💙 Our Story Tuttle Point has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. From early mornings fishing with my grandparents to late nights by the campfire, my love for river life runs deep.
Before I owned this home, I spent years visiting family on the peninsula, making lifelong memories on what locals call "the island." I knew I had to have my own piece of paradise here.
Every detail in Tuttle Point House was carefully chosen. The driftwood in the dining room? I found it on the shore years before I moved here, knowing one day it would come home.
In 2018, my dream became reality. The house was just a shell, but we transformed it into a beautiful, modern retreat. You’ll even find a book inside that documents our renovation journey!
We hope you love Tuttle Point House as much as we do and create unforgettable memories here.

Hi Bruce, thank you so much for your kind words! You and Lyn were an absolute pleasure to host and I’m so glad I was able to make your stay special!
We had a fantastic time and enjoyed the house tremendously. Being able to jump off the dock into the water during the heat was the most refreshing part of the trip. The use of the kayaks was greatly appreciated. Brittany was very communicative and provided us with all the information that we needed to help us enjoy ourselves during the week that we stayed. This was a very comfortable home and I would definitely stay again should we return to the area.
Beautiful property. Fenced yard which is ideal if travelling with a dog. This place has everything you need to kick back, relax and enjoy. Brittany is very welcoming and takes pride in offering a pleasant worry free stay for her guests

The location was fantastic! Fabulous sunrise and sunset views and excellent outdoor space on the water. The house is immaculate; modern and well equipped both in terms of the kitchen as well as for outdoor activities (kayaks etc). My husband and I had a great stay and enjoyed exploring the area. We appreciated being able to bring our dog who loved being on the water! Thanks Brittany for a great stay!

A fantastic stay at Brittany's place which is situated directly on the river. With a deck and dock at the river, and minutes to all other amenities, you have access to everything for a perfect stay. The house sits on a quiet peninsula with fenced yard and plenty of shade on the hot sunny days. Will certainly become a favorite getaway spot.

Stayed here with my son to have some quiet time together. Brittany was fantastic and super accommodating. The property is in a nice quiet location and has fantastic views and access to the St. Lawrence River. We were able to put the kayaks in right at the dock and explore the nearby islands.
The house was clean and modern with a nice touch of cottage decoration.
Will definitely return!
Lovely location right on the water! Lots of windows throughout the cottage giving beautiful views and an abundance of natural light. Although we actually spent most of our time outside on the big deck overlooking the river,
watching the birds and boats of all sizes passing by.
A very peaceful and relaxing stay. So enjoyable!
Brittany is a fantastic host, she communicates quickly and clearly and honestly. And she gives you a great welcome when you arrive and continues to be available throughout your stay.

Kevin it was so wonderful hosting you and Jean Yves! If I hadn’t met you at check in I wouldn’t have even thought you were there the house was so clean! I’m so glad your enjoyed your time and we do hope to host you again!
This is a beautiful house in a private setting on the water. We so enjoyed being able to fish off the dock and keep our fishing boat docked for our week stay. We were so thankful for the kayaks to go out and explore the water where the boat couldn't. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we could've needed and more. The weight room in the lower level is an added bonus our teenagers enjoyed so they could keep up their workouts. Brittany's added touches of fresh flowers for our arrival day was such a beautiful surprise - and she is a great communicator so we were confident ifwe needed anything she was
Mit dem Hintergrund des hohen Preises:
POSITIV:
Lovely location right on the river. Views of the sunset and sunrise were amazing. We celebrated our 50th anniversary there and Brittany made us feel so special. The house was super clean and very nicely decorated. It was so nice that I could bring my dog Jessie. She had a great time. We would highly recommend this property.
This is my second time booking this property. I would not hesitate to book again! The scenery is amazing and is the perfect location for me to have precious time with my family. The impact that Covid has had on all of our lives has made my family pause and reflect upon what is important. Having time together to celebrate, talk , eat and enjoy the beautiful St Lawrence in the privacy of this cottage is EXACTLY what I and my family needed. I hated to leave. What this cottage does for my family is brings us together and Brittany provides all that is needed to make the stay one where you can build precious memories together. I highly recommend Brittany and her property.
We were so pleased with the whole experience renting this lovely home! It was super clean with modern functional decor in the most beautiful quiet location. The fenced yard leading to the water provided a wonderful atmosphere for our two small dogs as well. We enjoyed watching the beautiful sunrises, kayaking in the river and enjoying quiet time on the dock. Brittany was a fantastic host and answered any questions we had with such a prompt and pleasant manner. We would most definitely recommend this property and hope to visit again!
We had a wonderful trip to Brittany's home on Tuttle Point. The house is exactly as described in the pictures. It is stylish and comfortable and was perfect for our family of 4. It is very well appointed and nothing was overlooked. Brittany takes great pride in being a host and did everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Highlights for us included swimming in the river, jumping off the dock, hanging out on the dock, kayaking around the point, day trips in Ottawa and Brockville and just hanging out and having fun. This house makes that all super easy. This home is a must stay!

About the host
Hosted by Brittany Byrd
Hello, I am your host Brittany. I am a local Realtor with Royal Lepage Team Realty. I purchased Tuttle Point House in 2018 and have been renting it to wonderful guests since 2020.
I help clients buy and sell homes and investment properties between Brockville and Ottawa. My husband and I reside in our home on the outskirts of Ottawa, and love spending as much time as possible at Tuttle Point House.
We hope you enjoy our river home as much as we do and we look forward to hosting you.
Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any questions!
Why they chose this property
I have spent many summers on Tuttle Point as my family has a cottage here. I fell in love with the river and the relaxing lifestyle that came with it. For years it was my goal to purchase a house here, which happened in 2018. It was only a shell when I purchased it (no drywall, no water, no floors, etc) and we've spent the last year renovating it to be a relaxing river house.
If you're interested in seeing what it looked like when we moved in, check out @TuttlePointHouse on Instagram! We posted progress photos along the way!
What makes this property unique
Here are our favorite things about our home:
- We have the most amazing unobstructed sunrises and sunsets over the St Lawrence River (both visible from inside our home). - It's quiet, peaceful and a change of pace from the city - The water is super clear and clean in the river - You can sit and enjoy a coffee on the dock - Being on the river you can do various water activities- we love to explore the island from the water!
