Immerse yourself in the surrounding area: Beaver Bay Lodge offers easy access to a myriad of outdoor activities and natural wonders. During the winter, the lake can be easily accessed by ATV or snowmobile, with hundreds of miles of trails and forest roads winding through the vast national, state, and county forests in the surrounding area. The Namekagon and Totagatic Rivers are just down the road, offering great opportunities for paddling and fishing. The lake itself provides excellent water sports options, and the property offers ATV and snowmobile access to the trails.

Nelson Lake, with its impressive size of 2,502 acres and 31.4 miles of shoreline, is a fishing enthusiast's dream. Cast your line from the dock and experience the joy of reeling in a variety of fish species, including walleye, bass, and panfish. Kids will particularly love fishing from the dock, and the fishing can be very good.

Beaver Bay Lodge offers plenty of room for parking, allowing you to bring your trailers and ride out directly from the home. Whether you're planning ATV adventures or snowmobiling excursions, the convenience of onsite parking ensures a hassle-free experience. We have everything you'll need to have an awesome Northwoods experience!

Located in the peaceful and off-the-beaten-track Beaver Bay, this shallow bay connects to Nelson Lake. The bay offers our guests a beautiful waterfront view and is teeming with bass and northern fish. It's a great spot for kayaking and canoeing, with the main lake just about 100 yards from the dock. While the bay is not ideal for swimming due to its shallow depth (about 4-6 feet) and presence of lily pads during the summer, motorboat access from our dock in and out of Beaver Bay is no problem. Simply trim your motor and proceed slowly for 100 yards until you reach the main lake. Many of our guests bring powerboats, and typically there is a clear channel to follow in and out. The bay's peacefulness and lack of large powerboats and buzzing jet skis make it an idyllic and tranquil setting during the peak summer seasons. If you enjoy water skiing and swimming, the main lake is perfect for those activities.

Craft weekend
Overall, the stay was good. I asked about pet rules and was told basically just pick up after the pet but then was sent the house rules and even though there is a pet cleaning fee, it stated that no trace of a pet should be seen, including dog hair and smell. I ended up not bringing my dog, but another did bring hers so there was just one there.

5 day getaway with 10 and 13 year old sons
Plenty of space in the house - pool table in basement was a nice bonus. Good access to trails for riding and hiking. We were there in early spring so did not experience the lake but looked like good access

Birkie Weekend
Great location. Great property. Kitchen needs a few more pots and pans. Two small pans and an 8inch skillet were not enough for a big group - and no way to make pancakes. Heat was problematic. Too hot in the upstairs bedroom. Cold below and not enough blankets for the futons. The heat stove in the dining area did not work - needed the heat since it was a cold weekend! Overall we still enjoyed our stay and appreciated being able to bring our dog and use the big your big kennel. Thanks!!

Nice and relaxing
Very easy check in. Nice and comfortable house. We did catch many panfish from the dock and were able to get kayaks launched from there to the main lake. Thanks for a relaxing stay.

Wisconsin Getaway
Cabin was pretty nice and had what we needed. Was very peaceful and spacious. Was happy we could get on our side-by-side directly from the cabin rather than trailer it somewhere each day.
