Comfortable 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment located at the Alexander Hotel with balcony, direct access to the beach including great amenities.

This spacious apartment is located in the remodeled historic Alexander Hotel. It has all the necessary equipment. There is a fully equipped kitchen, dining room space, living room and balcony. The unique setting of the building allows views both from the Ocean and the Intracoastal waterways. All the rooms have cable TV and great high speed internet which Is also available through the building.

The kitchen includes a full size fridge, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster.
Complete set of pots and pans, cooking utensils, dishes, glassware, silverware are included.
Linen, towels, pillows, beach towels, 2 beach chairs and an umbrella are located in the closets.
The bathrooms includes hair dryer, amenities and an iron.

Maximum occupancy of 6. This 960 sq unit has 2 bedrooms (1 king, 2 queens), 2 full bathrooms, lots of closet space.

Washer and Dryers are available on each floors (bring quarters)

Enjoy the hotel's amenities which include a heated pool with lots of lounging space, 2 jacuzzi, a sauna, a steam room, a fitness center, tiki bar, coffee shop and gift shop.
Watersports and boat rental options on site (additional charge). Great concierge available to give you tips and advice on where to go and what to do.

Check in through the hotel's front desk. $5 refundable wristbands are necessary for full access to the building.

The Alexander Hotel is conveniently located in Mid Beach, less than 10 minutes away from the heart to South Beach. Many groceries and quick eats options are available walking distance. Citibike station is located across the street as well as the mid beach trolley station a few minutes away which takes you all the way to South Beach. Convenience shop located in the lobby and supermarket 5 minutes away.

The building is located along side the beach and the access is located on the lower level, through the pool area. Due to the residential nature of the area, the beaches are quiet and peaceful. The newly remodeled boardwalk will take you all the way to Ocean Drive. Kids playground and public parking are located nearby. 30 Mins from Miami International Airport.

If you want a fairly economical way to enjoy Miami Beach, then this is it. Property amenities were very nice, proximity to the beach was spot on, and overall vibe was good. The actual condo is somewhat dated and has wear, but it is priced accordingly, so don’t go in expecting perfection. Condo floors were not super clean… first hour barefoot and my feet were dirty. If you plan on cooking, bring your own pots and pans and seasonings. Glassware and plates sufficient in the condo. Correspondence was a little difficult…I asked about 6 questions before arrival and only half were answered. When they say NO beverages and snacks allowed to be brought into pool area, they mean it. Also, they DO NOT provide you with any beach chairs, you have to rent them. As long as you are aware of these things and plan accordingly, it is a nice stay.

The room had plenty of space for a family. With 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms seperated by a common area was great for several people. The pools were nive as well with easy access to the beach

Nice condo in a great location

The condo is located in Mid Beach which was nice and the pools are awesome with direct beach access. The only negative is the people at the front desk of The Alexander Hotel are not friendly or helpful. The guy w the nose earring who checked us in was rude and not friendly. Vanessa with Blu Rentals was our contact via text messages and she was very helpful.

The staff was great, location was great but the room itself was very dated. Outside of that the room didn't feel clean. There were stains and ants and sand everywhere. There was cigarette butt's on the balcony along with the balcony furniture being dirty enough to mark up our clean clothing. There was holes in the walls covered with furniture. Just all around not the greatest. I think one of the funniest complaints my kids made was that they provide 1ply toilet paper in a 5 star price range! That being said I know every unit is different and I saw other complain about smell and air-conditioning. Our air conditioning in 511 was great though what they have considered the primary bedroom did get stuffy at night and our unit had no bad smell. It was a mixture of salty air and the air freshener they use. The other large upset was that you could not take your own drinks to the pool. I was told I could not take my kids cup outside and when traveling with kids drinks and snacks get expensive. If they hadn't charged my husband over $35 dollars for 1 single cocktail and a juice it wouldn't have been so bad but you can tell they're looking to make a dollar anywhere and when your drink are in stainless steel cups or non breakable tumblers those should be permitted at the pool deck.

