We enjoyed our stay at the cabin very much. Everything was beautiful, inside and out. Bob and Sylvia were wonderful hosts. We loved our Montana vacation!
The home, as well as the property are beautifully kept. The interior is warm and rustic with all the modern day necessities. The outside property is well maintained and a perfect setting to be outside and enjoy the woods and wildlife. The hosts did a great job checking in once we arrived to make everything was in order and ask if we needed anything.
We had an excellent stay. Sylvia and Bob, the property owners, live nearby and are wonderful hosts. The house is lovely and everything you could need is there. It is in a beautiful location with abundant wildlife. We and our kids had a great time. Would definitely rebook if we are in the area again.

Glad you enjoyed your stay and your visit with family. We look forward to hosting you again.
Bob and Sylvia are wonderful hosts. They had the cabin ready to go for our Christmas in Montana. The cabin has everything you need and is close to town. This was our third time staying at their cabin and will definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.
This was our second time staying here and is the first place we look for to see if its available when we go to Montana. The property is lovely and peaceful. We really enjoy the wildlife on the property. Bob and Sylvia are wonderful hosts.

Thanks, Kristi. Glad you enjoyed yourselves. Hope you enjoyed Kalispell as well.
Cabin is as described, all the supplies you could need. We did not cook but looked like everything we would need was there for basic meals. Last night we were there it was hot in the bedrooms upstairs even with the windows open and fans on, if you are sensitive to sleeping when warm it could be an issue. Downstairs was always nice and cool
Myself and one friend enjoyed our days spent at this wonderful vacation cabin. ( ages 77 and 82 )We met up with family in surrounding towns for visiting and hurried back to spend quiet nights at the cabin. Watched a couple deer ..ate on patio .. just had a great experience there. Rainy nights watching movies.. We highly recommend this vacation home.. Hope to return soon..
I rented this for a weekend with my grandma and my partner, and it was the perfect remote (but not too remote) cabin for us! Beautifully decorated with all things vintage with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The property is gorgeous and overlooks the bitterroot valley. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a nice quiet spot to relax with your family, doing some cookouts (there’s a great porch out back), and it’s only 10 minutes from Hamilton. If we ever visit again we will be sure to stay here.
Comfortable and highly well-supplied cabin just outside town
The hosts know how to make you comfortable—they leave helpful instructions e.g. where to find plush cushions for the patio dining chairs; Towels and tp are plentiful; and in the bathroom you’ll find a basket full of toiletries for anything you may have forgotten. And as someone who likes to cook, my heart beat fast with satisfaction when I saw the variety of cooking utensils in the kitchen. An instant read thermometer: be still my heart! We spent most of our time out hiking and returned to nice showers and home dinners.Fast and easy communication with the hosts made this a great stay.

Thank you, Eleanor. I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay. Do think of us the next time your travels bring you to Hamilton again.
The location, the home, the property - all absolutely 1st class.
One would be hard pressed to find a better, more convenient rental in the Hamilton area.
The owners, Sylvia & Bob have gone above & beyond to make sure that guests want for nothing.
And that lawn .. ! Sublime barefoot therapy.

I booked this rental for a get together that was 30 years in the making. The privacy and accessibility were a big plus. The cabin was very comfortable and made our stay very pleasant.
It was a charming log cabin. A Mother Moose and her baby came to visit for several hours on Christmas Eve!

About the host
Hosted by Sylvia miller
After a summer road trip with the kids through Montana, we fell in love with this area and purchased this home in 2005 as a vacation home. We would spend most of our summers here as well as Christmas. In 2015 my husband and I moved up here permanently and lived full time in this home while we built a main house on the property where we currently reside. Kids are all grown now and on their own, but they still love coming here.
Why they chose this property
What attracted us to this property was that it offered a mixed forested setting, with meadow, pasture and creeks running through. It feels private and secluded, yet it is only 10 minutes to downtown Hamilton, close to the hospital, post office and government agencies, as well as grocery stores, restaurants and shopping. Its also very close to the Bitterroot River, as my husband is an avid fly-fisherman!
What makes this property unique
This property offers great wildlife viewing....we have deer, turkeys, quail, as well as the occasional elk and moose browsing through our property, not to mention the multitude of birds that visit every spring and summer. We also have a great view across the valley, directly over downtown Hamilton.
