About this property

Cabin at Rancho La Siesta - A Wonderful Home on a 40 Acre Working Ranch

This 3 bedroom - 2 Bath Cabin sleeps 6 and is one of two guest houses on Rancho La Siesta. It sits on a gorgeous 40 acre ranch and has a spectacular view across The Ranch, over the Vineyard, down the valley and to the mountains in the West. You can enjoy magnificent sunsets from the deck, stroll the apple and pear orchards, picnic at the pond or in the Ruins. If you're here at harvest time, you can help pick grapes in the Vineyard or make apple cider in the Old Party Barn. Lots to see and do in the historic town of Julian.

If you need both guest houses, please see the listing for The Cottage at Rancho La Siesta which also sleeps 6 people. Or you can contact us through this listing and we'll help get you set up for a larger group stay.

We apologize this home is not pet friendly.

Oasis in the country
Always great to stay here. Plenty of walkable area; old country vibe; great respite from the City.

Owner held me hostage
The booking was for 4 people. 6 of my family members spend the actual two nights there in the cabin. The other 7 people the show up to the rental cabin showed up the morning of the checkout date. So the only spend maybe a couple of hours with us. The owner upon seeing the people she stopped our car upon leaving the place and sated the she needed to charge me $50 extra for extra people and wanted the money in cash saying she wouldn’t let me leave the property until I gave her the money. So I agreed to she she said just so we can leave the place. Then she found the excuse of the septic tank something she did not even mention to me to keep my deposit on top of that. Worts experience ever.

Nice “cabin”
It’s actually two single wide mobile homes joined together by an entrance/foyer/sitting area - made into a U shape. . Small but warm, cozy, relaxing, and the location is great. On a property with apple trees, a vineyard, a pond….and beautiful views. It’s a nice place - just know it’s “cozy” and remote. We enjoyed our stay there.

The cabin and property were beautiful, roomy, and just far enough from town for a quiet stay!
We had a great experience renting the property and will be back year after year!
