Spectacular Santa Fe style home nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac in an upscale mountain side community. Enjoy sweeping views of Red Mountain, Four Peaks and the Mazatzal Mountains from the terraced pool-side deck or the raised master suite balcony.

Our private luxury home has it all!

The spacious secluded master suite offers a private balcony with a bistro set for two, giving way to stunning mountain views for your morning coffee or sunset cocktails. A top quality king mattress set and high thread count linens await you for a blissful sleep in our peaceful neighborhood. The master suite furniture has built-in reading lights, granite topped night tables, a hidden flat screen 40” plasma TV and DVD player. The bright, spacious ensuite is complete with a soaker tub, walk- in shower, double vanity, private water closet and large walk through closet.

High quality mattress sets and linens are also included in the other two guest rooms. Perfect for a second couple, one guest room has a queen size bed, large closet and 20” wall mounted plasma TV. The third guest room has a twin size bed and a writer’s desk plus access to a quaint, private deck, with seating for two to take in the sights and sounds of the desert.

Professionally decorated, our home is graced with over sized windows throughout to give you gorgeous views from the great room, kitchen and master suite. Indoor/outdoor living is made to order with Saltillo tiled floors inside and out. True Southwest style awaits you on our beautiful travertine tiled deck with views of Red Mountain in the distance. Your choice of outdoor seating - relax in our comfortable conversation area or dine al fresco at the BBQ island and bar. Enjoy our free-of-charge heated pool and spa, then relax pool side in our beautifully landscaped yard. Help yourself to fresh oranges, lemons, grapefruit and limes (seasonally dependent) from our mature fruit trees.

Our granite topped chef's kitchen is fully appointed with everything you might need to enjoy dinners in. There is plenty of casual seating in the kitchen, either at the pub style table or at the granite topped island. Or dine in our luxurious formal dinning room, stocked with a large selection of crystal and glassware.

Another Great Stay

We have stayed at Darren’s Arizona home a number of times now and never disappointed. Very easy to relax at the pool and outdoor barbeque. House is set in a quiet neighborhood with golf courses, restaurants and groceries all nearby. Look forward to another relaxing stay in the future.

Beautiful house and great pool

This is a great house in an attractive upscale neighborhood. It's even better than in the photographs. The area was very quiet and good for walking. We really enjoyed the home decor, big and fully stocked kitchen, and outdoor eating and lounge areas. The heated pool and spa were the centerpiece of our stay; there are fortunately directions on how to operate them. It was a perfect oasis for a relaxing stay and I hope to go there again someday.

Nicely furnished home in a great location!

We spent three weeks in this home and didn't want to leave. The home is nicely furnished and had everything we needed. One of our favorite features is the outdoor "kitchen" that had a built in grill and seating area. We cooked many meals out there as well as in the fully stocked kitchen. The location was perfect - a private, quiet cut de sac that is within walking distance (1 mile) to the coffee shop and the gym. Excellent views from the outdoor kitchen area/patio - especially sunrise! Darren was great to work with before, during and after our stay. We would stay in this home again and recommend it to others!

Fountain Hills Executive Home

My brothers and our wives rented this property for one week. The house was located in a beautiful, safe neighborhood and easily and comfortably accommodated the six of us.The amenities were exactly as listed. We expecially enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Shopping was close by. Although we BBQ'd most nights, there were many excellent restaurants nearby. We would recommend this rental hone to any group... be they semi-retired like us, or a young family. The owner of this property was fair, clear in his communications and honest. We're panning next years trip, already and will certainly come back to this house.

Beware you will loose your security deposit!

Beware! You will not get your deposit back! We were told that there was an electrician called to reset a fault and we were told we let the pool turn green which we did not. There are several trees that loose their flowers etc into the pool and we fished out a lot of debris. These are normal maintenance issues when you own a home. Also he cable was so basic we did not have ESPN or HGTV. Good luck if you stay getting your deposit back.

WE AGREE! As owners of this 5-star rated property for 10 years, we must agree! You will most definitely lose your damage deposit on your rental if you do not abide by the house rules (stipulated in the rental contract and provided for your review in the rental property), and more specifically if you do as Cindy W. did: 1. Disconnect the pool sweep and cleaning equipment causing the pool to turn "green". Clean up costs of this alone far exceeded the damage deposit. Our pool cleaning company attends once per week to care for, test and maintain our pool. We want our guests to experience the best. Disconnecting pool equipment in the AZ heat will cause a pool to turn green within days. 2. Plug the waste disposal with some unknown material, leave it to rot and smell and not advise the owners. The cost for plumbing repair alone was double the damage deposit. 3. Hang up on a phone call - initiated by us - to ask about these matters and to try and find a mutually amicable resolution to these major issues. If you are this type of house guest, we do not want you! This type of house guest lowers our standards. For 10 years our house has been maintained by a very professional and caring staff. Luckily we, as owners, arrived the day Cindy W. checked out. We saw the green pool (have photos), we saw the kitchen sink overflow due to a jammed waste disposal and we interviewed our cleaning staff as to why it took them three times as long to clean after this guest checked out. We proudly stand by our 10 year impeccable service record. We will not be blackmailed by this type of guest and this un-warranted review. Rule abiding guests are more than welcome! We have many return customers and are happy to have them and new ones as well!

Perfect location, great place to relax

This house was a great choice for us. Way better than staying at a hotel. The kitchen was large and well-stocked. Loved the outdoor area. We had some issues getting the hot tub to work, but Darren was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Impressive, Private, Comfort, high end.

