Welcome to My Heavenly Chalet, a comfortable and affordable two-story A-frame cabin just minutes from everything South Lake Tahoe has to offer. Whether you’re here for work, study, or an extended getaway, you’ll love the convenient location—close to Heavenly Ski Resort, Lake Tahoe Community College, bike trails, shops, restaurants, casinos, and the lake itself. Walk from the house to nearby mountain and meadow trails or enjoy the local community park.

Perfect for families or small groups, the home offers three bedrooms. Upstairs features a spacious primary bedroom with a king-size bed and television. Downstairs, two bedrooms each include one queen bed and one twin bed. A cozy game loft provides extra sleeping space with a pull-out twin. The home is about 1,500 square feet and located in a quiet, friendly neighborhood.

Fido is welcome too! The enclosed backyard is ideal for kids and pets to play safely, and the nearby Bijou Dog Park and neighborhood trails make it easy to enjoy the outdoors together.

Inside, you’ll find a foosball table and plenty of board games for family fun or relaxing evenings. The home also includes high-speed Wi-Fi and desks for remote work, studying, or journaling.

The house is great. It has everything you need, from games and puzzles to nearby hiking trails. And Heavenly is 5 minutes away. We were very comfortable and really enjoyed our stay!

I’ve been coming to Tahoe since I was a little girl (50+years), so I enjoy the local vibe and prefer to stay in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood away from the noise of the night life. Loved the Red House

Wonderful house!

We loved Barbara's property! We stayed for 6 weeks and could have stayed longer. It is in the best location, with several grocery stores, restaurants and beaches within a few minutes away. The many walking paths within the neighborhood were also convenient to walk or bike to the lake. We worked from the house and had great access to internet. Would stay here again!

Close to the everything

The property is clean but dated. All in all it was a really good stay - although the twin beds made a lot of noise every time we moved. It made it funny though, since we made fun of the girls sleeping in those beds. It was a really good base for our Tahoe trip.

To everyone hoping to enjoy a good night's sleep in the squeaky beds again, they were replaced (along with the other non squeaky beds). We discovered at some point had monkeys were jumping on the bed and breaking the box springs which caused a squeaky situation. Although it seems to have made quite a fun impression for several guests :)

My home away from home

This was my second year at the chalet. Although It was just me and the pup, family did visit. Great neighborhood and friendly neighbors. Met many during my morning walks with my dog. House is comfortable and feels like home. Hope to be back sooner than later.

Hi Barbara, We spent Easter break at your cabin and it was great. Everything about it was perfect. It was very roomy and comfortable. All the appliances worked great. We even BBQ'd in the snow! Great Location

This house is in a great location. We spent 2 months here (July and August). It's10-20 minutes from a bunch of beaches, restaurants and bars. Bijou Park was a short walk away and had a dog park, skate park, bike course, disc golf, etc. There are a ton of running and biking paths all around. All the basics were provided as far as kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, etc. For summer visitors, a nice patio table set w/umbrella would be nice to have. We ended up buying a couple chairs and left them there. Great place all-around! Owners were very responsive.

My Favorite Place, Tahoe

This is my 3rd year renting in the fall and my first time at the Red Chalet in Pioneer Village. It is So homey and close to everything. In fact, I’ll be back here in the Spring and Fall of 2022!

Great location, nice for family or two

I like the house and location - very close to everything at the town, but at the same time secluded in quite area, near great park. You can walk to the beach (~1.5 mi) The house can easily fit 3 families of 3. Well stocked (kitchen have everything you need, great knifes) , fooseball is a very nice feature. Couple things to consider: Cleaning wasn't done very well Very dirty curtain in the upstairs shower. Very old mattress.

Just what we needed!

Perfect location and home for a weekend away. It was easy (and quick) to get to the California Lodge for some skiing. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking meals. The back yard was great for our pup and toddler to have some fun playing in the snow. We hope to come up again!

Why they chose this property

When I was growing up in Southern California my family vacationed most summers in Big Bear. It would include my grandparents, my parents, my brother and I, and of course our dogs. Since moving to northern California my husband and I began meeting his family in the Tahoe area every winter. I also just love skiing during the winter, hiking along the beautiful trails and lounging by the lake during summer.We are always excited to visit the Tahoe area.
