Beautiful house and garden/pool. Very good quality kitchen equipment, the best we've seen in any villa we've stayed in.On clear nights the view of the stars is stunning due to no light pollution. We had a lovely stay.
Beautiful house and very well equipped. Great surroundings and places to visit. Peaceful and quiet, just nature, perfect to enjoy with family. 20’ to Figeac for shopping and 12’ to Asier with a delicious boulangerie! We recommend it 100% and we would repeat in the future. Thanks to the owner for being so welcoming.
Beautiful house in large grounds in great location
Very well designed house in large well maintained grounds. Excellent large pool, with separate BBQ house. Somewhat remote, but provides complete privacy in beautiful surroundings. We were pleasantly surprised that, despite the hot weather, the house remained cool if managed correctly.
Overall one of the best properties we have rented in France. Beautiful gardens, completely private and not overlooked, at the end of a private road with views over the fields which are stunning. The pool is amazing, heated and had a deep part on the centre but not around the edge, (so you could stand at the edge easily). There were lots of pool toys and inflatables there, (although we had brought our own as well). We liked to sit in the undercover pool house area when it rained and in the evening as it was sheltered from the breeze, but there were lots of different areas to sit in the garden depending on whether you wanted shade or sun.
The stone house was lovely and cool when it was hot (just make sure to close blinds and shutters in the day). There were no fans but we didn't need them! Kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, with a mixer, blender, baking equipment and even an electric scales! No microwave, but oven is state of the art and fridge the same. Bbq was spotless and gas fired. One issue with hot water/boiler was sorted immediately despite owners being in Belgium and it being Sunday in the French holidays!
We visited the caves at Padirac (booking in advance was essential), and there is lots of rock climbing (easy to v hard) and a via ferrata at Liauzu. We also did some Kayaking on the river Cele which was great fun. Only downside is that there is no local bakery (need to drive).
Overall amazing holiday, and very much recommended. Thank you!
This is a beautiful place to stay.
The house looks out over its own large grounds, with very large heated pool (12m) and over unspoilt grassland, with ancient woodlands in the distance. Wildlife in abundance.
Butterflies chase each other across the grass, grasshoppers hop, and cicadas chatter away til sunset. There is no light pollution, so you can watch the stars clearly at night.
Sitting at the pool, you could easily believe you were in your own country House hotel.
The house is tastefully renovated, with very good quality fittings and furniture, beds very comfortable, plenty of furniture. It is more spacious than the photos suggest.
There are two outside dining suites for six, one by the doors from the house to the garden, and one in a covered area at the poolside. There is a gas fired barbecue.
The kitchen has many more gadgets and equipment than you'd normally find in a holiday let*. High quality appliances and fittings.
The owner took great care to furnish us with all the info we needed. We had a friendly welcome from Ludwine, the local key holder, when we arrived. The owners daughter, who was staying nearby, also called in to check that we were ok, and gave us info about places to visit.
The owners spent several years renovating this house, and clearly invested a lot of love as well as effort.
There are 3 or 4 houses nearby, but you are not overlooked.
The nearest shops (baker, butcher, local supermarket) are in Livernon 10 mins drive away. It also has a cafe and restaurant. Figeac is about 20 mins and has everything.
The WiFi works perfectly.
English people please note that the satellite TV has no English channels, so best to bring your own dvd collection if you only watch English stuff. *There is no microwave.
