Room with a great view!
View was awesome! Owner overloaded you with instruction of how to care for the property. Could be more towels provided but since we were only 2 we stole from the second bathroom. Cabin could have been more appointed with kitchen necessities and seating for lounging. We were fine, but there was only two of us. Plenty of seats at table for eating for larger groups. Instructions should be left in cabin on how to run all the a/c units as they got buried in all the emails from owner. Felt a screen door on the entry door of the upstairs level would help cool the cabin without having to utilize the a/c as much. Ceiling or floor fans would be a cheap added bonus. If your towing a boat or trailer there is no accessible parking near the house. You will need to park it down by the mail boxes. All in all it was a good place to stay and would return.

Enjoyable Stay
We enjoyed our stay at this property. I love the view and cleanliness. I would recommend however that the owner scale down contact messages, and the extensive lists of things you have to read, once you've booked. It starts to become less relaxing and worrisome that someone wants to charge you additional for this that or the other. I also feel like bathrooms should be equipped with soap/shampoo/conditioner. And, the kitchen basics inclusive of a frying pot/and pan, cooking utensils.

High potential awaited
We had numerous maid issues once we arrived that I've communicated with the owner, who seems willing to accept feedback positively. The big selling point was the deck outside but he provided no furniture to relax on. AS he has stated, he had noise issues with previous tenants, doesn't mean you penalize adults who follow. We made recommendations to make this place much more enjoyable, I hope he follows through. No one wants to stay inside and using his hardwood dining room furniture to stare at the stars or the lake doesn't cut it. We mentioned to the owner that his place should be like a hotel stay with towels, and bathroom accessories filled and ready for use, for us it was not. He agreed to meet with his maid to get the services to match his price to rent. The yard is very steep and virtually of no value for recreation or relaxing which is why the deck is the focal point of this rental. The bed was comfy downstairs and the place had very nice ventilation from opening the windows to keep it from heating up in the hot weather we experienced. I recommended a barbeque for the outside deck, who wants to stay indoors and cook and the pit on his hill is not of any use, not to mention a fire danger with the very dry conditions at his place. We saw wild turkeys but no deer, that was disappointing, I think the heat was a factor. The lake would be quite a hike, and the walk back would be up a very steep hill. Be prepared to spend 10 bucks for access to every parking lot at the lake, there is a restaurant but I have no idea how good it is.

Julian House
The view is absolutely amazing and definitely what you are paying for! the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and we really enjoyed our stay here. The house definitely could use some upgrades (new carpet/furniture) and you go for the view yet there is no furniture on the deck to sit outside and enjoy the view with. We found out the hard way that you can't use both showers at the same time because the upstairs shower will lose all water pressure while you are showering. It would also be nice to have some minor comforts (shower gel in bathroom, coffee filters, extra towels laid out, etc.) Overall the location makes up for the lack of furniture and comforts but for the money you pay a few upgrades would really improve the overall experience