This is a beautiful home away from home. very nice neighborhood. The home and area bring out a natural respect for all that is around you. The yard and pool area are so relaxing and private. The home owner Darren has set up everything you can think of to fulfill all of your wants and needs. Darren was easy to deal with, hands on, user friendly and professional. This made our trip that much better. Im actually reluctant in giving this review only because I want to keep it as my little secret so no one else knows about it, thats how nice this place is. Enjoy! GREAT HOME!

I will start off by saying I have never written a review before either positive or negative. I usually keep my comments to myself. After reading the prior review of this home, I felt we needed to share the great experience we had renting this home. My wife and I have been renting homes for over ten years from VRBO throughout the US. We have never had a home so well equipped with all the necessities. We only had three people in our group, but there was plenty of dishes, cups, pots, pans and etc to serve a much larger group. All of the items are of top quality. The pantry was filled with just about everything you needed, if you needed something you did not mind purchasing it and leaving it for the next group. The home location was perfect and very private, we have stayed in the Fountain Hills many times before but this was the best location we ever had. The exterior and interior of the home is beautiful and professionally decorated. The pool area was great, it has a built-in outdoor grill, bar area, lounge chairs and everything you would need to enjoy a relaxing vacation. We enjoyed all our meals outside and never had an issue with the pool. Dealing was Daren was very easy and he responded to any questions we had. We received our full deposit very promptly. The next time we plan a trip to Fountain Hills we will be staying at this home again. Michael

Great House in a Great Location

Call us crazy, but we like Arizona in the summer! Our first stay at this house was for two weeks in July 2014, and when we decided on another visit to the Fountain Hills/Scottsdale area this summer, there was no doubt that we wanted to return to Darren's house. We are a retired couple with family in the immediate area. This house is perfectly set up for low-key family entertaining. It has a generously sized kitchen, which opens onto the patio & pool area and is a natural gathering place. The kitchen is well stocked with all the typical glassware, pots and pans, knives, etc., and there is also a pantry closet that is full of spices, foil, plastic wrap, and most of the other things we would find in our own kitchen at home. There is a semi-formal dining room, a large family/living room, and a very impressive master bedroom suite (up a wide flight of stairs with double doors at the top, and separated from the rest of the house). The other two bedrooms aren't terribly large - one would be fine for an adult couple, but the other is on the small side and would be best for kids. I would rate the back yard as about an 8 out of 10 for privacy. The pool itself is totally private, but once you are in the patio area there are a few spots where you can see the neighbors and vice versa. The patio area is done completely in natural stone (the real stuff), and is highlighted by a new built-in BBQ and L-shaped counter. One thing that takes a little getting used to is that there is no key to the house for renters. Access to the house is via either a numeric keypad at the garage door, or the garage door opener for your car that will be waiting for you on the kitchen counter. It's a good system that never let us down, but I'm not sure what the backup plan is if there should be a power outage while away from the house. Overall, this house is a great deal. The owner is very easy to deal with, and answers all messages promptly. Fountain hills is a very nice neighborhood, quiet and calm but close to all the big city amenities. We like it so much that during this last trip we actually bought a house nearby.

Beautiful location, wonderful house, very private

We had a wonderful week here in August. Enjoyed the pool, the quiet, the mountain views, walking around the fountain in the middle of town (not too far away) and the house's many other amenities. We have stayed in Darren's house before and have always enjoyed our time there and the ambience of Fountain Hills. I would recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful Home Away From Home - Great Location!

The owner was great to deal with when booking this rental. We enjoyed the house, as it was in a peaceful neighborhood amongst the picturesque Fountain Hills. The house was clean and well kept and had all of the amenities we needed. The furniture was very comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone to relax. We enjoyed cooking our meals in the wonderful spacious kitchen. We would sometimes eat our meals on the patio outside, or just relax outside in the shade or lay in the sun on the lounge chairs, while watching the quail, birds and many butterflies enjoy the trees surrounding the pool area. It was very hot while we were there, so the pool was refreshing. We also enjoyed the hot-tub in the evening, while gazing at the millions of stars. We enjoyed the location as we are fond of the north part of Phoenix. Some of our favorite golf courses and hiking trails are close by as well, the drive to Old Scottsdale wasn't very far. There are plenty of great restaurants and other amenities in the area or close by and there was plenty of information provided for local restaurants, stores, fitness places, activities etc. We really enjoyed our vacation and highly recommend this vacation home. It truly was home away from home. Thanks again for sharing your home with us! We would definitely come back.

Anniversay with family

We selected this property for our 50th wedding anniversary. This home more than met our expectations. Excellent location close to activities yet quiet and restful. The yard was beautiful and well maintained. We enjoyed the pool and patio area with all the comfortable lawn chairs . The gourmet kitchen and dining room had everything we needed to entertain. This home is in a prime area near Scottsdale with great walks in the neighborhood and plenty of nearby restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the pool, hot tub and barbecue and ate outside many times watching the sunsets and just considered this home to be perfect for our stay in Arizona. Fountain Hills Paradise

We spent 2 months at this beautiful home and had a wonderful time. Everything was beyond even what we expected. The pool, spa, and patio areas were exceptional, we spent most of our time outdoors, enjoying beautiful views and lounging by the pool. Everything you could possibly want or need in the gorgeous kitchen, was there....The master bedroom is huge with a very very comfortable king size bed. Lounging by the pool, soaking in the views and sleeping on a heavenly bed. Yes those are some of our favorite things to do in Fountain Hills as well. So happy you enjoyed it and are planning to return.