Hotel Alexander Collins Ave

Big shout out to Vanessa our host . She attended to our needs/ concerns without hesitation. There were several things needing repairs/ attention . And Vanessa got this done immediately . Can't fault the host in anyway . However the property I would not choose to stay there again. No breakfast /dining area or bar. In an area that has nothing close by . Yes there is the free tram ride outside which took about 20 minutes to get to Lincoln road or any other local amenities . Wish I'd known this before. Looking on the map it " looked" fairly central. It wasn't. Need to do more research.of location.next time . The two pools were located a short way from the beach . Which was nice . But if you want to lie on the beach it costs $50 for two loungers and an umbrella per day . Unless you bring your own. 2 small chairs and an umbrella were in the unit . However with 5 Adults and one infant ,inadequate . Forget buying drinks at the pool bar .Rip off outrageously expensive . Food too( served in to go boxes) . Everywhere signs No outside food ,coolers or drinks allowed . We had an infant ( formula) Was told by the Security guard . Not allowed .Music is blasted all day long . Approx 20 songs on repeat . The appartment is spacious with a side balcony . Beautiful views . Two chairs on balcony ,unfortunately older and very dirty . Inside One large Master bedroom With ensuite 2nd bedroom 2 Queens large closet very tight .space.Old old tiny bathroom. Shower dripped constantly AC Very loud . Had to turn it off at night ,couldn't sleep with the racket .if you intend to just relax at pool and can afford their food and drink go for it In itself ,It could be made into a fantastic place if it was remodelled . But Old old plug sockets just put on the wall like you'd find in a basement . Slap job repair of cement on walls . Grout etc . Quick fix . Vents were all old rusty and absolutely filthy . Microwave was rusty and food caked on the door looked years old . cupboards No proper shelving for pots and pans all thrown in. 2 frying pans somewhat usable . Parking . $30 nightly .Inaccurate 50% more per night . Unacceptable . I stayed on Collins Ave very close to Lincoln Road . Parking $25 Per night .The unit is overpriced .whopping service fee added don't know why . Property damage fee extra. Room cleaning fee extra . For a 1980's 2 bed old unit Not worth it..I can do without. the hassle of security checks if I'm smuggling food or drink .Third attempt at submitting this .

July 4th weekend

Best location right on the beach. The pools and facilities are well maintained. But I had a hard time to contact with the host with my concern. Overall, this place is wonderful.

Wonderful service.

We recently stayed at this apartment and really enjoyed the location and the supreme service at this location. Everything worked very well and was just what we needed to relax. Everything was well maintained and clean. We have also stayed at other properties in other buildings next to this one which were extremely disappointing, so we are extremely happy that this one was very good.

The exterior of the building is newly renovated with nice pool and lounging area. Our room left a lot to be desired. Updated furnishings would be welcome. the bathroom is in need of desperate remodel. You can not bring any outside food or drinks to or even through the pool area to the beach, which is very disappointing for a family of six renting a condo. the beach is gorgeous not much for shopping or food options within walking distance how ever there are lots of ride share options to places about 10-15 min car ride.

Beach Vacation

Resort is nice with a nice beach. Drinks are very expensive but that seems to be the theme. The trolley system is nice once you get the hang of things. For us I think we would stay farther south next time. There wasn’t much for food within walking distance of the Alexander. I would say we got what we paid for.

We enjoyed our stay here, great location, everything was as described and beds very comfortable. Loved the location on the beach and the nice pool area. A couple things there were a concern no bath mat in the master tub and tub was very slippery, the kitchen was very nice but stocked well for 2 persons. lack of glassware, silverware and plate, and no ice. maker. We had a good stay but had to run the dishwasher all the time.

Spring Break 2023

The property is great with perfect location. The only thing I would complain about is if you take a wagon to carry all your stuff to they beach and have a cooler to take to the beach they not let you go through pool area to go to beach. We had to walk down the street to public access to go to the beach. After the beach we like to come to the pool and relax in pool and have drink from the bar but you can't because they won't let you enter the pool area.
