We are only a 10-15 minute walk to numerous historic and cultural attractions, trendy neighborhood breweries, cafes, bars, eateries and a neighborhood park. Some of the attractions you will find in the immediate area include; Old Town Albuquerque (historic town square with boutiques and restaurants), New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, Albuquerque Art Museum, Explora: The Children's Museum, Tiguex Park, Ponderosa Brewing Company and Hotel Chaco (voted as one of Albuquerque's best rooftop bars). Our home is in a quirky neighborhood that is in transition. It has a patchwork of old and new houses, dirt and paved roads, old wooden fences and adobe walls. It is one of the historic neighborhoods in Albuquerque that is now undergoing a revival. Most of the homes are densely situated near one-another. Our casita is unique in the area in that we have a sizable pocket of space around us, a small gravel courtyard, bordered by a modest-fence with a nice brick patio that we just had built. We feel safe in the neighborhood at night, and frequently walk into Old Town, Downtown or breweries in the area when we are home.
By car, Lyft or Uber, we are only about 10 minutes away from I-25 and I-40; 15 minutes to the airport and a short drive away from all of the regional attractions that Albuquerque has to offer, like the; historic Route 66, Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, Downtown, ABQ Bio Park Aquarium and Zoo, Nob Hill, Green Jeans Farmery and hiking around La Sandia mountain. Finally, if you are coming to town for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, we are only about a 25 minute drive to Balloon Fiesta Park. You have many transportation/mobility options near our home, including; bus transit stops, scooter and bike rentals - with bike lanes nearby. If you are driving your own car, we allow our guests to park up to two vehicles in our private courtyard.
We hope you will come and join us in Albuquerque. All are welcome in our casita.
