Built under the ramparts, the house offers breathtaking views of the city. "La Folie des Remparts" is a character house spread over 3 levels with a courtyard, completely renovated in a cozy and warm style. The raised courtyard hosts a jacuzzi, garden furniture and a pergola shaded by jasmine and wisteria where it is good to bask.

This house has seduced us with its charm and authenticity. We have furnished it in a contemporary way to bring you all the expected comfort. We hope you will feel like home. Lying in the jacuzzi, looking towards the ramparts, you will enjoy the calm and serenity of the courtyard. We will be happy to share with you the treasures of our region and advise you, according to your tastes and interests, visits to Carcassonne or its surroundings (Comtal castle, boat trips or cycling along the Canal du Midi, discovery of Cathar castles, swimming at Lake Cavayère, etc ...) and recommend good places to discover the local gastronomy!

The house "La Folie des Remparts" is located at the foot of the city of Carcassonne and Saint Gimer church, it is in the heart of the historic and touristic district of the suburbs of the city. It is quiet in a neighborhood where you will find very easily bars and restaurants. It is also 15 minutes walk from the city center of Carcassonne, "La Bastide Saint Louis", Saint Michel Cathedral, Place Carnot, the Town Hall, the Palace of Justice, the church Saint Vincent and 20 minutes from the Canal du Midi. Its exceptional location allows you to enjoy all the assets of Carcassonne, its typical market of the cities of the south of France, the liveliness of the city and all the necessary amenities for your stay.

A wonderful stay in a wonderful city

Amazing house in an excellent location. Fantastic facilities and a 5 minute walk from the medieval castle. 15 minute walk away from the main city square. Well equiped and super helpful owners. Hot tub was so relaxing after a day of sight seeing. If flying in the airport shuttle bus is great for easy transfers. Our only (small) disappointment was there are no supermarkets nearby for self-catering, although there's a local epicerie for basics (check opening times!) Another disappointment was some kitchen items were not very clean (but easily resolved in the dishwasher!). There's so many eateries nearby of all budgets

Excellent location

What a unique design! From the outside it looked normal but the inside had so many unique details that were just amazing! The location is spot on for doing many things, even walking to the Bastide was easy to do! Thank you so much for this amazing stay!
