Private mountain log luxury vacation home on 3 acres. Only two miles off highway 40 and 10 minutes to Granby Ranch- 20 minutes to Winter Park- and 20 minutes south of Lake Granby, Shadow Mountain Lake and Grand Lake. 30 minutes to Rocky Mountain National Park. Amazing getaway for up to 3 families. Huge wrap around deck with hot tub. Two (2) master suites with king beds and en-suite bathrooms. 3rd bedroom sleeps a family of three with a queen bed and twin bunk.
4th bedroom/Huge family room with Five (5) queen beds built into the wall and plenty of seating, smart TV and shower room. A true Colorado Retreat.

This incredible Mountain house has beds for 16 people. A pack and play crib and highchair available if needed.

Loft outside master bedroom with desk for working or distance school work.

Fully equipped kitchen with gas stove and copper sink.

Gas grill, outdoor dining table and comfy lounge chairs on the deck.

Wood burning fire pit for s'mores and gathering. Wood is provided!

Four smart TV's throughout the house. Two separate living areas with over-sized comfy seating in each.

Two vehicle heated garage with ample driveway parking for additional guests, trailers, and RV's.

A beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting!

We all agreed this was the best cabin we’ve ever rented. Great location, enough beds and bathrooms. The property was secluded and beautiful! It was an amazing stay! Loved it!

Exceptional stay. The home was great for our group, kitchen very well equipped, lots of spots for hanging out and great spot for all the kids in the lower level (they felt like royalty). Hot tub, fire pit, forest, all were great. Amazing stars at night, feels very private and remote but quick (10 min) trip to town for groceries and any needs. Great location, near lots of spots for day trips, hikes, horseback riding, etc. would absolutely come back again, one of the better properties we’ve ever stayed in recent memory. Owners very responsive and helpful in general and with any questions we had.

Wonderful family trip

Beautiful secluded home for multigenerational trip. Little ones loved the built in bunks with curtains( their personal clubhouses) and we all lived the hot tub while it was snowing!

This place is GREAT! It's beautiful and cozy. I don't think I've been in a VRBO that's as well-stocked as this one. There was nothing missing that we needed. The MBR was wonderful - also nice that it was upstairs out of the way, nice and quiet. I loved the office space outside the MBR. I had plenty of room to spread out, it was pretty quiet, but I could still see the action below. Plenty of chairs and dishes (very cool dishes, btw!) for our large group. HEATED pathway to the hot tub on the deck was the bomb! Gorgeous view. The host was wonderful - responded quickly to any question we had, explained how to use wood stove. It wasn't super close to town, but we actually loved this, because it meant that we all stayed in and played games together, hung out in the hot tub, etc. Big huge deck where we sat and had coffee with the dog. What else can I say? HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We hated to leave!

Gorgeous log cabin in the mountains!

This house is a true gem! It's a little off the beaten path but worth every minute for the views and wildlife! We had 3 families and multiple kids and it was the perfect set up with the bunk room and "kid space". Craig is great host, was responsive and very easy to work with! Highly recommend!!!

Wonderful visit to the mountains!

We really enjoyed our stay at this mountain home. My large family all had comfortable places to sleep and everything we needed was available for us throughout our stay. The house feels private and offers beautiful views. We loved making use of the hot tub at the fire pit. It was a great place to spend some time together as a family.

Great for large groups!

Stayed here with my family for a few nights and it was great! We had 12 people with us including 2 children and there was something for everyone to do. Games, toys, etc! The view from every window is AMAZING and the drive to Winter Park skiing is quick and easy. Will definitely be staying again.

Homestead Hills Cabin

Excellent property with amazing views. The neighbors are not close and the cabin is beautiful inside and out. Family of 14 members from several states all met here for a long weekend stay and had a great time at the cabin. The location is perfect for activities in the surrounding area, 15 minutes from everything.

All the things you would need for a stay was supplied. Excellent location. We’ll laid out for a large group. Could use a bit more detailed cleaning such as inside kitchen drawers and outside cabinets. Maybe a regular wash of throw pillows and comforters.

A wonderful experience

What a magical experience! Waking up in the cool mornings and looking out at the mountains with a cup of hot coffee. Hot tub and fire pit for the evenings. Everything about this home is well thought out. Down to the Bluetooth speaker in the kitchen. Craig was a pleasure to deal with and responded to any questions within minutes. This made our family vacation magical.

Wonderful for a family gathering

Our family loved our stay at the Rasmusons’ mountain property. The house was in a beautiful setting, well equipped for a larger group and excellent communication with the owners. We loved the jacuzzi and used the fire pit area and we grilled on the deck. We did have an unexpected visit from a bear who figured out how to gain entry to three vehicles in the parking area. It left no damage that couldn’t be cleaned up and we learned our lesson to always lock our cars. No further bear problem after the first night. All 12 of us would highly recommend this property.

Comfortable Mountain hone with a cabin feel in a Great Location

We recently stayed in this mountain home: 8 adults, 3 dogs. There were so many things we loved about this place: 1. Location is fantastic! right between Fraser/WP and Granby. High up away from crowds and lots of privacy on the property (lots of pine trees but still had some great mountain views). 2. Dog friendly and conducive with a gate on their deck that allows dogs to be outside and contained. 3. Large deck with comfortable furniture. 4. Very nice hot tub 5. Fire pit for smores & enjoying the crisp mountain air (fortunately no fire ban this year). 5. Well stocked kitchen & large dining room table with plenty of seating 6.Comfortable beds. 7. 2-car garage and plenty of room for our coolers and things/plenty of room on driveway 8. comfortable furniture (if not a little worn, but typical of a rental) Reasons why I did not give this 5 stars: 1. Not as large or sprawling as pictures make it look - nor as new/updated. The kitchen was small and couldn't really have more than a couple people in there at a time without bumping into each other. Had we had more people, we would have felt crowded. 2. The WIFI is not strong. While we could connect & use for a few things, streaming was very difficult & not strong enough to actually work from the office area (cute by the way!) - Not a show stopper by any means, forced me to focus on vacation, but something to be aware of. 3. Some areas were not very clean, found several dead bugs throughout. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much!

Location and Views!! Plenty of space to spread out multiple families and larger groups.
Home is located in the Heart of Grand County and it's location is close to any and all of the mountain activities everyone desires. It is located in a very secluded neighborhood- you don't see another house. It's serene setting is perfect for families and groups truly looking to "check-out" and enjoy the Rockies during their stay. Groups looking to party and create loud noise- please not request to stay.

What makes this property unique

This home is all logs and the perfect Colorado Mountain experience. We have a wood burning fire pit outside for year round relaxing, and a wood burning stove inside for cozy winter nights.
