Reservation got cancelled by the owner

Our reservation got cancelled by the owner two days before the beginning of the stay. Our reservation was confirmed by the system the day before. I know it is an indisputable right of the owner to cancel the reservation. nevertheless I have to say the excuse was not convincing, wheter it was our poor profile, the lack of reviews, I don't know. Luckily we found a better house on another site not affiliated with Vrbo. This time the reservation was not cancelled and we had a wonderfull holiday. Have to say that Vrbo did refund us 100%. However the experience remains 100% negative.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus in der Nähe von Leuchtturm und Strand

Dieses Haus ist sehr schön, tatsächlich wurden unsere Erwartungen übertroffen, denn die Bilder werden dem Haus teilweise nicht gerecht. Zu dem Haus gehört ein gekiester Vorplatz sowie ein sehr geräumiger Stellplatz. An zwei Seiten schließt sich eine möbilierte Terrasse an, dahinter jeweils eine Grasfläche - genug Platz, um einen entspannten Nachmittag auf der Sonnenliege zu verbringen. Erstklassige Betten - so gut habe ich schon lange nicht mehr in einem fremden Bett geschlafen und genug Platz in den drei Schlafzimmern. Die Küche bietet alles, was man braucht, auch hier Freude über den großen Kühlschrank, der auch genug Vorräte für 6 Personen schlucken würde. Die Lage ist 1A - einerseits ruhig, andererseits ist man in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß am Strand und bei den Restaurants. Verlässt man das Haus in entgegengesetzte Richtung, dann führt ein Fußweg durch die Dünenlandschaft direkt zum bekannten Leuchtturm von Ploumanach - da ist auch ein Spaziergang am frühen Morgen kein Problem, um dem Andrang in der Hauptsaison aus dem Weg zu gehen. Die Vermietung erfolgt über eine Agentur in Tregastel, dort ist auch der Schlüssel abzuholen. Die Kommunikation fühlte sich im Vergleich zu privaten Vermietern etwas bürokratisch an, aber bei der Ankunft waren die Mitarbeiter im Büro sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich und unkompliziert bei der Sache. Wichtig für die Reiseplanung: Neben der Miete kommen noch Zusatzkosten für Strom, Versicherung, Bettzeug, Endreinigung hinzu. Für den Schlüsselempfang hat das Büro am Samstag von 14:00 - 18:00 Uhr geöffnet, dabei ist mit Wartezeiten zu rechnen, wenn viel Andrang herrscht - auch wenn das Büroteam mit Elan bei der Arbeit ist. Insgesamt uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.
