About this property
Carruth Cottage studio sleeps 4. Walk to Lake Junaluska Conference Center, lake, rose garden
Carruth Cottage is a recently remodeled studio apartment quietly nestled among the trees in a charming neighborhood. You will enjoy the privacy Carruth Cottage offers as it sits on its own, perched over the original natural stone garage. Although Carruth Cottage is a studio, you will find it surprisingly spacious with a roomy new full bathroom, a queen size bed, and a full-size pullout providing enough room for everyone. The attractive new kitchen cabinets are made of reclaimed wormy chestnut giving the home a warm feel while the ample counter space, well stocked utensils, cookware and dishware keep even the fussiest cooks happy. This lovely cottage offers cozy comfort and mountain charm without sacrificing modern conveniences. Enjoy dinner outside on the patio table complete with a shade umbrella. After a busy day of sight-seeing or attending a local conference, the deck is the perfect place to relax and unwind in the peaceful surroundings and under the large bank of shade trees. Imagine sitting outside in the early morning sipping your coffee and basking in the serenity. Carruth Cottage is a premium vacation rental studio home that offers relaxation and comfort, a beautiful wooded peaceful neighborhood, central heat/AC, cable HD TV, WiFi, paved roads, and year round access.
In addition to all that this lovely vacation home offers, Carruth Cottage is situated in an exceptionally convenient location. Carruth Cottage is mere walking distance from the Lake Junaluska Conference Center making it the perfect rental for conference attendees. Walk to the conference facilities or take the little ones to the Lake Junaluska playground. Take a leisurely stroll along the paved walking path that circles the lake while enjoying the historic buildings and the stunning mountain vistas that surrounds the entire area. The 3.8 mile walking trail has several gazebos and benches where you can stop and rest while enjoying your stroll around the lake. If you prefer, you can shorten your walk to 2.3 miles by crossing the footbridge above the dam. Whichever way you choose to go, don’t miss walking through the “Rose Walk” which includes more than 200 hybrid tea, grandiflora, and floribunda roses.
Golfers will enjoy a round of golf at the Lake Junaluska 18-hole golf course. While playing golf at the 68 par course you can take in the spectacular views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. This course is open to the public and families are welcome.
Located within a 10-15 minute drive are the historic Downtown Waynesville, scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, Cataloochee Ski Area, Tony`s Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (historic motorcycle museum, as featured on History Channels "American Pickers"), Ingles and Publix Grocery Stores, Walmart, and many great restaurants, local micro-breweries, craft shops, and boutiques.

Within a 45 minute drive is Hendersonville, where you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with an enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip lining and much more. Just under 1 hour away are Gatlinburg, TN and Pigeon Forge (home of Dollywood).
