker nog eens naar terug maar dan voor minimum 2 weken want 1 week was veel te kort.

Wij hebben een voorspoedige reis gehad en kwamen om 16.00 uur aan bij het vakantiehuis, de eigenaar was daar aanwezig dat vonden wij prettig. Het interieur van het vakantiehuis was voor ons in eerste instantie een cultuurschok, maar gaande weg hebben wij het leren waarderen. Wij vonden het een bijzondere ervaring om in een huis te verblijven dat kasteristiek past in de omgeving. De omgeving vonden wij schitterend, met zijn kleine dorpjes, kerken en kastelen. Wij hebben vooral genoten van de sfeer op de terrassen van de restaurants op de pleinen van de dorpjes en steden. We hadden schitterend weer en hebben ook heel erg genoten van de heerlijke tuin bij het vankantiehuis en het zwembad.
