Tara is a 3-épis Gîte de France property, a 6-minute walk from the beaches, the dunes, and restaurants. Several hiking trails begin right next to the cottage. One trail heads north towards the expansive beaches of St. Brévin. Another heads south, crossing a forest and then following the coastal path along the seashore to Pornic via Préfailles, Port aux Goths, and finally Pornic, with rest areas and picnic spots featuring wooden tables and benches along the way.
The house is located in a private, wooded park covering 4,000 m², 800 m² of which adjoins the villa. The cottage opens onto a south-facing terrace, shaded by two awnings, allowing you to enjoy the sun, the sound of birdsong (thanks to our tall trees, many birds have found refuge in the garden), and the sound of the waves from the nearby sea. Here, you’ll find peace and quiet for a relaxing holiday. You can reach the nearest beach, Joalland, in a 10-minute walk. Popular activities include family swimming, kayaking, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and fishing—either from the shore or by boat.
The house is very bright and pleasant to live in thanks to its south-facing orientation and its large 2.40-meter-high floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the terrace and garden.
All modern comforts await you, including Wi-Fi.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a 38-square-meter living room with an open-concept kitchen, surrounded by two floor-to-ceiling windows, one of which opens onto the terrace.
A first bedroom with a 140x200 bed, also opening onto the terrace through a floor-to-ceiling window, a bathroom with a toilet, and a second separate toilet.
Upstairs: the second bedroom with two 90x200 beds. The room is spacious at 31 m² under the sloped ceiling, with two large skylights shaded by a blind.
The house is equipped with a washing machine, a dishwasher, a flat-screen TV, and Wi-Fi access.
The town centers of Préfailles and La Plaine-sur-Mer are 2 km away, and Pornic is 8 km away.
Restaurants: Several excellent restaurants nearby: “Au Retour du Marché,” “Restaurant Panoramique de la Prée,” “Le Calluna,” “Anne de Bretagne,” and more.
Local Cuisine: Just 1 km from the cottage, an oyster-farming area allows you to purchase high-quality oysters, shrimp, crab, and rope-grown mussels at reasonable prices.
Village Festivals: Every year, La Plaine-sur-Mer and the other villages organise a seaside festival. The town sets up giant banquet tables with benches and a live band, and offers grilled sardines, fish soup, the famous mussels of La Plaine, and fine wines from local vineyards at cost.
